I checked-in online and the approximate waiting time was 12 minutes; however, I ended up waiting close to 30 minutes once I got there.

I'm very very very picky about where I get my thick hair cut (my hair has broken two separate barber clippers), including going to 12 different locations over the past year trying to find the right hair cut, and now after two outstanding cuts and experiences, I can say I can stop looking because this Great Clips is the place for me. My stylists were very attentive to my (some would say picky) requests and troublesome hair. I'm excited that I went here and am excited that I found my one. read more

First thing about this place is, don't expect service to be "great!" Just like a corporate company like mcdonald's, you will not be given equal service. The experience we had with this place pretty awkward(racial after the experience). I went into the salon to check on the wait time since the TV didn't post the wait list. Beforehand, a young lady(hispanic), was asked if she signed up online and replied, "no." Then, the lady told them that it would be a 30 minute wait. Great, next, I go in and ask how long the wait was for my daughter and so forth. It was like pulling off a Band-Aid. 15 min was our wait time since we checked in online 15 minutes prior. I'm not sure if it was my tattoos, being Asian, or I look young for being almost 40. To make a long story short of this review, the young lady in front of me was taken 10-15 minutes after her check-in. I went to Nancy, remembered her because she had some very nicely detailed tattoos, how the lady was taken ahead of us. She replied she was ahead of you guys. I responded, we just talked to you and I was behind the lady she told 30 minutes. Nancy, the manager, responded, "we're humans, we make mistakes." That was something that came out of left field. Then my lady comes in seeing how upset I was and asked for help and all the employees ignored us including the manager. Nancy responded, "I'm sorry, I'm cleaning right now," while another employee replied "I'm going on break." My lady asked for the name of the lady going on break and proceeded to leave the store not caring about the guest, aka my wife. Nothing more I can add to this because with these times, i didn't believe it really does exist. Worst experience, ever! read more

Needed a quick trim before I left on vacation & decided to head into Great Clips. Checked in with there online reservations & was taken right away for a trim & wash. Angel took care of me! So I wanted to get a trim and get my bangs cut but my normal place was booked and last time I got my haircut here was from a Male and it turned out great! So I had high hopes thinking he would be there again to cut my hair. I ended up getting Melissa. I had read a few reviews about her and she doesn't have a lot of fans so I was already hesitant. Everything I wanted to do with my hair I wasn't able to get done because she shot down my requests every time because she was rushing me. The actual haircut was about 3 minutes long and she didn't check if it was evened out. She ended up blow drying my hair but she just kept pulling with so much force I was in so much pain. I would let out an ouch but she would still pull my hair. She ended using half a bottle of serum in my hair and by the time I was done it felt so gross and oily. I ended up paying around 45 dollars because she blew dry my hair. I specifically asked her if she could use the straightener too because I have thick curly hair but she just used the blow dryer and it ended up looking terrible. I ended up washing it when I got home because it felt so gross. I couldn't believe I wasted 45 dollars for her to basically torture me. I'm a nice person and didn't have the courage to tell her I hated it and tipped her anyways. Also when I ended up doing my hair later wasn't even at all and I had to get it fixed else where which wasted even more money. She terrible. If you like your hair and don't want your hair to be pulled then don't go to Melissa. read more

My son and I have been looking for a barber since he moved out of Downey. We have gone all over and they are all to expensive. All we need is just a good ole hair cut. So we found this place and decided to give it a shot. I downloaded the app, which is helpful in letting you know the wait time and you are able to check in as well. We did and when we showed up we were taken right in. I know my son got Angel to cut his hair. He did great job. I got another person and I'm sorry I don't remember her name but she was very patient and knew what I was asking for. They both did a good job on my son and I. My wife and I are seniors with my wife having dementia.. I struggle daily to give her the best care possible ...having said that I took her to this place for a simple hair cut and was greeted by a woman (didn't get her name unfortunately) who insisted on all my personal info and copped an attitude when I reluctantly gave her the info .. not sure what happened to customer service and greetings with a smile have all but disappeared to us who no longer have youth on our side ...lady you know what you did to us ...!!! My sister wanted to donate her hair and she called and they told her they can cut her hair for free to donate it to a cancer organization and give her the envelope to mail it herself. Then we drove all the way over there just so the red head can tell us that she's going to charge us for a $15 hair cut when I didn't mind paying for the haircut what really made me mad was the fact that they lie to you through the phone and tell you something totally different... keep in mind the place was empty she told me I had to wait 30mins to get a cut. I got my hair cut Sunday. Awful. I'm not a picky person one bit. I asked a guy, that was waiting to be cut, if he had been here before. He said yes. He also said to not have a certain girl cut my hair. Unfortunately, I assumed he was a picky person and got the girl to cut my hair. And, I promise you this-It is by far, the worst hair cut I got. The girl cutting my hair literally seemed like she was "not there." I asked for a three buzz cut on the sides and just a trim on top. I sport a fohawk- very very simple hair cut. I have literally debated going to another shop and asking them what they can do to fix it. I literally downloaded yelp for this review alone. I think the girls name was Michelle. She had black hair. I hate pointing people out. But, girl, you should not be cutting hair. I don't mean to be rude. I just literally can believe what she was thinking. My husband and myself we got haircuts yesterday 8-21-16 and i asked for trim and my hair was cut uneven i asked the lady if she can fixed my layer around my face. My husband hair was really bad cut his side burns one was square and the left one was like a v shape behind his ears one side was cut too much other one wasn't. I know we paid5.99 but still you expect a decent haircut . I try to take picture of my husband hair but he was upset didnt let me take it in order to post it for the review. HORRIBLE!! no one come here this girl named Melissa doesn't know how to cut hair for crap. She probably just got out of hair cutting school, I don't know how she got a certificate from there. My grandmother and I came into here cause they had a sign that said $5.99 haircut. So my grandmother shows this girl a picture of exactly how she wanted her hair, and the girl mumbled "ok". My grandma happens to have short hair like a pixie cut and she just wanted a little to be cut off cause she wanted volume on top. So time passes and I overhear my grandma saying please don't cut anymore of. The girl says oh Im just making it even. So then the girl says "ok its done". She looks in the mirror and her hair is still wet and slick down. My grandmother tells me its the shortest she's ever had it and it literally had bald spots on the back of her head and like a mans head. If you do chose to come here I highly don't recommend Melissa get anyone else cause shell try to make you bald and chop off all of your hairs. read more
