This is by far the worst Great Clips I have ever visited, and that's across multiple cities in two different states. From the moment you walk in, the salty attitude lingers in the air--it's impossible not to notice. When my son was called up for his haircut, we asked for a taper, but the staff just stood there looking confused. They didn't know the difference between a taper and a fade, so we were forced to settle for something we didn't even want. Brittnie was the only bright spot--she was friendly, personable, and professional. Alyssa, on the other hand, acted like she hated her job and didn't want to be bothered by customers. And as for Trisha, her behavior was shocking. She carried the most passive-aggressive, unprofessional, and downright disgusting attitude I have ever encountered from someone in this industry. Whether we had unknowingly upset her or she was dealing with her own personal issues, the way she treated us was appalling. The eye rolls, the huffing and puffing, the slamming of her comb--it was constant from beginning to end. She even complained that a simple children's comb-over was a "very hard, specialized cut." On top of that, she wasn't even prepared with the proper tools, admitting she couldn't do a zero cut because she didn't have the right attachment. Alyssa's actual cut was "decent," but my son left the chair hairier than our dog before shedding season. She didn't bother brushing him off or blowing him off, and instead sent him out the door looking like he had rolled around on the barbershop floor. When I politely asked her to blow him off, she was unfriendly about it too. What is going on at this location? Management seriously needs to investigate. 11.30.23: I was in dire need of a trim before my trip next week. When I went to the website, they had the ability to see the wait time and you can join the wait-list and check in when your time is almost near. I arrived 20 minutes before my time and once I was checked in inside my wait time was less than 10 minutes. Because they don't take appointments, this is the system they utilize. I asked for a trim and we discussed how many inches would be good to get rid of the dead ends. Ultimately, I decided to go with 5 inches. I didn't get the lady's name who trimmed my hair, but she was nice and got the job done and that's what counts. She even gave me a tip on how to tell how much inches I need to cut and that was helpful. Overall, I'm happy with my visit and over the years I can only remember one time I wasn't satisfied with a cut. First things first. Last minute decision to get a hair cut. Look up great clips on line and they list all of their salons and the current wait time to the right. You pick which salon you want, check in with name and phone number. Opt in to get wait time up dates and then the automated system with give you a 15 min heads up. I didn't get that text. Also, I headed to this one and checked in personally. They told me I still had 30+minutes. It's really busy here. I guess a lot of people get hair cuts on Sunday lol. As I waited, a few walked in and had no appointment. They told them 15 minutes...less wait time to walk in than checking in on line...but I still moved up the list, so not sure how that was estimated lol. After about 15 to 20 minutes wait, Tyler called me back to have my haircut. He was actually quite good. Didn't converse much at first, but after a while start talking. He's been cutting hair almost 4 years. Definitely has a good stylist technique. I went with a military style high and tight with a high fade. He did it perfectly. I was just going to Let this go. But I called in GC would not take an appointment on the phone. Only on line. I've tried walking in. Even if no one is there they say someone is coming in. Looking online this is a common problem. So I'll have my wife cut my hair save me a ten dollar tip and the price of a haircut. Easily distracted by conversations of co-workers, the people in the parking lot, showing off her extra-large mirror to anyone interested, etc. So much so, that she left her station 5 different times just during my cut. Despite asking her to at least check the top length for evenness prior, she didn't. I had to ask her to remove the weight line she created on the side of my head. I had to ask to check my eyebrows. Everything was dismissive and the furthest thing away from customer-focused service. I Arrived at 8:48 and checked in. The wait was 116 minutes. I was number 21 to get a cut. But, there were only two of us in the store at the time. The stylists took their good old time talking to each other more than cutting hair. They finished everyone that was there in the store and the two of us were next. Instead of taking us in the store, they decided to chit chat and wait for others to come in. So, they made the two of us wait. Then others came in and instead of taking us two, they took others. I literally had just rolled into town, found the nearest open shop I could find and let fate takes its course. Checked in person for a haircut for my son. Upon arrival I was told to wait in the lobby for faster service. I waited for 30 mins until we were serviced. The stylist that serves us was not pleasant and kept making remarks about cutting my sons hair. I understand my son is little and not everyone knows how to cut babies hair because they tend to move and be uncomfortable in a new setting however I would appreciate if that was communicated up front instead of continuously stopping looking around asking others if they wanted to try and making us feel like dog crap ! read more

