My family loves this pool! We have gone a few times this summer and my husband, 2 year old and I…read morehave always had a great time. They have a splash pad/very shallow area for the littles, 2 different sections of deeper water, the DEEP area where they alternate diving and free swim and a whirlpool. The pool is heated which can be a little weird on hot days but was mostly fine. My parents would have loved it since they get cold easily. Our little one was allowed to go in either in her floaties or in our arms. The locker rooms were clean and large and I appreciated the family rooms that are available. I only wish we lived in Fircrest so we could get a discount to use it but we love it all the same!

My toddler son had a great time, especially in the shallow end of their pool, lazy river, and the splash zones. There are plenty of chairs around as well!

The grounds were super neat, they have life vests of all sizes from infant to adult. There was a slide, a grassy area for additional seating, lawn chairs and it's perfect to host a birthday party. The session times were the perfect amount of time and it was inexpensive. The only thing in is the line is long but it moves. I can't wait to go next summer. I prefer it over wild waves any day. Cons: the lazy river I sustained an injury from because I was holding in the outside of my daughter's tube and my foot hit a large metal grate at the top.It hurt so so bad and I was limping after. When I came and told the staff they iced me up and wrapped up my toes. So that is something to definitely be careful of.

No deep end for lap swimming but you don't really need that. The only really weird thing is that you have to exit the dressing/changing room and walk down the (freezing!) public hallway to access the pool. Other than that, no complaints!

Took a chance on this swimming pool and was extremely disappointed by the excessively rude and…read moreunnecessarily disrespectful pool manager. This is the first time I have been to this establishment I live in Gig Harbor and my daughter and I go swimming there 3 times a week since she was 8 months old. She has passed the swim test at six other pools. My daughter asked the Lifeguard if she could go into the deep end to do jump and swim, the lifeguard said that she could be there if I was there with her. This area is 5 ft: deep my daughter can tread water and swim on front crawl and back crawl freely for over a year now. After jumping and swimming approximately 20 feet to the other end of the deep end with me about three feet away the pool manager rushed out and yelled at me "if she can't pass a swim test then she can't be over here" and quickly scolded the Lifeguard who had allowed us in without offering to do a swim test. How could you consider this appropriate behavior to treat your staff and to treat your customers? There was a Day of the Dead festival being held here that we saw from flyers around town. We swung by for a quick visit. We were very impressed with the community center with the walking track, swimming pool, conference rooms and other areas for kids to play such as video games and slides. As for the festival itself it was really cool and a fun cultural experience to have this time of the year. Lunch was served and there were dances and performances to honor the concept of the holiday. Fun first time experience at this community center!

Right away, our swimmers faced filthy bathrooms, an incredibly cold pool, a dead scoreboard, and broken diving boards. Things took a turn for the worse on the second day when the meet was abruptly canceled due to a broken pipe. For a major facility, an event cancellation like this is almost unheard of. It is sad to see such a beautiful, historically glorious venue falling into this state of disrepair. If I were a King County taxpayer, I would be furious and demanding some serious accountability.

There's two entrances to the SERA parks and I was directed to the athletic fields first. Go down a little ways past that turn, and you'll see the spray park. Lots of parking. Not shaded though, so prepare for a hot car when you're leaving. This place is awesome for toddlers. The spray park is pretty big and there's a bunch of water features. Some weren't on for some reason, but I'd say about 90% of them were. Most of them weren't too intense for my daughter, and the only one she steered clear of was the bucket dumping one. That probably wouldn't wiped all 18 pounds of her out. Off to the side of the spray park there's a brand new playground (or it looks to be). It was too hot to play on the day that we were there, but I definitely plan on coming back with my kids on a more mild day so they can enjoy that part of the park too. Bathrooms on-site that also looked new. Not a ton of shade here, mostly just from the trees, so be prepared to bring your own or snag a spot under the limited tree spots. Picnic tables also available. Recommend if you're looking for a free spot to keep your kids cool!
