I just got home from my first experience with Great Wolf Lodge and overall I had a great time! My cousin invited me to stay with her and her daughters as well as her daughters friends at Great Wolf Lodge for her youngest daughters birthday. I'd never been and figured why not as I could use a little getaway. This stay was not without it's issues as there were some things that happened early into our experience that were less than ideal. My family got to Great Wolf Lodge a couple hours before I did as I had to work a bit later than her and when I arrived i heard about a situation that happened in the water park...my cousin instructed her oldest daughter to watch after her little sister and her little sister's two friends who came with them but unfortunately her teenage daughter wasn't paying attention to them quite as well as she was supposed to and the younger girls walked off and after they did, they were looking for my cousin but had a difficult time locating her and my cousin's oldest daughter who was supposed to be watching them while my cousin went to take care of a matter...anyhow, the girls started crying because they couldn't find them but my cousin returned to the water park area just a few moments later and was met with a hostile security guard who had the young girls crying even more as he was yelling at my cousin berating her for not being there watching the kids and she calmly tried to explain that her teenage daughter was supposed to be with them but he just continued with a rant about how they're going to call the police on her and saying that he shouldn't be responsible for having to watch her children when he dosen't even like kids. (Side note: If that's how he feels he should definitely find another job, this family friendly environment clearly is not for this man).. anyhow, while i can understand where he is coming from about no one watching the children for that short time, it was a whole unnecessary and embarrassing experience for my family. Shortly after I arrived and set my stuff down and got my bathing suit on, I ended up meeting up with my cousin's oldest daughter who was just outside of the Waterpark area at the time and she wanted to go back to our room for a bit so we tried the elevator but the elevators in this place are extremely slow so instead we decided to take the stairs to get to the room. On the second floor of the stairwell, there was a man standing in a corner staring at us as we walked by, a few seconds later I turned my head to look back at him and he was still staring at us and smiling in a very unsettling way. Mind you, I was in a bathing suit and she is a very attractive teenage girl wearing a bikini so we knew he was being a creeper. We ended up just taking the elevator downstairs and reported him to the front desk. They couldn't really do much as he didn't say anything to us or try to follow us but they assured us that they would keep an eye on him through video surveillance and would take action if he was making other women and girls uncomfortable. We stayed another night as we didn't want this to be her daughters whole great wolf lodge experience for the youngest daughters birthday and we ended up with a much better experience yesterday as a very sweet employee by the name of Darlene took the time to listen to my cousin about the awful experience with the security guard in the water park and she really made our day! Darlene demonstrated amazing customer service by being present, fully listening to our concerns and showing compassion by offering the girls some birthday pins and getting us set up with the breakfast buffet. We had a nice breakfast and spent some quality family time in the Waterpark as well as the arcade yesterday without any disturbances! We also did the mirror maze and joined in on the family dance party which were fun experiences for the girls. I loved the wave pool as well as the howling tornado in the Waterpark and would like to come back to experience that again! It's definitely no amusement park and it's an overpriced place to stay for what it is but it would still be good place to go with family for one night every now and then...especially if they keep employees like Darlene around ! read more

We had an absolute (exhausting) blast at GWL! The good: --The staff is well trained. All associates we interacted with were helpful, friendly and attentive. --The lifeguards were exceptional. Scanning the pool zones non-stop. --The food was excellent. Surprisingly good for a resort running their own food operations. --Lots for the kiddos to do at all times - NONSTOP FUN! --Our use of a cabana (while expensive) was amazing. Allowed us to "crash" the kids for a rest and eat in a private area. --Hotel rooms were clean, spacious and well kid-themed. The not-so-good: --They need to scatter more benches and chairs for overwhelmed parents and grandparents. --Wait times on water slides can be excessive. --Some people in the pool area are not real good at respecting personal space - I don't appreciate your bare skin touching mine. --You pay a $$lot$$ for that amazing fun and training! read more

