They have a splash pad/very shallow area for the littles, 2 different sections of deeper water, the DEEP area where they alternate diving and free swim and a whirlpool. The pool is heated which can be a little weird on hot days but was mostly fine. My parents would have loved it since they get cold easily. Our little one was allowed to go in either in her floaties or in our arms. The locker rooms were clean and large and I appreciated the family rooms that are available. I only wish we lived in Fircrest so we could get a discount to use it but we love it all the same!

There's two entrances to the SERA parks and I was directed to the athletic fields first. Go down a little ways past that turn, and you'll see the spray park. Lots of parking. Not shaded though, so prepare for a hot car when you're leaving. This place is awesome for toddlers. The spray park is pretty big and there's a bunch of water features. Some weren't on for some reason, but I'd say about 90% of them were. Most of them weren't too intense for my daughter, and the only one she steered clear of was the bucket dumping one. That probably wouldn't wiped all 18 pounds of her out. Off to the side of the spray park there's a brand new playground (or it looks to be). It was too hot to play on the day that we were there, but I definitely plan on coming back with my kids on a more mild day so they can enjoy that part of the park too. Bathrooms on-site that also looked new. Not a ton of shade here, mostly just from the trees, so be prepared to bring your own or snag a spot under the limited tree spots. Picnic tables also available. Recommend if you're looking for a free spot to keep your kids cool!

Right away, our swimmers faced filthy bathrooms, an incredibly cold pool, a dead scoreboard, and broken diving boards. Things took a turn for the worse on the second day when the meet was abruptly canceled due to a broken pipe. For a major facility, an event cancellation like this is almost unheard of. It is sad to see such a beautiful, historically glorious venue falling into this state of disrepair. If I were a King County taxpayer, I would be furious and demanding some serious accountability.

There's nothing that mentions that you cannot watch without a ticket. It's just a basic swimming pool with some waves in it. I was told I would not be allowed in unless I paid the $10 ticket. This could easily be solved by having a wristband that shows who's watching and who's participating. The lady at the desk was incredibly rude and said no you're wrong. It's two adults you're paying for and I told her again that I just wanted to watch. She said you can't go and watch without a ticket that you have to pay for. Why would I want to pay the same fee as my husband just to go in and sit?

The parking lot shares space with a police substation so it feels really safe and everything seems really clean and nicely upkept. The park appears much larger on the map than I have checked out and appears to include a skate park as well. There are tables available to enjoy a picnic, or to simply sit while you watch children enjoy the playground. I did find the spray area to be a little underwhelming, but the playground equipment seemed newer and unique. The pool is a very good reason to come to this location. They are currently doing limited sessions due to lifeguard shortage, but its only 7$ for 2 hours. Best of all the wave pool is heated and feels amazing on a hot day. There are some water squirting things and one of those large buckets that dump water on everyone's heads. Lifejackets are available for use. On the day I visited there was plenty of room for everyone to occupy a table or lounger. It appears that the grassy hill next to the wave pool is a good location to set up and bring your own chairs, blankets, etc. There's a 1 ft wading pool that I mistook for a hot tub and was a little disappointed by, but likely great for smaller children. I also really liked that they have children complete swim tests and give them a bracelet to tell others what areas of the pool they are allowed to be in. My 7 yr old nephew insisted he could swim, but it was nice to have someone official reinforce that he needed to stay with adults or before a certain point.

Our younger to love to come to open swim, play basketball in the gym and attend all the kid events. It's really just been the best thing about moving here. We are a very active family so we get to come here together and have a great time. Our kids are ages 15,14,8 & 7. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best days for the little ones because they have family swim and the gym is Open Play 3-8pm these days too. The pool only goes to 4ft so it's perfect for our younger ones. Our teens just get in the jacuzzi they don't really swim but we just found out about the Eastside location so we plan to check that out today, it's bigger and you can use your membership there as well. We will probably go to the other location only once a week because it's like 15-20 mins from here. Kids 18 under are free 18+ $25/month. Great deal! I love using the adult jacuzzi and sauna as well! They also offer workout classes, personal training, this weekend is their free kids Christmas event. The Halloween one was lots of fun as well!

There was a Day of the Dead festival being held here that we saw from flyers around town. We swung by for a quick visit. We were very impressed with the community center with the walking track, swimming pool, conference rooms and other areas for kids to play such as video games and slides. As for the festival itself it was really cool and a fun cultural experience to have this time of the year. Lunch was served and there were dances and performances to honor the concept of the holiday. Not only do we live 6 minutes away, but it's nestled next to the aquatic center so parking is a breeze. Since this is a newer spot, everything is pristine and modeled very well. The bathrooms are spacious and clean and a good spot to change your kids into dry clothes after they're done playing. The splash pad itself looked small at first, but it really is a good size and my kids spent THREEE HOURSSS here and were asking to stay when it was time to go. They had a BLAST! There is a good deal of covered umbrella tables with chairs, as well as a couple large picnic style tables. There is also a good amount of lush grass perfect for setting up blankets and towels. As a toddler mom, I also appreciate that this place is SUPER fenced. There is obviously a small opening at the entrance, but other than that you don't have to worry about them having easy access to the street at all. They have two cabanas that are rentable, and each one fits about 10 ish people. They are covered and have comfy seating. My kids had so much fun here that we decided to book both cabanas for my son's August birthday party. There is a refundable deposit attached, but the fee itself is $75 for the DAY to rent (11am-5pm). Definitely an affordable price tag if you're looking to come here with a guaranteed covered space for the day. They also have a small "splash snacks" walk-up counter that has things like light snacks, sunscreen, and slushies for sale. I would say the only thing I noticed that I'm surprised they didn't add was a water bottle refill station. You could of course just use tap water from the bathrooms, but if you're not a fan of that, plan to bring lots of extra water. I see lots of days at the splash pad in our future!
