Extremely poor integrity and dishonest service (I would give a Zero Star if I could). I brought my Mazda sedan here for a routine oil change, and the low engine oil light triggered immediately after leaving. When I brought the car back 2 hours later to have them check their work, the staff was completely dishonest and lied to me about the issue.I manually checked the physical dipstick myself and it registered low. I had to come back again the following day to force them to check it properly and finally put more oil in to fix their mistake. The light has stayed off since they actually filled it to the proper capacity. Do not trust this location with your vehicle--they will underfill your engine, lie to your face when called out, and take you for a ride. Check your dipstick before you leave! I see very negative reviews for this location (and now I know why) in the past couple of years and I should have checked more diligently before taking my car here for oil change. I have had good experiences with Jiffy lube locations across multiple states, but this location should be avoided at all costs!! read more

What the heck? Drove in for an oil change and the workers were just standing around talking looking at me knowingly I'm waiting to be pulled in for an oil change. After a few minutes I just drove away. It's 9:50 AM Friday, August 1. Management you know who was working this shift. I will not return to Jiffy Lube. read more

Went In for just an oil change and they added windshield fluid without asking first and then charged 9 dollars for that service. Thought they were suppose to ask before performing any service. I hope it wasn't because I'm a female. Never going back. read more

Very disappointed in my experience! Went for an oil change and got a $300 repair bill. They over filled my crankcase causing me to have to my SUV to the dealer for diagnostics and repairs. I also missed a very important trip due to my car being our of service due to the negligence of the person performing the oil change. My receipt indicated that services were performed that did not happen, i.e. vacuum of floors, exterior windows being cleaned. In addition as I got on the 485 after leaving, I discovered my hood had not been properly secured. I called the parent co. of this store and asked to speak to someone and was told that the district mgr. would give me a call. 10 days later no return call. It is obvious to me this location does not have qualified techs doing the work nor does the management care about customer service! Buyer beware, find another place besides this store to get your oil changed! read more

I had been a customer of this Jiffy Lube for 20 years. On June 9, I went to the Jiffy Lube, at 207 N Polk St, Pineville, NC 28134 for my regular oil change and all went well. One week later, I was driving my car and the plug retaining the transmission fluid fell off, draining my transmission of fluid. This destroyed my transmission. I was told later a disgruntled employee did this purposely. Jiffy Lube initially agreed to replace the transmission but, after a week, stopped returning my calls. The transmission was not a part of the service that visit and the technician had no cause to be working on it. I would not recommend this Jiffy Lube to anyone. Had they followed through with their promise to replace the transmission, they would have a customer for life. Instead, they lost a customer for life. I want to share my experience and not recommend Jiffy Lube, at 207 N Polk St, Pineville, NC to anyone. They do not stand behind their work or their word. With so many other service stations available, I would recommend not taking a chance with this service. read more

This was a terrible experience. I took my 2012 G37 in and asked for conventional and tire pressures since my indicator was on. They pressured me for synthetic and I declined. They then came out several more times pressuring for synthetic (!). When I left tire pressures were still low so I asked them to please inflate again. They did and I asked to what psi. They confirmed 33 then admitted they hadn't even checked although that was a principle reason for the visit and they noted it was done on the receipt. I've always had good experience with jiffy lube but I assure you this location is just bad as I now see from other reviews. I don't think you can trust these folks unfortunately. read more

Strangest place. I never got an oil change. Pulled up behind 2 empty cars. Waited for a few min, no one came out. So I went inside. Waited for someone that works there...nothing...so I went back out and stood near my car for about 30 min. Someone came out about 15 min in and put a used, dirty paper mat in my car and didn't look at me. After a while, I just left. Oddly, I heard them acknowledge I existed at that point. Not sure if Jiffy Lube has a way of doing things that you have to be in the know. I'm used to places that at least acknowledge you are there. read more

