Always best to check in online, my wait time was supposedly 90 mins. Had to visit the T-Mobile shop next door also, so after being in there for around an hour, I was able to walk straight in to great clips and get taken care of by Angel. In and out in about 20 mins. It's pretty disappointing when you've visited a place before and never had an issue, only to have such a completely different experience. From the moment I sat down, the stylist seemed uninterested, standoffish, and unwilling to listen. I even paused to make small talk, hoping to break the ice, but was met with a snappy response. At that point, I just thought, "Alright... maybe I shouldn't have mentioned anything." The worst part came afterward when my family asked, "I thought you were going to cut your hair? It looks the same except the back's a little shorter!" Unfortunately, they were right. She didn't do what I requested and instead did exactly what I had asked her not to do. I asked for the top to be trimmed 2-3 inches, to leave the length alone because it was fine, and not to shave the back of my neck. I honestly considered not leaving a tip, but I chose to anyway because I didn't want whatever was bothering her to carry over to the next customer. I didn't want them to go through the same horrible experience I did. For whatever reason, she obviously wasn't interested in listening to anything I had to say. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Great Clips. I understand everyone has off days, but customers should still feel heard and leave with the haircut they requested. My mom was a cosmetologist for over 30 years, and I can guarantee you she never disrespected her customers. read more

I started coming here more often since it's conveniently situated between where I work and where I live. If I'm going into a grave rotation, it's easy for me to stop here on the way up for a quick cut. I've had the same Barber each time I've been here and she's great at what she does. Very friendly, personable, and cuts my hair just the way I like it. I'm pretty sure they save your preferences in their computer because after cutting my hair just once, she remembered exactly how I like it. They're currently not accepting walk ins. You MUST join the virtual wait list on their website and check in on arrival. Masks are required for both customers and Barbers. They'll also ask you Covid related questions and to sanitize your hands upon checking in. Overall, I like it here and will continue to come back. All the Barbers are friendly and I've never had an issue with how my hair was cut. I'm simple so I'm usually in and out in 20 minutes or so. I would like to see them implement a feature of choosing which Barber you'd like to wait for (like Sport Clips does). That's pretty much my only gripe. read more

They're in a very nice while I was waiting there was a kid crying and they stopped what they were doing to make sure that he got a toy so he would stop crying it was the cutest thing.They did a really good job on my hair exactly what I wanted I would recommend this place They were very friendly and listen to what you want so if you bring a picture in they'll look at it and probably be able to do it most likely or tell you why it wouldn't work for your hair. read more

Do not waste your time or money at that place. Not only did the stylist not understand what a tapered hair cut was but even after showing an example, she did the complete opposite of what I wanted and to make matters worse I asked for a beard trim and it was uneven. You are better off attempting to cut your own hair as oppose to coming to this place. read more

Rosa listened to what I wanted. Granted it was just cleaning up the sides and taking some off the top, but she gave great customer service and the haircut is awesome. Believe me, I am always afraid of finding a new Glamour Technician ;-) when moving to a new town. I decided to give this place a try and was not disappointed. Everyone was nice and talkative. I am an old guy who only wants a standard short haircut. This is the easiest kind of hair job. Sometimes I get a good-looking one, sometimes I get an awful one. It is about 50-50 odds. The last haircut was given by a ham-fisted operator who was so rough and fast with the electric trimmer I almost asked her if she could go a little easier. She cut like one of those Australian movies about sheep shearing speed contests. I guess "Great" Clips management does not read Yelp. Because nothing has changed here for years. read more

I had my hair cut here a few days ago and it was terrible. The girl who washed my hair was rough. Her work was poor. I asked for a long bob and it's super uneven. Hair in the front of my face is shorter than the hair in the back. I left a pity 4 dollar tip but now I regret it because my hair is uneven and her customer service skills were a 1 out of 10. :( read more

There's no care or effort, the lady who just cut my hair treated the experience like a nascar pit stop. I love this place! I keep a very short hair cut that is usually cut by my barber in Los Angeles. Tina does an impeccable job and I am very hard to please! Brought boys here to get haircut, you never know what you are going to get here. Asked for same hair cut for both. One turned out good, the other still had a section where it looked like someone took clippers as a prank and clipped a 2 in x 1 in rectangle on side of his head. Then she asked if it was good. Husband had to point it out to her and she said oh I'll fix. Well to fix, she obviously had to shave the rest of his hair off, now it looks like he has a military haircut. I'm just glad that hair grows back! I don't understand how if you ask for a haircut for 2 boys, and tell them to cut exactly same, how they come out completely different. I went in Friday for a simple shoulder length cut. The stylist didn't use a comb to guide the scissors as she cut but I didn't think anything of it, just assumed everyone has their own methods. I have wavy hair and it was still wet when I left so it looked okay in the mirror and I figured it would be fine when it dried. Oh no. I have multiple sections of hair that are hanging down 1/2-1 inch longer than the rest of my hair. It had to had taken effort to get it this uneven. Never again. read more

