I will be the first to say I have not had a full cookie cake in at least ten years, so this may be something that changed but I didn't realize it. I ordered a cookie cake that morning on their website, that part went great. I picked it up at the time it was supposed to be ready. It looked beautiful, exactly what I ordered. But once we cut into it, I was surprised. It was SO THIN. You had to use a spatula to pull out the pieces then plate them because there was no way the cookie cake piece would stay up just using your fingers to hold it at the edge. It immediately folded. This is a decent place to get cookies but if you're thinking of working here DON'T! The manager and (some) of the employees are nice but the assistant manager (Tonya) is not. While I was working there Tonya talked to me like a dog, made fun of my panic attack, told me I needed to act like an adult, made fun of my appearance ,and called me stupid. She is a grown woman and a bully. She got some of the other employees to make fun of me and talk about me behind my back. she was a 40 year old woman and made me (18 years old) cry. The whole system and the way the situation was handled was TRASHY. Please save yourself from shattered confidence and depression and find somewhere else to work. read more

My son went to pick up the cookie I had ordered for a college graduation party only to find out I had ordered it for the next Saturday! Needless to say the party was happening within a couple hours. I went straight into panic mode. The people were so nice about my obvious mistake and they assured my son they would have it ready in an hour and they did exactly that. This is like any other great American cookie but I have to say they seem to find nice kids to work there and they always have what you want. More than once I have stood, looking for my favorite cookie (the pizza slice sized ones, with white and brown icing) and of they don't have any someone offers to make them. Good service for such a small space. I have ordered birthday cookies a couple of times and they were always ready and fresh when I arrived. Of course they are expensive. But I stop there every time I go to the mall so what can I say... Good cookies. Fifth star when the cookies are free! read more

Birthday cakes are very dear to me. I always want my friends, relatives and myself :) to have a neat and thoughtful birthday cake. I spent my last birthday in Longview and needed a special cake. I wanted a certain design, but a few of the grocery stores I went to said they were unable to do the design (how hard is a bumblebee?). I went to the "Great American Cookie..." in the Longview mall and hoped that they would be able to do the design I had in mind. The staff was awesome. They actually did not have the design i wanted, a bumblebee, but assured me that they would practice until they could do it. The next day I came back to get the cake (expedient work also!!), and saw the amazing creation. It was exactly what I wanted and was simply adorable. "Bee Lane" is a nickname, and they were able to put that special something into my family birthday celebration.
