salon was very clean costomer survive was great. I loved my haircut. they did exactly what I asked for

Very specifically asked for 1.5-2" off my long hair. Just to clean up the ends. Also long layers (repeated long many times and showed a picture of me with the layers). My hair was butchered. I can't even explain how horrible it looked. So bad that the woman cutting my hair called another woman (Riley) over to try to fix it. It took Riley a good 45 minutes and 6-7 inches off my hair to make my hair look somewhat reasonable. The woman who butchered my hair never said a word to me, although Riley was kind enough to apologize for her. I walked out with a bob above my shoulders. read more

I would put 0 stars if I could. The store doesn't close until 9pm and upon arrival the two people in the store decided they were no longer taking clients. Instead of finishing out their full shift on 9/23/2026, one decided to gat in her car to leave and the other decided to go sit at the nearby bus stop to wait for a ride I'm assuming home. I'm not to sure who is in charge of this location but maybe a conversation/staff meeting is needed regarding fulfilling basic hourly requirements of the companies business hours. read more

My husband just got back from getting a haircut done by Riley C. It looks like he hasn't even gotten his haircut at all. Looks like he received a a trim not a full cut. Nothing is edged up no clear lines he's having to redo the whole haircut himself after paying $22 for nothing. I would say this is 100% great clips fault however looks like you guys have two stars. Can't say the problems all on you. I'd have to say my husband should've checked your stars before going. At least get one person that carries the knowledge to cut hair properly. I'm not sure how much longer you guys will stay open when not one person knows how to cut hair. read more

Genuinely the worst cut of my life and unhelpful staff to boot. do not come here if you value your confidence.

I used the app to sign in online. When it came my turn, they said I used a different phone number than I had before so I got bumped and two people went in front of me. So I did everything right and got shafted for it. Their overall service is horrible. read more

Staff here are getting very rude. I have been coming here for 13 years and I I have never been greeted with an attitude. I also asked the stylist if she could cut mine and my daughter's hair instead of having 2 people and she said with an attitude "No! On a and one!" There is only 2 stylist here at the moment. Before today another hair stylist got really upset because I requested a hairstylist that I feel comfortable for my son since a different time then angry lady cut my son's hair and did a terrible job. Even Norma agreed when she cut my son's hair. I hope management do something about the staff with their attitudes. read more

I went to Great Clips in Meyerland for my usual haircut. I was seated quickly. The female barber - I take whomever is available - was friendly. I stated my hair styling preferences - a size 6 or longer trim on the sides and top, and rounded corners on the back. She informed me that her records indicated a size 2 trim. That sounded very short and, I asked for a longer cut. But the barber said the size 2 trim was on her record slip, and she proceeded to cut my hair despite my objections. When she was finished and asked how I liked the haircut, I said it was too short, and I preferred the trim to be a 6 or an 8. The barber said that was too long and recommended starting with size 5 trim. She said she would delete the size 2 trim from the record. That size 2 trim was given to me once before during the summer, which seemed OK then. But autumn was starting, and I wanted a longer cut. My travel time to that Great Clips is longer since I moved in May. I go there in part because of the senior discount which continues to increase over time, though is better than other chains.. If the barber gives me the same short cut next time, that will be my last visit there. read more

Cut hair extremely uneven didn't notice it till we got back home. When we went back she tried to fix clearly just does not know what she's doing. The job just to try to turn and burn. Didn't even blow dry the hair out . read more

Not worth it for women's hairstyles I went here for a blow out bc I thought it would be cheaper. They don't use hot tools-just blow dryer. It ended up being more expensive than if I would have gone to Dry Bar or another professional Place ($60) even though they said the cost would be $25 read more

they messed up very bad with my hair to the point that we had to come back and get it fixed. We will never go again

The service here has decreased tremendously in the last 2 years. My family and I have been coming here for 13 years. Norma was great, but she left. Now my wife and kids prefer Veronica. But the person in charge gave an attitude and said we could not all have Veronica cut our hair. When the others cut our hair, she ruins it. They get angry and mistreat us. Therefore, we will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I've never had an issue until today. The guy that usually cuts my sons hair always does a good job. however today he was with a customer. The lady that assisted us was really nice and friendly, however when the guy cuts his hair he does a 0, its visible and nice, so I asked for the 0, omg she over did it and I think she kept going on the sides which I didnt notice because my son left straight to the car and cried, it looks horrible, I know it grows back but it will take time and it's for a trip this week. I so regret not waiting or asking for the guy, I thought it would be rude to ask for someone else since she was nice. Even the guy told her that's too much and she ignored him and kept going, she should really take his advice. Not sure if it's the same lady other reviews complain about but it sounds like they had the same issue. Not worth the $19 read more

