An awful experience. Paid $500 for a cut and color!? And it took SEVEN HOURS!!When I walked in the owner and my hair dresser Jose both told me it was going to be $85 an hour. Knowing my hair never takes more than 3-4 hours (I don't go often about once a year/year and a half) I figured the price was about right. Jose was a great hairdresser but obviously fresh out of cosmo school. It took TWO HOURS to cut my hair. However, I'm laid back and figured there's NO WAY the owner would charge me $170 for a CUT! But- oh, she did! It took from 2pm to 9pm to give me a partial balayage and a cut! At one point both Jennifer and Jose were doing my balayage because he wasn't sure what he was doing and was taking such an excruciatingly painful amount of time to do it. Again, I'm all about helping the new cosmo kids out but you're going to charge me $500 for a beginner stylist??? You must be out of your MIND!!! They even stained ALL of my forehead with toner and didn't wash it off. What a joke! A mutual friend in LA does high clientele hair and charges no more than $400, and I guarantee those clients aren't sitting in a chair for 7 miserable hours. (And they have wine!) This salon is classy, super clean & the stylist are very knowledgeable and talented. I went in to see Jennifer after being on the fence for a while mostly because I was comfortable with the stylist I was seeing but now I wish I had seen her sooner!! She did an amazing job on my hair and gave me the ashy color I've wanted for so long. I also got a trim to get rid of dead ends. I would note that if you're going in for some serious color be prepared to be there for a while - I was there for 7 hours and got a bit antsy by the end. The price was significantly higher than what I am accustomed to paying but the end result was absolutely commensurate with the cost. Jennifer also worked on another client that day and I got to see her in action. It's obvious she loves her craft and has definitely mastered it. I would recommend Jennifer to my family and friends. I recently went to get my hair colored and cut with Jennifer. I was not satisfied. I feel as I was taken advantage and could of been informed as she's refilling toner, color etc. that my bill was increasing drastically and I didn't know. I was at the salón from 8am to 4ish pm. I ended up paying $600 plus the oil and spray I bought from her. My bill was a Total If $700ish dollars!!! That's is a ridiculous amount of money for some of us. She originally quoted me. ( and I quote ) "Full Highlight and color $255 Toner $75 & Hair Cut $75 We don't charge by the length or thickness we charge by the amount of ounces we have to use. So for example if we pass two ounces of color it will be an additional $25. This hardly happens but it can so I do have to let every client know." - Jennifer Not to mentioned the $50 deposit for booking. How bizzar! I went to Jennifer Nicole Salon with permanent jet black and blue black salon professional hair dye to try to get my hair lighter. I was very realistic with my goals. Jennifer booked me for an all day appointment, I had concerns about overprocessing and Damage due to chemicals constantly being placed on my hair for hours. She assured me that she would never do anything to destroy the integrity and health of my hair For that reason she charges top dollar because she uses apparently she claims the best products and takes breaks and use a deep conditioners and treatments. Even OlaPlex cannot save you from the damage that Jennifer will do to your hair. She failed as a professional to do a strand test for my hair, she failed to book me multiple sessions to try to break up the darkness of my hair slowly. She failed to put foils in my hair when she put the bleach she just poured bleach on my hair in the sink. She used a very high developer with the bleach probably a 40 volume developer and bleachedmy hair twice each time for about an hour I believe. She basically over process and destroyed my hair my hair. She color banded my hair Meaning every section was a different color she would've realized that prior had she done a strand test and properly addressed the problem. However she kept lying and accusing me of using box dye and henna. She could've done highlights with a low volume developer. Her attitude her rude tone and her false claims are highly disturbing. She is supposed to be a licensed professional who went to hair school the fact that she did not even do a strand test or use foils or even start with a low volume developer or even book me into multiple sessions over months speaks highly of her. What is the point of going lighter with your hair if it's damaged and over process and you can't even run your fingers through it. Every salon I went to was in shock at how aggressive And unprofessional her techniques were. People are trusting you with their hair and you are pouring chemicals on left and right to upcharge and destroy there hair what the heck is wrong with you. If you can't provide a proper healthy hair service you shouldn't be. when I went home three days later I washed it my hair was stuck to my head I could not put my fingers or a brush after washing my hair I could not even run my fingers through it. I consulted with several salons master stylist and realize that she over processed and damaged my hair I had to cut off 6 inches and of my hair and I still need to cut more. She has no morals and I lost any respect I had for her because I would've appreciated if she did not take on the service however she was money hungry and charged me over $600 only to destroy my hair. She should not take on a service if she cannot deliver. She also uses a ring light and Photoshop and Filters before she post her pictures on social media. My hair turned out red also ever section was a different shade of red she kept lying and saying that it was brown and reds are brown and she took a picture of my hair using a ring light and her phone and showed me the picture and it was nothing like my hair so I'm sure she either showed me someone else's here or she photo shopped it but it had to be someone else's hair I was just so angry that I couldn't even look at the picture because I knew she was lying. She is a Thief, she is unprofessional and she is not an honest person for that reason Jennifer you will never be successful. If you think it's OK to destroy people's hair for a few hundred extra dollars you absolutely have no heart because it takes people years and years to grow out their hair and you come in a few hours and destroy it for them. I understand having permanent Jet Black hair is difficult to work with however she should've been honest and upfront and not took me on as a client if she was not going to provide the service the right way. She claimed that I was being picky any woman who cares about her hair which is predominantly every woman on this planet and especially when she's paying top dollar cares about her hair so if you can't do the service do not lie and offer to just to rip them off their money and destroy their hair. FYI she is very good at masking the hair with products before you leave her salon to look like it's healthy and shiny m however once you wash it at home you will realize the damage of not being able to run a brush through your hair. I wish I never walked in her salon... she is aggressive and defensive when questioned Because she is not an honest person ... even High salons in NYC and Beverly Hills don't charge $600-$700 on top of that she is damaging your hair. Cut and color both looked TERRIBLE. Paid almost $800 just for one color and a cut. Color is uneven, my hair is so DAMAGED that i had to go to a different salon and cut 5 inches off. JENNIFER RUINED my HAIR she left the bleach on previously bleached hair and my roots (virgin hair) for the same time. Obviously roots are going to lighten up faster. I had an appointment on November 14. She called me and said the girl who was going to do my hair quit that day. So I rescheduled on November 21 and during my consultation she told another client the same thing that the same girl quit just today. Don't be DISHONEST to people who come to you for a service. JENNIFER kept being RUDE to me every time I had a question. She overcharged me for the product she put in my hair. Owner told Me to come back and she would fix it ... when I came back a couple days later after which I had to take a day off work she put me in her assistants chair and had her assistant fix it. By the way after they tried to correct my hair it looked exactly the same as it did when I walked in the first time - they just tried to dye it back brown .....i messaged the owner again to let her know I think I need to be refunded for the price difference as a paid for the senior stylist and what I got was an assistant who has barely been working there a month- after Jennifer tried to justify why I shouldn't be refunded anything as they didn't charge me any extra to fix my hair she finally offered me 20% refund - we had some discrepancies of when I would come in so I decided not to go out of my way again - don't go here read more

I originally made an appointment for 4:00. The lady that made the appointment called me back and apologized and said 4:00 wasn't available but they could do 3:00. I told her that I had another appointment but could be there at 3:15. She said that would be fine. I arrived for my appointment exactly at 3:15 and was told that I was late and they had someone else in the chair and that I would have to wait. The prices are very steep so be prepared to pay $50-80 for a snippet of hair to be cut and over $200 for color and when color has to be remixed there is a charge.