Unpopular opinion, but I hate great wolf lodge. This place is a shameless money grab, it is TRASHED, a nasty germ pit, and their pricing is a scam. First let's establish one thing. Yes this place is completely overrun by kids, I'm sure it's hard to keep up with the beating it takes. So is Disney, which is always clean and well kept. Great wolf lodge is not. Please see my pictures, this place is truly disgusting. Has anything been dusted here, ever? Sit in any common area and glance around and you will see dust EVERYWHERE, gouges in walls, food (bodily fluids??) on surfaces, it's nauseating. The kicker - they charge upwards of $800-$1000 A NIGHT on peak dates!! The scam - they tell you it's so expensive because the pool passes are valued at $75pp per day, and you can swim the whole day on check-in and check-out. HOWEVER, try taking a person off your reservation.... That should take $75 off per day assuming their pool pass is removed, but it does not. The percentage at which they raise their pricing on peak dates should honestly be illegal. The rooms are like a glorified holiday in express. They make them seem fun by tossing in a fireplace or bunk beds, but in general they are mid and just as trashed as the common areas are. Our kids thought the pool was fun but I also found it disgusting. The cabanas fill with garbage that no one cleans out if there isn't a later reservation and it's trashy and gross. We were evacuated from the pool multiple times an hour so they could shock it because some kid pooped/barfed in it again. After one day of using it I woke in the morning with my throat and nose burning like I had chemical burns just from breathing the air in there all day. I tried to go back in but the chemicals were so strong that it burned my eyes and throat and I literally could not do it a second day. I could keep going on the food, the dumb wand activities, it's all subpar and insanely expensive. For $1000 a day you could take your kids to Europe instead and literally save money. read more

We had never been to GWL before and WOW, to say I was blown away is an understatement! We stayed over New Years and had a the absolute best time - the staff, the activities, the endless entertainment. For how packed it was, everything was surprisingly clean (no one came home sick!). Even from the moment we called to book, the customer service was top notch, with our representative working with both me and my friend on two different calls to make sure our families had side by side rooms. We very much enjoyed the dining at Fireside - the firecracker shrimp was quite possibly the best I've ever had. The vibe was very low key, the endless activities from mining to swimming to build-a-bear kept everyone happy. I can't wait to come back again with my family! read more

Check-in was suppose to be at 4 (we arrived at 3 and started the process) we didn't get a room until after 5. Their excuse/reply was "Howls, there was an emergency situation at the desk, we do apologize for the issues this has caused." when I asked why I was told our room would be ready in 10mins and it had been over an hour.... Mind you I was in the lobby the entire time. There was never an emergency of any kind! Traveling with a medically complicated child and needing to do specific treatments on time and then having a huge delay is unacceptable. But it gets better. Finally get to the room and it's filthy. I have photos.... Whatever I brought Lysol and scrubbing wipes. Then we get a little pool time, have dinner, head to the arcade since every thing was delayed and a machine freezes on them while owing over 600 tickets. Great, I reach out to them on their " concierge" text line and no apology, no I'm sorry just "our attendants are gone for the evening. Take a photo, we can't help you right now" basically. There was a little more context and excuses. ok, great let's grab some waters from the vending machine and try again tomorrow - NOPE. They no longer have vending, everything is closed, and you can't purchase water bottles anywhere after 11pm. Just a word to the weary, when you see a great deal on a room hear - RUN!!! It's not worth the aggregation or complete lack of any customer service, any service really. I think a motel 6 would be better than this place. This has been a family tradition since I was a child and bring my own children I thought was going to continue that...... but no, never again. I'm so done with this place. Not to mention we had 5 arcade cards all of which had 10,000 or more points on them and during Covid their systems updated and erased years of arcade savings. that should have been the last strong but I kept allowing more disappointments. Cool idea and theme, but this place needs a good renovation and boost in staff morale. We booked the cabin suite where it comes with a camp themed bunk bed and single in its own little nook area for the kids and the main bed just around the corner was a queen, maybe a full? Bathroom consists of toilet and shower and the sink is set up outside in the room, not the bathroom. It is time for them to upgrade the sheets and linens to new ones and to brighten up their rooms. Their duvets, blankets, sheets and linens were clearly older and starting to fray and felt old and raggedy.The room which came with a fireplace, was dark and kind of cold due to the scarce decor. The idea was cool but for what they're charging, the expectation is higher for sure. Not all the staff were less than engaging. I'm talking about the lifeguards specifically needing to actually scan the area not just for runners but for hygiene safety as well. Basically there was a turd in the wave pool and they just allowed it to float around. My husband and son took one glance and were out of there. We spent a total of 15 mins in their water park during our 2 day booking. Needless to say, we won't be back. There are other resorts that we enjoy taking our children to where the bill fits the expectations and outcome and hygiene is not in question. read more

