After a quick yelp search I discovered that Erebus had only five star reviews! Naturally I pick this place to go and started to figure out what room we wanted to do. We ended up picking the eye of Horus, which we found out was the second hardest after we completed the room. We were not allowed to take our cameras into the escape room so I was unable to get any photos. I don't know what this building was before the escape room but it clearly was not something built just for this business. I really liked how it took advantage of an older building and utilized it in a new way. Our guide through this adventure was Jena. She gave us mint hints to try and help us along in the puzzle. We did end up using all three clues and we were able to solve the puzzle! Two quick things to note though. Our escape room was 4:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday and it was pretty brisk in the room when we arrived. However when we left we definitely could feel that the hallways were warmer. Also our escape room did require a flight of stairs to be climbed. So if you have any mobility issues you may want to double check if the room that you were about to book does have stairs.

Next, we tried to call to inform them we were having troubles finding the entrance causing to be a few minutes late however they did not pick up (we were the first session of the day). While in the escape room, I will say it was incredibly toasty and I wish there were a couple more vents in the rooms themselves to provide some ventilation. Finally, without exposing the escape room, I felt all the puzzles were linear and so without the continued clues it would have been impossible to complete the room in the time limit given. I feel that if they wanted to do this room without any clues it would need to be a 2-3 hour room although the puzzles were well designed. Finally, there was no like end picture of us breaking out which would be a nice addition to the experience.

Family of Four with not a lot of time, we did a 30 minute Escape room. My recommendation is do the full hour. Great time had by all- we solved the puzzles and were able to escape under the time allotted . Gave 4 stars because never did one to compare to. We all had fun and if in the Frankenmuth area we would stop in again. Here's a tip: if you have kids Under 10 they are free or at least they were the day we went. Also no cameras or photography allowed in room so pictures were from lobby.

Also, the instructors previously were way more proactive with directions. That being said, I thought the concept was clever and there were some creative clues leveraged. Check in was easy enough and the instructor kindly offered to walk us through what we missed. I'll also add - it's in a mega complex with an arcade and laser tag. We ended up a few people short and they were great about comping us the extra value. Arcade games are standard fae but seemed to be well maintained. Prizes for the arcade are pretty much exactly what you'd see at a Dave & Buster's. Ultimately we had fun, but not sure I'd rush back

We have done escape rooms before, and while the pod rooms may be smaller than other's the clues and storylines are quite thought out and take a bit of brain power and time!
