One of my favorite things here is the private mineral soak. They have different rooms inspired by the chakras, so you can reserve your own private room and simply soak, relax, and disconnect for a while. They also have an outdoor soaking area that you can reserve with friends, bring your own food, and spend an hour or two relaxing together (no alcohol). There are also many different treatments and packages, so you can choose how much--or how little--you want to do. I tried the roller table, where you lie down for about 30 minutes while a gentle roller moves along your body. Very simple, but incredibly relaxing. I also did the chakra light experience, which combines the lights with music aligned with the different chakra vibrations. I became so relaxed listening to the music that I almost fell asleep! And then there was my massage with Camille. Her touch was absolutely magical and restorative. I left feeling deeply relaxed and recharged. They also offer an infrared sauna and several other treatments, and you can combine different experiences into packages depending on what you enjoy and how much time you want to spend there. This place has such a peaceful, unique atmosphere, and I highly recommend checking it out--whether you just want a private mineral soak or want to make a whole self-care day out of it. When I booked it, it said total time was 1hr 15. And when I later asked, they said that includes clean-up time. What does clean-up time have to do with the time shown to the guest? There's also a reason Dolce Vita had availability last-minute, when Atlantis and Peppermill didn't. Dolce is simply not worth the price. The amenities are very very average. In the ladies room, there's only a steam room and sauna. The shampoo and conditioner are poor quality too. The men's room (according to my partner) doesn't even have a steam room. I've visited Dolce about three times, and this past weekend will be my list. You can get a much better experience elsewhere, and for less money. The masseuses are good, but the customer service is just ok. Really wish they'd be more upfront about add-ons, and really wish they'd step up their amenities because the location has potential.

The spa itself is THREE glorious floors of relaxation, including a salon, ladies' locker room, Caldarium, Himalayan salt room, cold plunge, hot tubs, sauna, treatment rooms, and relaxation areas. Basically, once you enter, there is absolutely no reason to return to society. FYI: a 20% gratuity is automatically included with your treatment fee, but it can be adjusted to your liking. This visit, I tried the 100- minute Lavender Dreams Body Scrub & Massage with Kelly, and OMG. First came the body scrub, which removed approximately 48 years' worth of dead skin cells and left me feeling like I had been issued an entirely new epidermis. Then I rinsed off in their multidimensional futuristic shower, which sprays water from multiple directions and made me feel like I was being pressure-washed--but luxuriously. Then came the massage.. Kelly started by pressing warm sachets filled with lavender buds and marine salt along the meridian points of my body, and from there... my memory gets a little fuzzy. I'm pretty sure I died. I may have briefly seen heaven. All I know is that every ounce of tension left my body, my soul apparently exited the premises, and the next thing I remember was waking up feeling ridiculously refreshed. Apparently what I really needed was a massage-induced power nap. Thank you, Kelly. I have no idea what happened in that room, but please do it again. Lavender Dreams has officially earned a spot in my regular treatment rotation. I've also had many massages here with Shauna, who is absolutely spectacular. If you're staring at the treatment menu suffering from spa decision paralysis, the Wine Down Massage and All About You Facial are also sure winners. For facials, Danielle is my go-to. Sixteen years later, Spa Toscana remains one of my happy places. Come early, stay late, use ALL the amenities, and prepare to temporarily forget that you have responsibilities. 10/10. We finished the day with a delicious shrimp salad and a glass of Prosecco. It was the perfect spa experience from beginning to end. I'm already looking forward to returning!

Speaking of which, though we did stay Sunday to Tuesday, if there were 3 other people on the private beach along with us, it was a lot...really private. The condo itself was decent, though a bit dated as is typical for Tahoe. That said, very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen. Unlike the lodge, the condos are individually owned so each one will be furnished differently. None of the units have A/C, but numerous fans are provided for warmer months. Out stay the temps outside were perfect so no need. Our unit also had a wood burning fireplace for those looking to come up in the winter, they even have ski lockers. The pool and hot tub were clean...pool a little chilly, the tub perfectly heated. There is also a fire pit, cornhole and a volleyball net for those so inclined. Beach chairs and towels are also provided, a nice touch. As with everything, a little pricey but you are right on the lake and, oh yeah, a really private beach. Plenty of free parking and a short stroll down the beach or on the street to restaurants (right behind Heidi's...the best breakfast on the lake!!), water craft rentals and close to groceries. All in all, a great 3 day staycation to celebrate our honeymoon (they surprised us with wine). Again, thank you Jose and the team for making it even better!

There were some weird things happening in our unit during our stay. The fire alarm went off at 4:20 am one of the mornings- completely woke us up from a dead sleep. We didn't see people evacuating or hear any announcements. Apparently it wasn't the whole building/ not sure exactly what happened. We talked with some ladies in the hot springs who were a floor above us- they never hear the alarm. The jacuzzi in our room wouldn't turn on jets when I tried it. This was during a thunderstorm-so the hot springs were out of the question. The front desk was caring and offered to send maintenance- but I had already added my essential oils and soak mixture- so I just needed to soak at that point. I'm sure they have resolved these issues after we checked out. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the room- as well as the large deck for sunrise, sunset, and watching the stars and clouds. Plenty of parking in the lot The hot springs were cleaner in the mornings- so not sure if that happens 1x a day, We went in the first night- but lots of debris in the tubs Cleaner next morning. We also had red about different temperatures on the different hot spring pools/ did not find a difference in temperature Also, the jets are not turned on for the hot springs. Apparently this happened years ago. There is a morning water aerobics class Monday and Wednesday at 8. This seems to be popular. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant on the property the first night. We had to sit in the bar area due to a large party booking the whole dining room- this was one of the best meals we had while in the area- just wish they were open more days. They are closed Monday and Tuesday. Easy checkout- we were able to do it from our phone and leave our wristbands in the room