"Everyone has to start somewhere", "we all make mistakes". This is what the manager used to try and make things better. Minutes after another hair stylist had just finished removing almost half of my hair from the side of my head. When I arrived I asked for a low two on the sides and a tiny trim off the top. I had about 3-4 inches of hair on my head when I walked in. During the cut I noticed a significant amount of my hair was gone. Now I had an S shape on the side of my head. As soon as I mentioned it the woman cutting my hair asked the manager for help. I was EXTREMELY frustrated and conveyed that verbally then got out of the chair. The manager said she would try to fix my hair. When I sat down again the manager started cutting my hair higher and higher. This was resulting in a "kid n play" style haircut. Shaved on the sides and long on top. That was not working for me, I was still very upset and asked the manager to buzz it. She buzzed it, not very cleanly though I still had long random hairs sticking out of the side of my head. The manager asked me if I was satisfied.... Clearly upset I said I wasn't anywhere close to being satisfied. My hair and been butchered. Here's the kicker, the manager threatened me by wishing she could tell my Commanding Officer about my behavior. I didn't have a military style haircut until I left the place with a buzz. Not once did I announce I was in the military. Deny, deny, and counter accuse is what the Great Clips manager resorted to. Hilarious. Not all of the stylists there are bad. I've been going there for two years. My recommendation is to ask how long they've been cutting hair before they take their scissors to you. Once again Fernley hits rock bottom and continues to dig, stay classy. read more

Been more of a hit than a miss. They take down your information so you should get the same haircut every time, but when you get different barbers the information is not understood. First time was spot on, but the last two were way off the mark. But I bite my tongue and I am thankful my hair has no issue growing back. Nice and professional staff, I just don't want to get my haircut there anymore. They do however do a great job on my daughters hair. read more

2009-2010ish Used to be a great salon. Used to be a professional and courteous salon. Now Stylists often talk negatively about clients who leave their chair or from the phone to clients in their chair. I often have issues with my boys cuts as they are uneven and missed areas. And they don't do the regular mirror check in the back of the heads like they are supposed to. Stylists here need the Great Clips training and more clipper cuts training. First time reviewer. First time Customer. Ok, it's been a couple of weeks since I got my hair cut at this location. Never will I ever again. They ask to take down your information so they can get the same haircut every time you come back in. So glad I didn't - how hard can it be if this is suppose to be your profession. I came in for a trim and I feel like I left with a mullet. I asked for a few simple layers and was very clear that the layers should fall in a V shape in the back. If there was any shape on back of my hair it's maybe a very flat U shape.Each morning I look at my hair I'm immediately disappointed - which is the reason for this review. I can clearly see that my hair was cut across - it doesn't even cascade down when draped over the front of my shoulder. I would go and get it fixed but it was cut so short I have no choice but to let it grow out. The lady was very nice and the dead ends are gone however my hair is still ruined. They offer a 2 dollar discount for military that I didn't see advertised but was happy to see on my receipt. A little higher price than I would expect for this area, but still cheaper than some other nearby barbers. Would go again/recommend. read more

i have been going here for a while. they send me coupons every 6mos or so. i came back in last week and got the next available stylist. a total mistake she ruined the simplest cut in the world. so i went back to get a refund and a coupon for another cut after it grows out. Shantell talked me into letting her fix the cut. it wasn't easy because it was already pretty short. she worked some miracles. my hair looks much much better. it will grow out perfect. i suggest always using her. she is a bit on the unusual side, but she DEFINITELY knows what she is doing and is extremely good at it. i will ask for her ALWAYS. she fixed my hair and they offered me a free cut (no expiration date) and $5 off my next cut after that. i have two of those. one for the original cut and one from this one. no expiration dates. remember to give your name address and phone number, then they will send you coupons for more $6.99 cuts. also you automatically get $5 off your next cut with your receipt. you also get discounts for signing up online before you go in. they also have a special from 7pm - 9pm they have a $9.99 after 7pm cut. call to make sure it's 7 days a week. it might just be monday - friday. good luck!!! remember ask for Shantell, she is THE BEST!!! read more

I've used this Great Clips many times for hair cuts- usually the ladies are excellent, always giving me excellent hair cuts. Today, not so much. I asked for a simple trim- half an inch off the ends, simple right? All that was trimmed was the back of my hair- bangs, sides, all untouched. When I asked the girl cutting my hair if she would trim the sides & bangs, she said "I don't need to it's fine." Well....not really. As a person who dyes and bleaches my hair on occasion, my hair definitely needs trims to keep healthy and strong. So, why is it, when asked, this girl refused to trim majority of my hair? Sadly I don't know her name, but as far as bad hair cuts go, this was the worst- simply because it wasn't a hair cut. Oh well, at least I got a $15 hair shampooing! read more

I have utilitzed this location for family haircuts off and on for about two years, the staff seems ever revolving, however we have never had a bad experience. I have all girls, so we are not receiving the clippered haircuts, so I cannot speak for that. I do want to say on a positive note, that when I ask for a trim anywhere, usually they take way more than what I consider a trim, and I find it sooo frustrating. At this place, there is a lady currently there, named Jessica, and she listens when you ask for 'just a trim', she cuts just about a quarter inch, when you tell her a trim please. She's amazing and helpful and friendly. None of the staff has ever been rude or disrespectful that we have ever seen. We will continue going back. read more

I came in to get the split ends and damage cut out of my hair, nothing fancy. My stylist was not very personable (not talkative, smiley, etc). When I tell them I want a couple inches off, I expect that stylist to look at the amount of damage I really have because I can't see all of it and give me a professional opinion on what I should do. That didn't happen at all. It was a quick cut and when I got home I feel ripped off. I still have damage and I feel like I shouldn't have left the tip that I did. I read you can take the receipt back in and get it fixed, but I don't want to go back to this stylist. I would feel extremely uncomfortable. read more

I've been going here for about 8 months after my regular stylist left the profession. I have found them to be professional, friendly, and concerned with giving me the best haircut they can. I also bring my two grandsons here to have their hair cut and they do a very good, consistent job as well as make them feel comfortable with the process. the added advantage is that the haircuts are cost effective. You can make appointments if you don't wish to wait, although I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes at the most. I am very happy with them. read more
