I had appointment for color, cut and style. I told the girl doing color to go dark on my roots as I have red tints in my hair. And I have been know to get orange toots. Oh yes she knew what she was doing. Then great cut and styled. Loved it under there lights. Took 4 hours! I have a lot of hair. I get home under normal lights and my daughter says you have orange roots. This is a disaster as I have to work and need to go out of town for my daughter's graduation. I call to talk to a manager with no call. I finally called and demanded someone had to fix this mess. I went up and spent another 4 hours the next day . They would color and then rinse and dry with still orange roots . The 3rd time I said why can't you get this to stick oh this is just a Tint. Well go dark brown this time I said. Great for haircut and color service, But, BEWARE if you have short hair and just want a color and have your hair dried after the shampoo. I was very discouraged and strongly disappointed that they charged me the same amount as if I was having a haircut and color with shampoo. The haircut comes with a drying service but they charged me FULL price of a haircut for just drying my hair. The manager was politely unhelpful and when I called their corporate office, the person answering the phone had a s pay standard non- response which tells me that other people had similar concerns. I have been to visible changes on several occasions. I spend several hundred dollars on color service and then have to pay an additional fee to have it blow dried and styled? I have never been to a salon with this kind of practice, ever. This is a mall salon. The stylists are very hard on pushing VS products. The front desk staff is borderline rude. I understand it is a busy salon however there are multiple attendants and the phones appear to be their priority, the client in front of you should be your priority. The caller can be placed on hold. This is not an inexpensive salon, and better service and policy's can be found elsewhere. read more

Edit: I went here to get my hair dyed. I was asked for a picture of the shade I wanted. I provided one. I didn't get the color I asked for. I then went to a barber & had it shaved off after I took my photo. The assistant manager called the next morning & offered to have it "adjusted" by another stylist. She then got permission from her superior to refund the price (so all I was out was my standard tip to the stylist) & I'd get the money back within 3 business days. At first I had issues with the organization and front desk of this place but decided to give them a try. Haven't got a professional cut in 7 years!! Yes I have trust issues and NEVER like the way it turned out. I told them I wanted someone young and fresh and fun (in the words of sister James) as in the past more experienced hair stylists, are usually stuck in their ways and tend to do what they think would look best for my hair instead of listening to what I want. I got paired with BECKY and I loved her so much not only did she do an amazing job at cutting my hair, she also made sure we were on the same page at EVERY STEP OF THE WAY! Before she worked on a "different step" she would verify with me before cutting! She also had me stand up and look at the back of my head to make sure again we were on the same page as fair as length and style ect. She also recommended products for me (that I was asking about) and was honest about different products. She cut off 7 inches! Worst hair cut ever........ she cut it was to short in the front and now it's gonna take months to regrow back. I specifically asked her to not make it short which she proceeds to basically chop all my hair off that i had spent months growing. I would normally go here for every haircut that I get and I never leave disappointed but I went yesterday and I thought I was going to get what I had in mind when I got there the service was good and the lady that was going to cut my hair said what I wanted I showed her a video and it was a scene hair she said that I had a lot of hair and that it wasn't good for me and since I have a lot of hair it's going to be puffy I didn't care about that because for scene hair you have to straighten it and no my hair doesn't get puffy it's naturally straight but kind of wavy but it doesn't get puffy, I think she didn't feel comfortable doing my hair, so she asked another lady to book me with another hairstylist, when I went to the other hairstylist, I showed her the same video and she asked me how does it look from the back, I tried looking for video and found one I showed her it and she told me that it was two different cuts when it wasn't, it was the same cut and then they put me with another hairstylist and they were all telling me the same thing that they were going to cut a big chunk of my hair for what I wanted? I was honestly frustrated I just wanted to get my haircut like the inspiration that I wanted, After we discussed everything, she made me choose between the first inspiration that I showed her and then the second one I went with the second one because scene hair is in a V shape and the first inspiration you could only see the front so I told the hairstylist that she could do the second one which was the one with the V shape she was cutting my hair and I told her the length that I wanted which was in between my chest area, it went way shorter than I expected it to be I didn't see no V shape and I didn't like what I had. Hair salon that is more a quick in-and out than a quality experience. Location relies on a lot of walk-ins, so keeping long term clients is not important. Initially I was a walk-in and wanted a master stylist, and he did great. I decided to keep coming to see him, and did so for over a year. The issues I faced are always the same. Disorganized front desk, crowded, and rush to get you in and out as fast as they can. Sometimes I would get my hair washed, other times I would not (as they were too busy to do it), but price was always the same. When I had to change appointments, or was late they were extremely rude, although I provided a generous tips (30%) to accommodate for their trouble. The lady asked me what I wanted I told her keep my hair long in the front she BUTCHERED my hair I can't even put it up in a pony tail before in a ponytail it reached the center of my back! Hi, I went last Saturday for highlites and Color and I came with two chunky high lites on one side and high lites on the other side, I want it to have coverage for my front gray and at the end I got brown root color at the front and on the back the highlites. Not what I asked Usually she does a good job is one of your old Color Specialist. But it took too many minutes to do the highlites to do do another customer that is how she lost track of what she was doing with me. They need need help on applying toners and other treatments or just don't take customers to close to each other. They are over booking. Not happy with my $195.00 work. I came in on 3/28 for a subtle ash blonde balayage on my dark brown hair. I got what looked like orange blonde chunky highlights. While at the salon I expressed that there was no blend to the colors of my hair. We then put a toner only on the pieces that were not blended. The toner basically put a orange-ish brown middle line between my natural hair color and the blonde. So now I have three distinct color lines of my hair. It was almost closing time yesterday so I go back today 3/29. I explain my hatred for some parts on the first dye job and they say we are going to add some more toner to soften up and blend the chunky blonde orange pieces. I said multiple times that I liked the color of the bottom half of my hair as it was the color I was aiming for. I wanted to keep the blonde in my hair just tone down the top portions, blending it more. $200+ later I have no blonde in my hair anymore and it's darker than what I went in with. Might as well have thrown my money in the garbage. I've never had a bad job at Visible Changes in the 7+ years I've been going. Super disappointed and can't say that I'll be getting my hair colored there any longer. read more