I called & asked if they helped cut hair to donate for WigsForKids early in the morning & was told they do and that they even have the packaging for it. I can see why there is low ratings. read more

Please don't go here!!! Instead of using the small clippers she used the big ones to line my edges and back of the neck. She cut me and I'm bleeding back there! You know how they're supposed to curve the hair on your temple? She made this and obtuse angle! She didn't even fade my sides either, it goes from long to short like no transition! I asked for a 2 and she gave me a 1 on the sides. read more

Great Clips - She lined me up like we're in geometry class and didn't even fade my sides - Hair Salons Near Me - Houston, Texas

The only decent stylist is Christina. Parnia is pretty bad. I feel sorry for my son. She took way too much off around the ear (so high) and it's very crooked. Same with his neck line. It's pretty sad when you can't get a boys' cut right. They need continuing education on hair cutting. Riley, the "manager", is very rude. She needs a managerial course on speaking to customers. We will never ever be back. read more

Sometimes you just need a simple haircut. My default hair cutting chain has been TGF, because most of the times you know what you're going to get. Nothing too fancy, but they won't totally screw up your hair. Well unfortunately, the TGF near my house sucks! So I had to search for another simple hair salon. Good ole Yelp showed me that there was this Great Clips not far from my house. I called and they were open until 5 pm on a Sunday. I wish they were open a little later, but this will do. We came at about 4 pm and they had about 8 total booths and 5 of them being filled with a stylist. Which was a pleasant surprise because even though the waiting room was full, we were able to get into a chair fairly quickly. They keep notes in the system so that when you come back the next time you can have the same stylist and similar hair cut. It's $14 for a basic cut which is comparable to most basic salons. read more

One of the worst haircuts ever. No idea who she was, a new lady. First checked in the person ahead of me as me, then when she cut my hair took entirely too much off. Not 1/2 inch and then cut it uneven as well. One of the worst ever, saddened by how much hair she removed. Luckily it grows back. Will not let her touch my head again. read more

God awful haircut!! Been going to Great Clips for about 7 years. The instructions in their system are for a half inch off the top. Nothing earth shaking here. So today I get a a 1/16th of an inch off only the left side, right side untouched. I ask for more off, she cuts another 1/16th inch off just the left side. I ask why aren't you cutting the right side. She says I did! Um I'm watching you in this big ass mirror, no you didn't! Had to get up and leave, no way I could let this lunatic near my dome again. I've been here four times and been disappointed every single time. The customer service is non-existent. You're not greeted like a human being when you walk in but instead are asked if you checked in online with an attitude as if you're disturbing them for coming to get a haircut. They're not child friendly at all. The barber looked frustrated as soon as my child sat down to get a hair cut. She didn't even attempt to interact with him, just jumped in to cut the hair and threw her hands up in frustration when he wiggled. She also cut my son behind his ear. She did not even bother to properly clean the hair off his neck and face. Terrible overall experience. Don't waste your time and money here. I will never return even if the hair cut is free. read more

Wish I could give this review 0 stars. All of the people who work seem to always be in a bad mood. Went in for a trim. I asked the lady I wasn't sure how much I wanted to trim & if it was ok to start at 2 inches & if I wanted it shorter to trim one more. (I asked if that was ok mind you). The lady said it was. Another hairdresser sat in a chair behind, (there were no customers except me & another person who was being tended to.) the other hair dresser kept staring at me with an attitude & disgust. When my hairdresser finished I asked for another inch off. The other hairdresser got up & told my hairdresser "You need to tell her what that looks like because thats another haircut & your time is precious to just be wasting it on one client." This made my hairdresser then cut my hair at a faster pace to quickly finish. The lady said this with an attitude & continued staring in annoyance. I've never been so uncomfortable or have heard of another inch off being another haircut. I would've paid regardless. Where is the owner/manager? Does she not see that these booth renters treat their customers horrible even when theres no people inside? Constantly hate having to give haircuts? When the lady rushed the second trim she made my hair uneven. I was fed up & uncomfortable I just paid and left. read more

