There are always two lifeguards monitoring each class in the pool, which gives us great peace of mind when it comes to safety. My daughter had teacher John for almost 2 years before seeing a different teacher. - program director is very receptive of comments. Example: one new teacher talked a lot in the beginning to the point the kids were no longer listening. Explained the situation to the program director and the following week, there was improvement. Short instructions, kids listened well, and ample swim time. My daughter would've stayed with Orca if it weren't for the fact that she wanted to join a swim team and needed that next-level program to improve her endurance and skill set. I enrolled both kids here for swim classes, they fill up fast and you have to know when open enrollment is, especially for the older swim classes but once you're in they roll you over into the next class until open enrollment starts again. The staff here are overall so nice and the instructors here have so much patience with the kids and really give them the tools they need to be able to not only become comfortable with the water but actually learn how to swim. My little one went from being semi scared of the water to now jumping in and being excited about showing me how he can put his head under water and make bubbles. My older one had one other swim lesson in his life and then did 3 here and he now can stay above water and has the basics for swimming down.

Both of my boys can hold their own in any depth, but neither wants to swim laps or tread water. It wasn't important to them, so it doesn't affect the review. The pool was nice enough, just nothing to write home to your mom about. The weather was nice and it wasn't too packed. The only issue is that there were several kids tossing footballs in the pool and between them throwing like crap and catching even worse, others often got tagged with a ball. More of a nuisance than anything else.
