I haven't been here in a while and had good memories of good food. Boy was I wrong . I ordered crab ragoons ,general chows chicken and egg roll. The ragoons and egg roll were so over cooked . I decided to give this place a try after going to Po's down the road for 15 years. I ordered H13: "SEAFOOD DELIGHT Lobster meat, scallops, jumbo shrimp sautéed w. assorted mixed Chinese vegs." The food was good temperature, tasty and the shrimp were delicious. What was lacking was scallops and lobster meat. I managed to find one scallop and one shred of real lobster meat. The remaining "mystery meat" appeared to be tofu perhaps disguised as lobster meat. The mystery meat was tasteless. I HATE TOFU. If you are going to use imitation seafood in your dishes put it on the menu. I'll give the place another try but will NEVER order this dish again. read more

This is a hole in the wall take out with superb food and plenty of it at fair prices. The Wanton soup is a grand slam. Tasty stock and lots of Wantons even in the small order. I and my pal usually order thirty dollars of food on a take out. We tip well and are treated very well, and nothing ever goes wrong. Eh. That's all I can muster about this place. I usually got the lunch special of General Tso's tofu (all their lunch specials are generally cheap, around an average of $4.15), and made the mistake of once asking for brown rice, which they offered for a dollar extra. I got BROWN rice. As in white rice tossed fully with soy sauce to make it brown. Egads! That was terrible, if only because my coworker who also requested brown rice got actual brown rice. Did they think I wouldn't notice? While I do admire that they have a single tofu dish (I dispise Ma Po tofu and ignore it thusly), they have been willing to substitute Sesame Chicken into Sesame tofu. It was pretty tasty, but overall, I've even felt the obligatory ickiness that comes from mediocre Chinese food. Don't think I'll go back since I don't work nearby anymore. read more

This was my favorite Chinese restaurant. Last 3 visits were disappointing. Everything was.so greasy. $40.00 worth of food. I ordered online, but still waited approx. 15 minutes and then they didn't even gives us fortune cookies. If you go, stick with the pan fried dumplings. read more

the place was terrible, I went in and boxes were all over the place and there was even a sink on the floor that I noticed after while was wait for food. it was so dirty don't know why I even ordered, also the chicken teriyaki isnt even edible. don't even think it was chicken some kind of mystery meat. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. We have now been waiting for over two hours for food that was already supposed to take an hour to get here. If the food was good, we could have chalked the ridiculous wait time up to a bad night; but the food was mediocre at best on top of being cold because of the delay. Had my food delivered by ordering online. Delivery time was early (that's a good thing), everything packaged perfectly in solid containers so no spilling anywhere (and a large soup too!) Included was paper plates, napkins, plastic forks & spoons, a big take out menu, and the driver was very friendly! And the portions of food were above average. Now the bad: The soup, although it was loaded with good stuff was watery. No flavor to the broth. The House Lo Mein, again, loaded with good stuff, was VERY salty. The Shredded Szechuan Beef, nice portion, lacked a punch and could have used some more Beef. Where's the Beef Clara Peller? Will not order again. A friend of mine who knows the family that operates this place says it has gone downhill little by little. read more

The only Chinese food place in the area worth going to, superb service and delicious food. Will never go anywhere else for Chinese food!

I have been going to Great Wall for almost 20 years now. It's an anchor in the neighborhood that has been run by the same family that originally opened the restaurant. They have very inexpensive and generous lunch specials. Their fried rice, in my opinion, is the best fried rice around. The chicken fingers generally have a good ratio of chicken to dough. General Tso's chicken is awesome. The beef ribs are cut smaller and usually have just the right amount of sauce on them. Not too dry but not over sauced. Their family dinners usually leave the two of us with another day's lunch and dinner for the next day! I moved out of the area a couple of years ago, sadly I don't get to come here that often. Occasionally I will make a side trip here to bring home food for dinner. They have stayed true and consistent with their quality and flavor after all these years. I love Great Wall, and whenever I can I will continue to support such a wonderful and hard working family. read more

The staff is phenomenal. I been ordering food here for a solid year since moving back to the area and it has been good every time. If you despise mapo tofu while ordering Chinese then you already have 0 idea of what you are talking about. I hate review sites web people so nothing but troll. We ordered the family dinner which came with a ton of food for $29. For a takeout Chinese place it was quick, inexpensive and they have parking out front. We had pork lomein, pork fried rice, chicken w broccoli and happy family which were all tasty. read more

Absolutely terrible service. The woman who delivered the food was peeking through my door yelling "grab pencil". I'm aware I need to sign when paying with a card, but I don't appreciate her peeking into my home because she failed to bring a pen. I didn't even get the door open all the way before she started yelling about the damn pencil again. Ridiculous. Never ordering from them again. My food also took over an hour to get here, so needless to say, it was cold. read more

We ordered food for the first time yesterday (Christmas Day) on a recommendation from friends. We got the pu-pu platter and some lo mein .We were terribly disappointed in the quality of the food. The beef teriyaki was like eating jerky it was so overdone! Ditto for the ribs. The shrimp was disgusting and the low mein bland. The egg roll and wings were the only enjoyment in this meal.Thought you would like to know. This is the worst Chinese food we have ever had, and we will not be back! read more

I'm giving this 1 start strictly because I had to in order to post this review. When we called we were told it would be "an hour and a half to 2 hours for delivery" due to the holiday. We completely understood. It took us 3.5 hours to receive our food!! When we called to check on our order we were told "half hour". It arrived an hour later. THEN he had the nerve to say "no tip?" Sadly, we have ordered from Great Wall numerous times but never again. The wait was one thing but to hear him say "no tip?" was the deal breaker. read more
