Stylists are all friendly, but it's a busy location so haircuts always feel rushed. Tina is great and takes the time to do a good job.

This place is all right. I prefer to get my hair cut by Tiffany here, but there are some other good stylists too.

So I thought the place will be open until 9 PM, on a weekday like they're advertising says, I get there and the storage closes at 6 PM. I guess people who just get off work are not allowed to get haircuts anymore. One would think that all the crying that hairstylists did during the lockdown, they wouldnt be closing their business so early in the evening. Been going here since 2007. It's going to be my last visit here today. Worst haircut of my life last two times. My 'hairstylist' today was someone Brenda Torres. Last name Torres for sure. It was 2 pm and not even crowded to think she may have done it to get moving faster. I have attached a pic so you would realize what messy job she did with the sides. My haircut was complete in less than 4 minutes. All she asked me was if I wanted to buy those conditioners and gels they display. I know it is great clips and can't expect anything good - but can you at the least cut the hair like an average grade barber? Can't wait to have my hair back and go to a better barber. I have been to several Great Clips in the North Dallas area over the last 5 years and my experience is that they have always take "Great Clips" coupons that are not expired. Today, I had the opposite experience with the owner himself rejecting a "Great Clips" coupon that was printed on my Albertson's grocery receipt. The attitude of the owner was definitely not what you would expect from an owner of a business that wants repeat customers. This Great Clips was not busy at the time I went in at 1:30 PM on a Friday nor was there anyone waiting when I left. In summary, I believe that the owner of this location might want to give some thought to how he treats customers if he wants to increase his client base as people tell their friends of experiences and I would NOT recommend Great Clips because of my recent experience. I wish there was an ability to give 0 stars because this experience was ridiculous. I never rate things on here, but this experience was so bad I have to rate this 0 stars. My mom got a haircut here and asked for a straight across cut. Well, the guy messed up and made it terrible with random shorter and longer chunks. My mother and I asked him to fix it. He refused and started calling us stupid and kept telling us to get away, and that we didn't know anything. Thank goodness one lady stepped in and fixed his mistake. I went into great clips and Coit Rd and Campbell because I had my hand in a cast and could not blow dry my hair. After waiting about 20 minutes because I did not know about online check-in a lady came up to me and said what do you need I said my hair washed and blown dry , and she informed me that she does not do blow dries on long hair very well and turn to someone else and said she'll be able to do it for you. That girl proceeded to give me the biggest disgusted face and I roll I've ever seen. She obviously didn't want to do my hair either. read more

Went into get my haircut and was greeted by a Hispanic lady talking on her phone and made me fill out all my information on the tablet while she was carrying on her conversation. Then she made me wait till she was done to cut my hair. Her phone rang while she was cutting my hair and she proceeded to take the call during the cut. Very rude and unprofessional. read more

I've been going here since 1997, yes, that's 14 years. Why do I keep going here? Because I'm a creature of habit and don't like change. I know what to expect and my expectations are almost always met, sometimes exceeded. When I was unemployed and volunteering full time, the stylists wouldn't accept a tip from me, that's probably a pretty good reason too. At regular price, the haircut is a little pricey. But I almost never pay full price. Previously, they had a $50 gift card that you could get a free haircut, so it was, 4 haircuts for the price of 3. Not too shaggy, I mean shabby. They stopped doing that and went to the $9.99 unlimited haircut gift card. Buy as many haircuts as you want for $9.99 but they had to be purchased before a certain day. I bought 10. Recently, they had a card that gave you two free haircuts in April, deeply discounted in May, somewhat discounted in June, so on so forth. Not too bad, plus you can get coupons in the Money Mailer for $6.99. I've seen many a hair stylist come and go and I'd say the experience and talent of the stylists has remained the same. Some are better than others, but I'm not too choosy. I'd rather get in and out quickly, than wait for a particular scissor. My hair has never been messed up, but it has been cut shorter than I wanted. A couple things I've learned here. Cowlicks can only be mitigated, not eliminated. Hair paste is much better than gel (at least for my thick unmanageable hair). If you come into the shop with a hat and are all sweaty, you get a free rinse! read more

I have blunt cut bangs that needed a basic trim. The lady who cut my hair named Bunny gave me the worst hair cut of my life. She had NOOO idea what she was doing. she tried to layer it? when i really did not ask for that then there are just huge chunks out of my now super short and uneven bangs. She tried to send me on my way when one side of my bangs was a whole 21/2 inches longer than the other side. I politely asked her to even them out. Man did I make the wrong move by asking her to touch my hair again because yes she cut the long side short. really really short. . I asked her to leave my bangs touching my eyebrows and they are now half way to up my forehead and too short to even clip back to hide this horrid job. If a little asian lady named Bunny tries to cut your hair. RUN OUT THE DOOR. She is awful.Now I have to live with this horrible excuse of a hair cut. seriously didn't even know it was possible to mess it up this bad. I wish i could post a picture. I've been a customer here for the last 13 years, but not any more. The online checkin app is a complete joke. It will tell you there is a 1 minute wait, then you will show up and wait for 20 AFTER you checked in online. I would say my last three hair cuts have been bad, and have gotten worse each time. Today, I had an Asian lady (not that it matters... many of the good stylists I have had over the years are of Asian origin)... but this one could not speak English well enough to do her job... I would ask her a question like "are you making it straight in the back" and she would answer with "thank you"... um... what? Hair cut was terrible, but I couldn't explain well enough what I needed done. Walked out frustrated and I think it showed... one of the regular stylists stopped me to ask if everything was ok... I just asked if I could have a brush to brush my hair (which was still dripping wet), paid (no tip) and walked out. Won't be back. You shouldn't be back either. read more

Unfortunately this place is getting very greedy. Not only have they increased their prices, but they're now getting rid of both the UTD discount and the $9.99 haircut cards. They say they're more of an "upscale" salon, so that's why it's more, but as you'll see from other reviews the service is on par with salons like the ones you'll find at Walmart. read more

I've been traumatized since the fateful Thursday 5/9/19 when I decided to get a much-needed haircut. Got an uneven chop job instead. These stylers are for men haircuts, not women. I cried all night, and finally got enough courage on Friday to try to even out the hair on the sides. The back was a lost-cause stacked looking affair she must have used graduated bowls to achieve the bob. I blame myself for this hatchet job. What was I thinking? The Ogle Beauty School has supervisors at least to make sure a customer isn't butchered with a blunt cut on one side, feathered on the other.
