Cons: the lazy river I sustained an injury from because I was holding in the outside of my daughter's tube and my foot hit a large metal grate at the top.It hurt so so bad and I was limping after. There's two entrances to the SERA parks and I was directed to the athletic fields first. Go down a little ways past that turn, and you'll see the spray park. Lots of parking. Not shaded though, so prepare for a hot car when you're leaving. This place is awesome for toddlers. The spray park is pretty big and there's a bunch of water features. Some weren't on for some reason, but I'd say about 90% of them were. Most of them weren't too intense for my daughter, and the only one she steered clear of was the bucket dumping one. That probably wouldn't wiped all 18 pounds of her out. Off to the side of the spray park there's a brand new playground (or it looks to be). It was too hot to play on the day that we were there, but I definitely plan on coming back with my kids on a more mild day so they can enjoy that part of the park too. Bathrooms on-site that also looked new. Not a ton of shade here, mostly just from the trees, so be prepared to bring your own or snag a spot under the limited tree spots. Picnic tables also available. Recommend if you're looking for a free spot to keep your kids cool!

Flat no for me and oh we will see for him? Service for the room. The family had reserved the south room with the stage and projector. They had it part of their package as they were going to project a video and wanted the stage for the live band... tell me why they told my friends family "we will have to charge you extra" to get the projector fixed that my friends family paid for?? Why are you telling us you are going to charge us for something you are supposed to provide? Make it make sense? Because we lost that space on the stage the band had to perform on the floor taking space from our dance floor... they refused to compromise/accommodate us for the lack of the thing my friends paid for. We had no dance floor, we had barely any space which we would have had if we actually had the stage. No one really danced, it killed the vibes of what was supposed to be a beautiful coming of age celebration. They were rude, unaccommodating, and repeatedly interrupted us throughout the night to remind us about wrapping up even though there was no event scheduled after ours. It felt like they were rushing us out the entire time. Initially, we booked the venue when talking to the coordinator that we would be allowed to have our service dog there. The staff was questioning why our service dog was at the party and we have had that conversation already & the coordinator said it would be okay. On top of that, the projector screen was positioned in a way that blocked the stage, and we were told we'd have to pay extra to use the stage even though the issue was due to their equipment being broken before our event. It was unreasonable and frustrating. Overall, the constant interruptions and lack of professionalism from the staff overshadowed what should have been a special celebration. The venue may be beautiful, but the service completely ruined the experience.

There was a Day of the Dead festival being held here that we saw from flyers around town. We swung by for a quick visit. We were very impressed with the community center with the walking track, swimming pool, conference rooms and other areas for kids to play such as video games and slides. As for the festival itself it was really cool and a fun cultural experience to have this time of the year. Lunch was served and there were dances and performances to honor the concept of the holiday. Fun first time experience at this community center!

I had my son in lessons there for 3 months, he had 3 different teachers and each time I was impressed. I appreciate the one-on-one time he got to with each instructor. Each lesson he worked on multiple techniques. After each set of lessons, we were given a detailed report card with info on what he needed to improve upon. Also! At the end of each set of lessons the kids get to jump off the diving board, which is super neat and definitely something they look forward to!

This is the first time I have been to this establishment I live in Gig Harbor and my daughter and I go swimming there 3 times a week since she was 8 months old. She has passed the swim test at six other pools. My daughter asked the Lifeguard if she could go into the deep end to do jump and swim, the lifeguard said that she could be there if I was there with her. This area is 5 ft: deep my daughter can tread water and swim on front crawl and back crawl freely for over a year now. After jumping and swimming approximately 20 feet to the other end of the deep end with me about three feet away the pool manager rushed out and yelled at me "if she can't pass a swim test then she can't be over here" and quickly scolded the Lifeguard who had allowed us in without offering to do a swim test. How could you consider this appropriate behavior to treat your staff and to treat your customers? To any managers of this location who read this message do not contact me do not attempt to get me to remove this rating you absolutely deserve this one star rating.