I love this place and truly appreciate the many positive changes I've seen compared to two years ago. It's clear that management listens to customer feedback and genuinely cares about improving the guest experience. I'd love to return again and see the resort continue to thrive with more happy guests and fewer negative reviews. For that reason, I'll focus mainly on areas for improvement rather than the many great aspects, staff, and experiences that made our stay enjoyable once again. Areas for Improvement: Room & Amenities: Adding charging stations in the lobby and USB outlets in rooms would be very helpful. More toiletries in the room would also improve comfort. Cleanliness: We noticed flies in the room, which should be addressed. Food Quality: Some food options, like the pizza and pretzel outlets, were disappointing. I've shared a separate review about this, but both quality and smell--especially near the pretzel area--need improvement. Wait Times: The wand shop still has long wait times compared to two years ago. More staff could help improve this experience. Value of the Super Wolf Pass: It seems to offer less value now, with more add-ons requiring upgrades. Guest Comfort: Offering complimentary tea, coffee, or flavored water in the lobby would be a thoughtful touch for arriving guests. Enjoying the waterpark when I get a text stating my room was ready, usually the check in isn't until 4pm, and I get a text at 11 saying its ready so I was super surprised, so I left my kids and wife and walked aaaaalllll the way to the end of the parking lot, unloaded all our bags and brought them up to the 8th floor. Upon nearing my room I get questioned by a staff member if I needed help. I say "no" and I open my door with my wristband and am met with a pile of sheets, a corner protector for the wall broken and leaning on the wall. The worker asks why I am going in and I tell them I got a text that the room was ready and there was some sort of supervisor or someone else there that apologized and said it was a mistake. I show them my text and here I am wet from the rain and with a ton of luggage like ..."okay" I asked if I could just leave all my bags right inside the door on the little bench and after some pleading was told that was okay. Upon checking out and trying to leave (raining with 3 kids who are overtired) my ticket says I owe 51$ and also scanned invalid at the exit gate. Hmmm, that's weird, because I was only there a day, so the new parking charge you DIDN'T tell me about while booking is only 25$, not 50. So I had to back out, and yes, there was someone behind me, turn around, drive allll the way back to the main entrance and park illegally while I ran in (still raining). I explain the situation to Gaby (who was very nice) and she takes my ticket and says "that's weird" and goes into the little side office and comes back out. "Here you go" she says and hands me back my ticket that has another smaller barcode or whatever on the back and she informs me to scan the front, then the back and that would get me out. "Okay" I say. So I run back to my illegally parked car, (still raining, kids restless) drive alllll the way back to the exit and pull in and scan, and scan the back and...INVALID whatever again. SO, and YES, there is a car behind me again, I back out and drive aaaaalllll the way back and park illegally once more and run in once again (still raining) and there is Gaby (still very nice). I tell her again, it still isn't working. She looks confused and looks at the ticket and says, "wait, what date is it" and says, "hold on " and disappears again. While she's gone i strike up a convo with a nice Russian man who asks "you cannot leave parking too?" We are both having the same issue. She returns with a new ticket with the double barcode thing on front and back and says this time it will work. So I run back to my car (still raining & kids in a manic meltdown) drive aaaaaallllll the way back to the exit gate and viola, it works fine. All told, trying to leave I probably wasted no less than 15 minutes. read more

We had day passes and paid for parking as we left the lot each day. Then they charged $25 for overnight parking even though we didn't stay overnight. Our family had a surprisingly good time here. There are so many things to do, and it was really cool to see how many planned activities they had in the main lobby for families to participate in. The water park was incredibly fun. We stayed for two nights and still didn't explore everything we could have and will definitely be returning for the next birthday. We had a Groupon for the junior suite and it was the perfect size for our family. The kids loved their little bunk suite inside our larger suite. Which immediately told me two things: 1. He thinks my relations hip is on fire 2. He's probably right Anywayyyyyy I roll into Great Wolf Lodge. 