Last time I was here I got a great haircut - so good I took a picture of it so when I returned I'd be able to show them exactly what I wanted, because I forgot the name of my stylist. Unfortunately the picture wasn't enough. I feel like the language barrier between me & my stylist, Veronica, made it difficult for her to ask for clarification, but since I wear glasses and (obviously) took them off for the haircut I didn't see what was wrong until it was too late. Way too late. Basically, figure out the good stylists and request them. I know it'll grow out etc etc, but I'm still pretty upset. read more

Came in for a simple haircut and beard trim. My directions are always very clear. Number 2 on sides and fingerlength up top .. Just enough to comb backwards. My hair dresser was difficult to communicate with because she was not very good at English. She was showing me the back and turning me loose. I had to tell her it was to long and that she had forgotten my beard. She makes the top a little shorter and then does my beard with the same number 2 large clippers used on my head. She uses no smaller or more precision clippers required. As a result my beard looks unkept and lazy. I'll have to redo it myself. She was clearly uncomfortable as if she had never done it. I'm not one to start trouble so I paid my bill. Tipped and left. I'm not sure she would even have understood my directions to fix it. Not sure what I paid for as I'm going to have to do it properly myself. This is the second Great Clips I've been to that did a rushed sloppy job on my beard. Maybe they should just stop offering them? The get it right about 60% of the time and it's 1/2 the price of a haircut. Gonna have to find somewhere else. read more

I was done with people that either don't speak English and/or only know one hairstyle for men. This place was good for me until my last 2 haircuts. Yesterday was terrible as I had let my hair grow out for a "Pompadour" style only to be mowed down by yet another hair stylist from their never ending turnaround. It will grow back and blah blah blah but what really pisses me off is having to pay $14 plus tip for a -5 dollar haircut- read more

I can't stand this place. Been here several times hoping to think it would get better but apart from a few good experiences, they've all been horrible. The latest experience (12/31/17) was unsurprisingly miserable. The woman who cut my hair interacted with me like a robot and refused to understand how to communicate. I asked her for her thoughts and she goes, "it's however you want it". I could go on but I don't really care to and will never be back at this miserable place again. read more

I can't comment much because I only use this place about once a year when I am visiting my old home town. Bottom line...plenty of stylists who can do plenty of options (I am a guy after all...how many "options" are there really???). I do make life difficult with the way my hair can be and I have not had any problems from this place (though I have had issues with other places). They also offer your typical haircare products and the staff is very friendly. There is a reason I always go back to them when I am home and I recommend them if you are in the area. read more

Nice place but I witnessed one of the workers be extremely rude to one of her customers and she said " he was wasting her time" could tell it made him uncomfortable. Didn't catch a. Yesterday afternoon 03/10/2020 i was happy to take my son to get his haircut...so we were next and my kid was happy to get his haircut..i notice this lady was maybe having a bad day...lady in her 40s or 50s (patty) (pati) (patri)she did not wanted to to give me her name started having an attitude like she did not wanted to be there cutting hair...so my kid sat on the chair and was talking to us my wife and me and was moving side to side I understand that he couldn't do that so i told him to stop and behave because it was time to cut his hair and he stopped then THE LADY started scolding my son in front of us!! Almost screaming at him in his ear that if he wouldnt stay still... she would stop and not cut his hair...so she began cutting his hair...and i was just looking and thinking to myself of getting him a size 1 so I STARTED talking to my WIFE asking her should we get a smaller size?...so this lady intervened and screamed at me! "Im doing it my way!! This is how I cut hair!"..I was like wow! Obviously she screaming at me got me Mad I told my child to get up and lets leave..so I started to scream at her telling her "you need to change that (bad word) Bad Attitude " " i have been coming 4 years to this supercuts! And you are the worst employer!""(bad word) Change the bad attitude"...i walked to her area to take a look at her license name and she slammed down her license... and i walk away....it was my first time in my life doing that...all because that lady had that bad attitude...never ever coming back!! i don't know who i had for a hair stylist this time, but i normally come here for a trim and i always get the same lady who is super sweet and nice. she always does my hair really well. this time however, i came in wanting to donate my hair and cutting it right below the shoulder. i didn't get either one. the lady cut off 8 inches of hair which left my hair below my shoulders. which isn't enough to donate. i wasn't mad i couldn't donate it, i just wanted her to keep the hair at the same length it was or trim off a little bit (maybe an inch at most) BUT SHE CUT OFF 3 INCHES MORE OF MY HAIR! leaving me with a dora hair cut, that is not only uneven but also unbelievably short. i have picture day at school in a week and i don't know what I'm supposed to do with this mess read more