Took my VW Passat here and they asked me what oil was supposed to be used in my car. For a place specializing in oil changes your think they would know. About a week later, there was a dragging sound under my car It turns out they also never put the screws back in to hold the various parts under the car in place. I will never go back here and suggest people find somewhere else to get their oil changed. read more

Don't go here! There's basically three aspects of value, right? Speed, quality, and cost. Fast food is cheap and fast, but not great quality. A barber who is fast and gives a great cut won't be cheap. So on and on. I went for my oil change here, told the first employee that I didn't know much about the car, (it was my father's and he needed a hand with it) so please check everything and tell me what you recommend. So then I wait. And wait. And wait. All the customers I'm sitting with can't believe how long this was taking. I arrived at 1:45, my car was finally done around 3pm. So, again about the above three things? Not fast service. Finally the first employee comes back, with my bill. She shows it to me, it's $84! Mind you, I don't know this car, but it's a small 4 cylinder engine car. Maybe 2.5 liter? Maybe 3. I ask why it's so expensive, when up the road the other place advertises a 39.99 oil change. She says it's their corporate price, they don't control it. The receipt doesn't even say how much oil they put in. So yeah, not cheap. So then I ask the same employee, remember, from the beginning: so did the air filters, all that, do they look ok? She says, well our manager is the one who looked at them, so idk. I'm sure if they looked bad he'd have said so. So I ask to ask him personally, cause I really don't mind paying for new filters if they're needed. She says he left, he's not at the store. I'm getting super frustrated by now, so I say, well I want to know if they need to be replaced, that's half the reason I brought my dads car here. So they call him, the manager, on his cell, and he tells them he never checked the filters! Apparently another car in at the same time was giving them trouble. But wait, I say, it's been over an hour, the price was way over what expected and more than your competition, and you didn't even look at the things I asked you to look at? I asked for my money back, but I'd already paid with a card and they said they couldn't do that. So. Not fast, not cheap, and not good service. Don't go here! read more

I have two go-to oil change locations in the Charlotte area and this is one of them. Why? I demand 3 things from an oil change service: 1) inexpensive, 2) fast (nothing worse than waiting in those cramped waiting "rooms," with Oprah on the TV monitor and 3 day old coffee out of a styrofoam cup), and 3) no pushy upcharging tactics. The last two times I've been here I've been their only customer (go early on Sundays), so I was in and out in no time. Their basic oil change fee is $39.99 which is on par with most other places, but they often have coupons to drive down the cost. They do pull your filters, but I didn't feel pressured to pull the trigger on an additional products or services. They let me look at them and allow me to tell them what I want to do versus trying to convince me to do something. They also recommend a service timeline.... meaning at X miles you should consider tire rotation or system flush or whatever. Maybe all customers don't like that info, but I appreciate being informed since I can't keep my services records straight in my head. Again, not pushy, just informative. I'll admit the service model is a little weird. You drop off your car like normal, but then someone escorts you into the waiting room, offers you coffee, etc. You then walk up to the desk where they talk to you about what they've seen in your car and recommend certain products or services. Feels a little forced and scripted, but if you can get past this, I feel this is a great place for the average Joe. read more

Quentin's Back! Jiffy Lube is 5 stars again! Quentin, the manager of this Pineville Jiffy Lube is back after helping another location up its game. That's why you see the low star reviews in 2016 while he was gone. Now he's back and all is right with the oil change world again. Seriously, as Mark T mentioned in his review on 7/8/16, this was always a great place to get service. Quentin never pushes too hard on upsells, and explains everything clearly. I think he treats his customers with the Golden Rule, as he would like to be treated or have his family treated. I go a bit out of my way to use this shop, because I know I won't get ripped off. Decided to give this Jiffy location another chance at an oil change and was told 30 minutes. It's now been over an hour and 15 minutes and they decided to rotate tires without being asked and lost a lug nut. Now a longer wait to go get a lug nut. Avoid this location!! read more