4.5 hours by vehicle from Vancouver blood pressure 181/100. Perfectly normal. The place is absolutely INFESTED with children. Like someone shook a giant box of Fruit Roll-Ups and they all swarmed out. Let me be clear: I've partied with the best of them. Clubs, festivals, Vegas rooftops ... you name it. And let me tell you... There's ZERO difference between adults on drugs and kids on sugar. Dilated pupils, same sudden sprinting, same "I need to pee RIGHT NOW" energy. The only difference is adults are doing different types of sugar. Kids are on Skittles and slushies; adults are on tequila, Pablo , and the slow decay of their will to live. But honestly The kids were handling their substances better. There's really nothing worse than walking around as a 40 year-old at a waterpark solo, i basically radiated "Sir, who are you here with?" energy the entire time. Then I find out the two best tornado slides require more than one person in the tube. I tried EVERYTHING: * Negotiation * Pleading * bribery Nothing. Slide guards were stone cold. Luckily, I ended up meeting three 11-year-olds -- Eric, Kyle, and Stan with the same problem Great little dudes. They kept hitting me with that new school coded language like "bro's 67" which, thanks to my nieces , I actually understand. So I managed to blend in like a government experiment trying to pass for human. The slides? Incredible. The rooms? Shockingly solid. But the real magic? The bar. Only problem I quit drinking This bar is basically the Parent Tap-Out Lounge I sit down, order my steak frites which slapped, by the way and all around me are parents medicating themselves with cocktails, massaging their temples, and staring into the middle distance like soldiers who've seen things. Meanwhile, about 150 feet away, there's a screaming horde of children in some kind of wolves-on-meth concert auditorium. The bartender tells me there's also a 13-mile obstacle course in the building. THIRTEEN.!! ? He said he did it with his kid earlier and was "I f$&kin cooked!" Bro... that's a half marathon. Inside a hotel. So yeah - if you're bringing your family or if you're looking just to check off a whole bunch of boxes as a dad that works way too hard this is basically Wally world- you need to watch National Lampoon to get the reference Five stars. I'm here by the pool now Hundreds PER NIGHT for rooms The food prices are insane. $20 for fatburger double burger meals. $33 for a sad limited dinner buffet I can see why yesterday the dinner buffet has like 20 people in it and I saw people in the lobby hauling in stacks of pizzas and other WAY cheaper food Pool side cabanas are $400-800 PER DAY!! My family and I recently visited Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA, where we experienced an incident in the wave pool that raised significant safety concerns. While in the pool, I observed a piece of feces floating on the bottom and promptly had my family exit the water to report the issue to a staff member. I accompanied him back to the location of the observation. He remained on the edge of the pool deck while I pointed it out in the water. Following this, I anticipated an announcement instructing all guests to exit the pool; however, no such announcement was made. I subsequently informed another employee about the situation, who acknowledged the issue with a brief "okay" and then departed. Approximately 30 minutes later, my daughter approached another staff member to convey the same information, yet she received a similar response before walking away. Throughout our time at the facility, we did not observe any employees entering the pool to address the issue or to remove the feces with a net. Consequently, we did not feel secure enough to return to the wave pool for the remainder of our visit. read more

Just a heads up when it comes to Great Wolf Lodge I had booked a good deal randomly a month or so ago for next week. Well now it doesn't work with Kobe's basketball schedule. I tried to change the reservation online before the holidays and it wouldn't let me and the website wasn't working. I remembered to call today and they told me it would be $100 to cancel. Even tho it's a week away. I want everyone to know this because I didn't realize and the dude was super sassy and condescending to me on the phone. I've changed hotel reservations pretty easily in the past... this wasn't 24 or 48 hours. This was a week away Just buyer beware I guess!! I tried to change to another random weekday in January and we told me it would be an over $200 difference. Crazy. So anyways- I'm out $100 bucks and was a member with them but probably will cancel after the shitty interaction. I missed the $100 dollar cancelation thing in the email I guess. Location Engagement with staff We had our second visit to Wolf Lodge and our first time staying overnight. The facilities are fun and family-friendly, which is why we came back, but unfortunately, the staff experience significantly dampened our visit. At closing time, a staff member yelled at us to get off the water tower without checking if we could hear him. Between the rushing water and splashing buckets, we genuinely couldn't hear what he was saying until he got visibly upset and came closer to us.. As first-time hotel guests, we weren't familiar with the close times, and the communication could have been handled much more