I was long overdue for a haircut due to the closing of barbers and hair salons in California. I was in the area and decided to try Great Clips. What was convenient was the ability to check their wait time and 'check in' on their website. That in itself is a major plus! When I checked in, it was a 17 minute wait. I arrived in 15 minutes and went to the counter. They confirmed who I was and I could see my name on the screen. I was also appreciative of all of the COVID19 precautions (mask required, hand sanitizer when you go in for your cut, the stylist washing their hands between cuts, asking people to wait outside). Understaffed. I did the online check-in with a 94minute estimate & when I got there I still had a huge wait. I sat in the lobby for an hour for a 4min cleanup. I almost squeezed in but they were taking their sweet ass time between customers & talking to each other about hair product they sell-- couldn't think of the name of it so they in the back to check (all while there's 6-7folks in lobby). There was 4 stylists when I got there and they go on break 2.5hrs into opening so there's only 2 stylists. An older gentlemen came in irritated about the wait, apparently they told him to come back in 20 minutes two times already & the lady told him again 20more minutes, in my heart I knew he was gonna be waiting at least an hour with where his name was on the list. I felt bad for the 3 stylists working with Cody (while they had 3)-. That dude doesn't shut up & he takes his sweet ass time. In my one hour waiting he cut 2 people and another stylist did 5. She was kicking ass cutting hair & doing the phone. I got stuck with fool cutting my hair -- wanted to tip all the stylists but him. Zero stars are more like it. I have been going to this salon for a couple of years. The service has greatly declined. They may be short of stylists but the staff doesn't have any consideration for the customer. I was told when I called that there was an hour and a half wait. So I ran other errands. Then when I returned after receiving a text that I should check in within 15 minutes, I quickly returned to the salon, only to be told it would be another 2 hours! Ridiculous! The staff is not welcoming to the customers but many still go there in spite of being mistreated. The online check-in is a joke as you can not depend on the timing....you will have to wait an inordinate amount of time. I won't wait more than an hour, let alone 4 hours to see a stylist. I recommend going elsewhere for your haircut. You can do much better! read more

Makayla is a troll. Took my kids to get their hair cut. My son turns 7 tomorrow so we were getting him a birthday cut and he was excited. Makayla was in a horrible mood and apparently my son was the target of her bullying. I noticed how she was speaking to him and said if she didn't want to cut his hair, we could have someone else do it. She said she'd do it but honestly, at that point I didn't trust her with scissors and my child. Makayla, we came in a great mood to pay for a service at an establishment that you're employed. You immediately made my boy feel bad and sad about asking for lightning bolts & asking about a booster seat. If you don't want a parent to have "tone" do not speak rudely to or bully a child because I'm sure I'm not the first and I won't be the last to stand up to you especially when it involves children. If I could give zero stars I would. The first woman who was cutting my hair was chopping chucks out of the sides. I told her I just wanted a cute shape and showed her a picture of my idea. It was a simple cut but she kept cutting my hair shorter and shorter. When I said something or asked a question she was super defensive. She ruined my hair. I have two years of growth after chemo and I explained that I was super anxious about getting my hair cut and really just wanted to cut the super curly ends off. The stylist said I should layer it and keep the length. she started cutting into my hair and one side looks like a two year old got a hold of the scissor. Well they seem to have a lot of changes in personnel going on right now so I was bummed when I could not get Jen. So after checking in on line (which you should all do because it sure saves time). I had to take potluck. Sure got lucky. Tori did my hair. I asked her to tear up what Jen had done because I only wanted a trim. I have sort hair so did not want to have it cut as short as usual. So I waited to get a haircut till the last minute and had to go somewhere new because of it. I ended up at Great Clips. It was busy. I was still seated with a very minimal wait as there were about 8 people working. The place was clean. There was the usual small talk and the person that cut my hair was not the manager but had been there at least 8 years. My haircut is simple. Just clippers and clean up the neckline. I was out of there in approximately 10 minutes. The price was ok. There are several "online coupons" that all seem to just want you to fall for some scam in Great Clips and Facebook's name. The only nice touch that was missing was an offer of a rinse after my cut as I was on my Motorcycle and brought my helmet in with me. read more

Super fast and I love that they have a computer system that they track how I want my hair done. Personally not a fan of chains, but there are some real shining stars here. Sara and Erica are both phenomenal. They are hilarious and friendly. Not to mention they are both exceptional at their craft. I love the online checkin feature too. I hate making appointments for haircuts and the online checkin feature lets me get in line as I drive there. No waiting like other walking and I don't have to remember my appointment.
