Had to jack up car and tighten filter and wipe off leaked oil.

Second time this location has left the oil filter and plug loose. Kid was in a hurry to get back to skateboarding behind the shop that day. Didn't reset my oil change light either. This shop needs a better check and balance system to keep this from happening. Think with Jifffy libe opening a new shop close by attention to detail would be important.

    Receipt

I went in for an oil change and state inspection. 2 months later I have a car with a brand new battery (June 15, 2024) which is refusing to start. I had AAA come out and test the battery and alternator and both checked out good. It was the AAA technician who spotted the fluid deficiency. My Ford Transit Connect Van has a safety feature that when certain fluids are low it won't start. The fluid that was not present in the reservoir was coolant. According to my receipt it was "checked". I was also missing the window wash fluid cap. My husband went and bought a new cap for the wiper fluid, wiper fluid and coolant. Car started up like a champ. Disappointed for sure as the customer service I received at the visit was great.

Great experience and was much less than other oil changes I've gotten. Fast friendly service. Will return.

I have two go-to oil change locations in the Charlotte area and this is one of them. Why? I…read moredemand 3 things from an oil change service: 1) inexpensive, 2) fast (nothing worse than waiting in those cramped waiting "rooms," with Oprah on the TV monitor and 3 day old coffee out of a styrofoam cup), and 3) no pushy upcharging tactics. The last two times I've been here I've been their only customer (go early on Sundays), so I was in and out in no time. Their basic oil change fee is $39.99 which is on par with most other places, but they often have coupons to drive down the cost. They do pull your filters, but I didn't feel pressured to pull the trigger on an additional products or services. They let me look at them and allow me to tell them what I want to do versus trying to convince me to do something. They also recommend a service timeline.... meaning at X miles you should consider tire rotation or system flush or whatever. Maybe all customers don't like that info, but I appreciate being informed since I can't keep my services records straight in my head. Again, not pushy, just informative. I'll admit the service model is a little weird. You drop off your car like normal, but then someone escorts you into the waiting room, offers you coffee, etc. You then walk up to the desk where they talk to you about what they've seen in your car and recommend certain products or services. Feels a little forced and scripted, but if you can get past this, I feel this is a great place for the average Joe.

Extremely poor integrity and dishonest service (I would give a Zero Star if I could)…read more I brought my Mazda sedan here for a routine oil change, and the low engine oil light triggered immediately after leaving. When I brought the car back 2 hours later to have them check their work, the staff was completely dishonest and lied to me about the issue.I manually checked the physical dipstick myself and it registered low. I had to come back again the following day to force them to check it properly and finally put more oil in to fix their mistake. The light has stayed off since they actually filled it to the proper capacity. Do not trust this location with your vehicle--they will underfill your engine, lie to your face when called out, and take you for a ride. Check your dipstick before you leave! I see very negative reviews for this location (and now I know why) in the past couple of years and I should have checked more diligently before taking my car here for oil change. I have had good experiences with Jiffy lube locations across multiple states, but this location should be avoided at all costs!!

It's so refreshing to know there are business owners who are not trying to pull one over on someone, especially in this economy! Within the past two years, I got a 2023 Volkswagen. My dad taught me about cars growing up, and since we always had American vehicles, we just took them to dealerships. Late December, my car had less than 17,000 miles and the VW dealership tried to charge me for new rotors and brakes which were over $700. Let's just say I definitely wasn't afraid to bring this up with my advisor since my rotors were clean. He then told me I just needed brakes which were almost $400. I might be a young woman, but I certainly do not like dishonesty ...maybe they did not expect me to know some basic things about cars. But I called up Arthur's shop right afterwards knowing that his shop was established and asked if he had some time to get me in to give me a second opinion. He got my car in right away and he took care of me. He got my brakes changed, confirmed my rotors were good and that they didn't need to be touched, and did so for a reasonable price. Highly recommend this shop for honest, good quality work and you're supporting a friendly local business. This is definitely going to be my new place!

After asking a few people for recommendations, I decided to try Trinity Auto. Arthur was so incredibly knowledgeable, extremely kind, AND charged me less for parts, labor, and fixing a leak that caused the mess than the dealership wanted for one of the parts alone. Finding Arthur was an absolute life saver and I'll never take my car anywhere else from now on.

Holding themselves out as transmission experts, they sold her some $600+ repair. The problem was not fixed, as the shuddering continued in the days and weeks after our visit. We then brought it to two other repair shops, a statewide chain and the dealership, and after inspecting it, they both indicated there was a major transmission issue and it would likely need to be replaced. These other shops didn't try to sell us work, and didn't charge us anything, but simply used their expertise to give us an honest assessment. How refreshing. We concluded that we should just get rid of the vehicle, as a new transmission would be about $10k (based on two estimates). Therefore, the $600 we spent with AAA on the transmission a few weeks prior really was throwing good money at bad. I came back to the AAA shop for some form of consideration for this wasted money, and all the manager kept telling me is that they fixed "a" problem that existed on the vehicle, so I got something for my money, and they were off the hook. I was given a free oil change card, which seemed more like a directive to go away. I also contacted AAA corporate office about the issue, and they told me to pound sand with some templated email about the decision being "final" (despite there never being any back-and-forth on it between us). Sounds like they are proud of their sales-oriented culture. I expected more from this company, both at the shop and from their corporate response. The bottom line: AAA is a good place for an oil change at a good price (and I may return for that service), but I wouldn't trust them with anything complex. There are many better options out there.