respectfully. We moved down the tower as soon as we learned it was closing and my oldest ask "why do we need to leave mom" and same guy said "It's closed." Just seemed off, since she addressed me. We also had an incident with a lifeguard who blew his whistle at me, shook his head, and walked away. I had no idea why so I approached him and he said, "No inner tube." We had entered with the inner tube and weren't told anything beforehand, so the abruptness felt unnecessary and confusing. One other note: parents seem to let their older kids around with little supervision so be careful with little ones. With a 6-year-old and a 3-year-old, it was a constant task to keep them safe from being knocked into. Granted I imagine this is the busiest season, however the space could really benefit from better crowd flow management and clearer communication from staff. We still made great memories, but the guest service aspect has room for improvement. They have great activities for kids, arcade, shows, cool scavenger hunts and interactive floors. I really love how it's like the "Las Vegas" for kids. They will definitely party and have fun while they are here. We hope our next visit has better staff experiences and communication! read more

Listen. I am aware that everything is overly expensive, so I wasn't surprised at the total amount like others were. The rooms were fine, but where this place really shines is as a safe, family fun center. There's so much to do (Water park! MagiQuest! Mining Co! Mirror maze! Arcade! Food! Activities!), and we leaned into doing as much as possible our first trip so we could gauge what we'd like to do more of the next time we went. I would caution around the accessibility of this place though; the elevators are dreadfully slow and the MagiQuest game is intended to be up and down on different floors constantly. I could not imagine needing a mobility aid and escorting my kiddos up and down and down and up. Our recent stay at Great Wolf Lodge was deeply disappointing and not at all worth the price or hype. Let me be clear before you go any further in this review, I fully intended to spend money here, however, with the amount of money spent by myself and I'm assuming every other person that put money into this place, I would have hoped the service, amenities and overall experience would have been better. Let me start by saying, check-in was a chaotic mess that took over an hour, and during that time we weren't even told we couldn't use any of the resort credits--even though we were allowed in the water park. To make things worse, those same credits became inaccessible again once we checked out, which made no sense. If you pay for a package, you should be able to use it the full time of your trip. At night, the road noise was constant and disruptive, making sleep difficult. The parking situation was another nightmare; there weren't nearly enough spaces, yet you have to pay $20 to park a day, even with staying at the hotel. You don't even have to pay for parking at a hotel in Vegas, yet you do at a resort you pay thousands of dollars at for one night. To me that's unacceptable. Once inside, we found that seating was scarce everywhere--whether you were trying to eat, watch your kids, or rest for a moment. The resort was overcrowded with guests and day-pass visitors, which only added to the feeling of chaos. The arcade was a complete joke, filled with broken or pointless games, the ticket system made no sense, you barely got any tickets a game but yet they charge extremely high for the games, and Geneva, the staff member in the prize area, was extremely rude. She actually yelled at my child, clearly overwhelmed and taking it out on guests. The pull-out bed in our room collapsed on my foot, which was both painful and completely avoidable with better maintenance. Now I will be having to go to the Urgent Care once we leave to have it looked at. Worst part is when staff was contacted about it, they did not care. Even worse, there were used feminine hygiene products on the hallway floor that sat there for days untouched, yet somehow they managed to have someone constantly wiping down the elevators, which by the way took forever to arrive every single time. Starbucks inside the resort was no better--long waits and consistently bad drinks made even a simple coffee run frustrating. We just took my 18 month old for the first time and upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised. The room was nice, there were a ton of amenities (including Starbucks), and the staff was accommodating. It was a blast playing in the splash pad area and toddler pools. My son had a great time. Currently, I'm five months pregnant, which might have led to why I got so ill due to being immune compromised. But we knew the lodge would be swimming with germs everywhere and mindfully used soap and hot water after being at the park before eating anything. And pumping up on vitamin c before and during arrival. But sadly that didn't save us. I became so ill that I ended up in the emergency room having to get IV bags. I had a G.I. infection that is potentially Nora virus. My son has had diarrhea since we left and so has my mom who visited with us. We left four days ago and I am finally feeling human again. After posting about it on social media, I had more than 20 friends and followers comment back that they left great Wolf Lodge with Covid, bedbugs, pink eye, and other sicknesses! Also my emergency room doctor said that it was known for that place having tons of bacteria in the water, causing illness. I wanted to love the experience and come back, but we just can't risk the health hazard! read more

