She apologized and tried to contact Shayna several times. When Shayna showed up, Jenna left and then Shayna asked me if Jenna was rude to me while I waited... I said no and she replied "oh, well she can be rude." I felt awkward. They both talked bad about each other when one was out of the studio. It was so unprofessional. My hair cut was nothing to rave about... I left knowing I'd never step foot in there again. These two need to learn professionalism.

So, when I received my appointment confirmation 6 weeks later, the touch-up appointment went from $60 to $110! Almost DOUBLED in price! So, just be careful of what you are being charged with Claudia. Her prices can double from one appointment to the next. I was very disappointed. She should have honored what she quoted and kept her word. I understand inflation, but this is ridiculous. I won't be returning, and I will be warning everyone about these poor business practices.

But rest assured, you have a family-owned business with expert skills that have been perfected over decades. Nick and Ne are warm people who are reliable and will remember you. It's old school in the sense of consistency, cleanliness, professionalism and fairly priced. Let me put it this way; if they ever revamped the appearance, got a social media ambassador- they could charge 150-200% of what they do now. It is worth it, they are wonderful, and I always feel stoked about my money going into the pocket of good family people.

She keeps up with all the hair color trends. If you want to experiment with fun colors like I do, she'll work with you to ensure the result is what you want. She's also really great with cuts. However, it just wasn't. She was nice enough, but the talk of her experience made me feel like there was more talk than walk. She also told me stories of people who didn't like her approach and/or cutting technique in the past. Why disclose that information? Why talk about negative experiences from prior clients. Then there was the cutting...it was over in about 20 minutes. Anyone who's had a real Deva Cut knows it takes much longer than that to employ the technique correctly. Although she cut my hair dry, she said she would pull apart and cut every curl separately, that didn't happen. She even cut several sections of my hair straight across with no attention to how the curls fell. Who cuts curls straight across?? At the end of the appointment, she said, "I can tell you're uncomfortable, so just call me and come back to fix any issues. Do Not Attempt to fix it yourself." Sorry, but no...I won't go back. At 6 weeks post appointment I was left with a messy grow-out of inconsistent curls. Boo. Don't go. There's got to be a better stylist out there for your curls.

I upgrade each time to the light therapy facial which is an hr & half for $20 more & you can add extraction for $5. Most of the time is spent just under the light. At one point, during the 1st facial, I thought maybe she forgot about me. I like that she offers the paraffin treatment for your hands and can turn the bed massager on if you want it. The massager just vibrated & when she went to put my hands back under the blanket, after the paraffin removal, it was thrown not gently placed. The heat pads on my tummy & around my neck were nice touches. She has a lot of knowledge about products which is nice but when I get facials I'm one of those people who like complete silence. I mentioned that I'd let her do her stuff & just fall asleep a couple of times & she did eventually get it. I get weekly facials & massages so I compare the experiences to different salons/spas. My 3 star rating just means the treatment was good but not exceptional & needs improvement. Most facials do offer paraffin for hands, extraction, aromatherapy, massage for face, neck & shoulders (some even offer massage for feet) while the mask is setting. So esthetician never leaves the room. Average cost is $50-$60. Her treatments (chemical peels, microdermabrasion, light therapy etc) are priced high but she does offer pre-paid packages that make them less.

I got almond shaped nails with candy corns on the ring fingers. She took her time and perfected them. She's nice to talk to as well. Karlene gave me a great facial. After the facial, my skin felt so light weight and soft. I had a couple people comment on how nice it looked! She also does optional extractions for your facial, which I of course wanted. I was so glad to get all those pesky blackheads out! My skin had never felt so good before. You also can't beat the prices here! Everyone is always nice and welcoming.
