Our oldest and toddler had a blast running around and splashing about in the spray ground, last summer. We like that it's right behind the Star center in Tacoma. If you need to get a quick lunch, you can pop into the subway inside. You can also pack a picnic and let the kids play at the park. They have restrooms as well. All in all, it's a great place to spend the day getting the kids energy out

The park was awesome, but there was a man there that kept following myself and other mothers & kids, probably won't come back

A really nice neighborhood pool that, at least on weekdays and early on weekends, never seems to be…read morevery busy. I've had nothing but kind encounters with all the staff. No deep end for lap swimming but you don't really need that. The only really weird thing is that you have to exit the dressing/changing room and walk down the (freezing!) public hallway to access the pool. Other than that, no complaints!

Took a chance on this swimming pool and was extremely disappointed by the excessively rude and…read moreunnecessarily disrespectful pool manager. This is the first time I have been to this establishment I live in Gig Harbor and my daughter and I go swimming there 3 times a week since she was 8 months old. She has passed the swim test at six other pools. My daughter asked the Lifeguard if she could go into the deep end to do jump and swim, the lifeguard said that she could be there if I was there with her. This area is 5 ft: deep my daughter can tread water and swim on front crawl and back crawl freely for over a year now. After jumping and swimming approximately 20 feet to the other end of the deep end with me about three feet away the pool manager rushed out and yelled at me "if she can't pass a swim test then she can't be over here" and quickly scolded the Lifeguard who had allowed us in without offering to do a swim test. How could you consider this appropriate behavior to treat your staff and to treat your customers? As a mom of three, I'm always on the hunt for a good playground/park. The Fircrest Tot-Lot was…read morerecommended by one of my best friends as she regularly takes her toddler here, so we met up to let the kids play one day. The biggest draw to this place is that the park is fully fenced in. If you have a runner, they can only get as far as the fence (as long as they don't know how to unlock it!) My kids aren't runners, but I like knowing that I can see anybody who is coming and going from the park at all times at the one entrance. The playground equipment is decent. I'd say it's geared towards kids who are little older (3+) as my two year old at the time was much too small and timid to attempt going on any of it. They had swings as well and some climbing structures which she was really interested in. The interesting thing about this park is that they have a ton of random toys strewn across the park. Riding toys, building toys, music toys... I'm assuming people come and donate them and just leave them, because there was no rhyme or reason and kids were just going at them like a free for all. Some of them were in iffy condition, but they didn't mind too much. All in all, it's a good little park! Definitely worth the stop if you're looking for safe, fun park in Fircrest.

There's 2 main play structures, swings, tricycles and scooters to ride on and more. I was worried that this park would be totally geared toward the 3 and under crowd hence the name, but it's perfect for babies/toddlers/and older kids under 12. We spent 2 hours here and my kid had a blast. Street parking also, but very easy to find.