This is long past due after 17 years I'm still angry. 17 years ago my daughter's Girl Scout troop took a trip to Great Wolf lodge in Grand Mound, WA. While there she slipped and broke her leg. As a parent you never want to get a call at work that your child is in the hospital. I know that accidents happen and wet concrete is slippery however it is UNACCEPTABLE THAT NO ONE FROM GREAT WOLF LODGE REACHED OUT TO SEE IF SHE WAS OK. I think they were concerned about liability however there is something called compassion and being human that surpasses liability concerns especially since they had signed waivers. This place is simply amazing. The water park area has something for all ages and skill levels. There are life jackets for those that want or need them and those along with towels are free to use. They have a variety of food options right in the water park area, and the prices are actually very reasonable. Not your typical up charged food stands. The hotel rooms are extremely clean and spacious. The bathrooms seem to be a bit small, but you are coming there for a plush bathroom right? The mattresses were terrible. But that is not a deal breaker for me. There are a ton of extra activities to do there, from magic quest to the gift shops and arcade to name just a few. This was our first time going and I assure you it will not be the last. I feel for the first time it gave us a chance to see what we liked and disliked. We plan of going back on a day pass here soon once the kids get out of school and maybe another overnight later this year. So Great Wolf Lodge is a very fun time, but man they charge you for it. Everything has extra taxes and fees. Whatever price you're paying for the room there will be a $40 resort fee added per day, as well as sales tax. Wand topper is an upgrade, their kid games when you break down the "paw points" are like five dollars a game, the virtual reality game was nine dollars! Whatever you start with for the base price, triple it, and that's probably what you'll end up paying. The upside is it's very cute and original and the kids love the indoor waterpark. They make it very convenient for you to eat right by the pool with their restaurant. The renovations are nice. The rooms look good. Magiquest is very fun and the kids loved it. Sarah at hungry like a wolf was extremely sweet and helpful. Oliver the Raccoon was so cute and gave the girls big hugs and high-fives. The food wasn't great. The Hotdog on a Stick corndogs were so icky my kids wouldn't eat them, and it's really hard to mess up a corn dog. The Fireside Grill has adorable decor with tents and lights, but the food wasn't very good at all. And very expensive. The nachos were made with Velveeta! At the end of the meal, he didn't mention that gratuity was included and so I almost added another $40 on top of a $35 tip. I'm honestly super disappointed. There's no lazy river, the arcade is EXPENSIVE, the food is mediocre, and I was sneezing like crazy in this place! This is our second time going here. The first time, the novelty made it exciting but we didn't really try many of the amneties. We just went to the water park. This time we tried a lot more things and that arcade is such a disappointment!! The games are FUN! They pretty much set up the machines to let you win a bunch. BUT the prizes are not WORTH THE MONEY. I would recommend scoping out the prize shop first before blowing your wallet on this place. Make sure you see something that you want. I was sneezing and snotting like crazy in our hotel room and the conference room. I wouldn't be surprised if it was mold to be honest. But I'm not alleging anything. Just that I've never had such a strong reaction to any one facility before and the consideration of it being mold popped in my head. My lymph nodes started swelling! They have updated MagiQuest to the new game called Evergreen/MagiQuest+. It's the same 10 mile walk/scavenger hunt through the hotel 1st through 4th floor. It used to be all the way up to the 5th floor. They have taken everything away to the 1st floor that used to be in the 5th. Instead of figuring out what to do and where to go they now TELL you where (what floor or area) to find the items you need on the maps in the kiosks. All of the other conquests/ MagiQuest Legacy are gone....come to terms with it now. The entire hotel has been renovated. Its still fun though. The place is cute, some of the staff (the younger ones) are energetic & helpful, and the water park is great! Thankful they have a Starbucks here because the room coffee sucks big time. Lots of free activities like crafts and story time. Dance party is the best. IMO, water park closes too early. I think it's to upsell the other activities but they're way too overpriced. Wand that doesn't light up, $20. You end up paying $15 more for a light up and ON TOP OF THAT, about $20 to play the story wand game. Depending on how many kids you have, you do the math. Wish they had activities for the adults. This is why I love Disney: they have