They told me to come and they will fix it and wouldn't waste my time. The manager was waiting and told me he needed to have a talk with me like if I was in trouble. The Manager is so rude and condescending. He yelled at me in front of everyone there. I'm a paying customer and I shouldn't be treated that way ever. The customer doesn't always have to be right but we all should be treated with respect. He was aggressive and way out of line. I paid $210 for color and cut plus I had treated my mom for a cut and perm and paid $144. I left great tips for all girls. Well, I will never go back again. They lost my business! read more

I have had my hair cut here 5 times and have always had a great experience. I have never felt judged by my no makeup, errands-to-run appearance. They run on appointments, so of course it is important to arrive a few minutes early. The front desk has always been friendly and efficient. I had my appointment today with Junior and I will be back to see him again. From the moment he introduced himself, I could tell I was in good hands. My shampoo was relaxing and his pressure was firm enough to really clean my scalp but not too harsh. I had brought a few pictures of what I was going for as I'm trying to put more time and effort into my hair. He really listened to what I said and gave his own professional suggestions. He gave me beautiful layers that hit just below my collarbone in the most flattering way. I left feeling pampered and like I got more than what I paid for. Went to visible changes in memorial city mall as a walk in. Got Marcus. Showed him a picture of what I wanted. He asked me what I liked about the picture and cut it exactly the same. Showed me how to style it and told me about the function of the products he used. I ended up not liking it but it was EXACTLY what I asked for. Went back today, two and a half months later and asked him to change it back to my original style and I LOVE IT and love him. He is kind, patient, and extremely talented. Let me start off by saying that this review is long overdue. My mother took me to visible changes when I was 13 to get a haircut and we went as a walk-in and ended up with Bridey. I am now almost 22 and to this day still see Bridey for my haircuts because she really knows what she is doing and has the best personality. She cuts my hair dry because I have curly hair to make sure that my hair stays true to the length that I want it to stay. She has saved my hair from my DIY phase where I truly thought I could do it myself, has salvaged the haircut my boyfriend gave me, and the mess ups from other salons. All of these were impatient attempts to get a hair cut right away when Bridey was not available to cut my hair because I waited last minute to schedule an appointment. That being said, I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend Bridey to anyone especially with curly/wavy hair. She is super consistent and gets to know you and your hair to see what style and cut would be best for you, but will still cut your hair to your liking. read more

This is based on 2 cuts here and the attempted 3rd. The first time was a trim and an updo was ok and it costs $80. Not so happy for the price. The second time was for a simple haircut. It was well done but it was for $80. Very expensive. I had a trim recently somewhere else and noticed a difference the right side was longer by 1 cm. Since I was in the Memorial City Mall, I was thinking of get that 1 cm trim. They have 3 levels. The lowest being the New Hairstylists who have 3-4 months experience on the floor for $35. Not sure what happened, but just paid $300 for highlights and a trim and walked out with wet hair because I didn't have time for them to style it because the appointment was running longer than it should have. At first I didn't like visible changes because of their prices, but one day I said to hell with it and tried their lowest tier hairdresser. They have like 4 tiers I think and each one is more expensive than the last. I do like their establishment because they are very professional and keep things clean. While you wait they have people who give shampoos to those waiting for their person to finish with their current client. When they do the shampoo they do a nice head massage and give you a hot towel. I had bounced around a few of their hairdressers and one day I got Lauren and I have requested her ever since. She is very sweet and friendly and doesn't talk your ear off unless that is what you prefer. But she is a good judgement as too what you prefer. I like her a lot because she remembers your cut each time and does it perfectly. Many times I have gone home to fix or clean up what others didn't do well or really finish the job, but Lauren is awesome and I never have to worry about it.