something for everyone. Not here though, it's for the kids. We did the buffet last night. Nothing memorable and the dessert was not quality AT ALL. Don't forget to ask for your military discount except at the bar. I did the mistake of asking an elder bartender lady for one and she went on a rant how she was going to email corporate how no one should be offering a discount for alcohol. I told her I was just asking if they offered one, but it's OK if they didn't. She kept talking about emailing corporate because that's against the law but I told her that I've gotten it in apparel and food and wasn't sure about alcohol, so it was simply a question but she states stuck on her tangent the entire time making the drink. Also, unless you want to stay sipping on a margarita, don't buy the souvenir cup. I made the mistake of buying one so we can get the discount they advertise, but turns out it's only on margaritas, nothing else. Wish they would've set up before or else I wouldn't have ordered it. We arrived on Labor Day and while it was busy, most people were heading home from the long weekend. The room we got was a standard King and it was quite large for us and the two 3-year old grandkids. They both had a blast in the water park and pretend play in the arcade. The lobby also had great free entertainment and crafts that the kiddos also enjoyed. We did splurge on the buffet breakfast which was a great deal since the 3-year olds are free, and a pepperoni pizza which was $21 and tasted like a Pizza Hut one. We also got a cup of 16 pretzel pups for $16. Other than that, we brought our own drinks and snacks. Such a great experience! Definitely recommend! read more

We came for my 5 year olds birthday and was a disaster from the start. We invited another family to come with us and their room and hallway smelled like a dumpster. Attempts to ask for help from front desk and I guess they sprayed something which was short lived. Service outside of a couple employees was horrendous. Long lines and waits for almost everything. We came over a weekend for a staycation after a busy month! Online reservations and options for adding packages was very easy to navigate. Check in upon arrival was straightforward however took about 20 minutes or so because there were quite a few others checking in at the same time. We love that there are changing rooms and showers in the pool area as we didn't have a room available under a few hours after our arrival. The food options were pretty basic but enough to make everyone in our party happy. We had the pretzels and pretzel dogs as a snack after a bit of time in the pool. There were an array of life vests available to borrow however some of them looked pretty worn out. My 1 and 7 year old loved the different areas and pools, we just wish the water was a tad warmer but after a few minutes, no one even noticed! We received a text when our room was available and had no problems accessing it. I love the ease of the bands to be able to get into the rooms and also access the amenities. The mobile ordering was easy and made dinner around everyone's showers simple. We opted for the breakfast and prepaid, good selection, everything was fresh, and tables were clean. I wish our empty plates were cleared prior to us finishing our meal as they were stacking up and that she stopped by to bring us napkins earlier in our meal but it was fine and we made due. Loved that we still had access to the pool even after check out and lots of activities to do before we left. I definitely do recommend and my son is already asking to come back again soon! read more

When I complained Brad from security threatened me and told me to limit my messages to the front desk. TL;DR Fun waterpark. Everything else can improve. Rooms: Our standard family suite was clean. The RFID wristband is a convenient room key. The mini fridge and microwave allowed for basic meals. Despite having limited choices with a room block, the layout is quite illogical especially for families with kids who need to sleep earlier. Why design the sink to be outside the bathroom, and TV in front of the beds/ so far from the living space; it's hard to be dead silent at night. Water Park: Pretty impressed with the variety, as I've rarely been to water parks in my life. Scanning your wristband to check in/ out towels was easy. Plenty of (bulky) kids lifejackets are available to freely use as well. Lots of side seating, but they can nearly completely fill up by midday. Other Activities: The arcade is a fun attraction, and it boasts similar games/ prizes as Dave and Busters, but at a higher cost. There are scheduled daily events (story time, games, arts and crafts, character photo ops) to keep kids entertained in the main lobby. For additional $$ theres MagiQuest, mining experience and outdoor rope course all well. Food: Overall more pricey for onsite convenience. The breakfast buffet was my favorite which had a huge variety of items for everyone. The restaurant dinner service is very slow. Ordering from the (very average) pizza place ahead time via the app is convenient. The pretzel and ice cream shops are mediocre. There's Starbucks and a mini convenience store too. Other notes: $15/day parking charge. Considering the area, which is nowhere like a 5 star resort, it does give you the impression of being nickel and dimed.