I've had my vehicle for eight years, and took it religiously to Jiffy Lube in another state. I always had amazing service and never had a problem. However, I took my vehicle here recently, and within days of service, I had to take my vehicle to the dealership to fix two significant issues; 1. The technicians here didn't seat my oil filter properly (either the wrong tools or sloppy work), so I had to get that replaced at dealership prices. 2. Screwed up the alarm system so badly I had to go the dealership to get it fixed. This seemed to be the result of an electrical systems reset that they didn't realize they had caused. Edit - the alarm system is so bad it's going to take about $1000 to fix. Thanks Jiffy Lube. Anyway - I've always had great experiences with Jiffy Lube as a company, but not this place. read more

I had my routine oil change done here, and the staff was pleasant. I will have my car maintenance done somewhere else next time, because they were unwilling to work with my Jiffy Lube coupons. First time customer 5/10/213. They are not very through. Went in for an inspection and failed due a broken passenger mirror and weak wipers. I repaired the mirror at another location and they noticed my belts were split and cracking very badly. If it was not for the mirrors, they would have passed me and my car would have been in bad shape later down the road. If you asked me to rate this Jiffy Lube a year ago it would be five stars. In fact, I've been going to this Jiffy lube consistently for 3-4 years and even went with their upsells on filters and batteries when I needed them... Because hell, its more convenient. The African American male manager that helped me was always positive, upbeat, and the employees seemed to enjoy working for him. That has changed. I'm assuming the manager is no longer there because I haven't seen him the last two times, and service has gotten worse, a lot worse. In fact, I just left not even an hour ago and feel the need to get my review out there in hopes that this franchise will get it together. I arrived right about 4pm. I was greeted at the car, after a minute or two, and explained to the gentleman I needed an inspection, synthetic oil change, and a tire rotation. The gentleman said their air gun was not working so they won't be able to do a tire rotation. (Interestingly it wasn't working back in march when I asked for it then, too). Not bothered, I said that's fine. He said, "just grab your registration and come on in." I went into the facilities where there was no one to help me, so I stood near the managers office until a few minutes later a different guy came in and took my registration. No one else at the shop spoke to me for an hour and a half (5:30 or so)... After a long wait my car was pulled outside, on the finished side. It stayed there for about 10 minutes before I was called to the counter. The young African American lady then proceeded to say "your car failed inspection." I asked why and she said the tread on the tires are too low. I said "oh okay, I guess I need to get new tires, should I pay for the inspection now and come back?" the girl laughed and said "I'm just kidding! Wow you were calm about that." Needless to say I was quite annoyed (not visibly) at the long wait and her unprofessional approach. But what really upset me was to find out that my total cost was only $30. That's right... They didn't even do the oil change. At this point it was clear they were all ready to close shop and leave, so I didn't say anything. What a waist of my day to leave work early for this... I lost out because the requested work wasn't done. Jiffy Lube lost because they missed out on the additional revenue. And the franchise really lost, because my 4 year relationship with that store just ended. read more

I have been using this location for oil changes since the early 2000's ...mainly for location convenience. Today was probably the worst of many bad experiences other than when I arrived at opening hour on a Saturday morning and all four employees were behind the building smoking marijuana. Today, the employee who drove my new truck into the bay area had grease allover his elbow and smeared it on my center console. The manager was improperly attempting to remove my engine air filter and actually shredded it to pieces by mucleing it out without removing the top cover of the filter housing component. I made an effort to explain to him the actual owners manual instructions and he totally ignored me as if I said nothing.. Also, I was told my coolant was slightly low and needed topped off for $5.00. I had to remind the manager before leaving he forgot to perform this task and again he displayed a poor attitude and gave me a glaring stare. Not sure what the problem with this location but for many years the employee turnover rate is very abnormal...it's either the lack of compensation and/or poor leadership from the owner and/or senior management. Good luck moving forward because this was my last visit and I highly recommend anyone to not use this location for their oil change services. read more

Sure, but find me a garage that doesn't. Having an established relationship with Jiffy Lube now, I know I can trust them. Went to the Jiffy Lube in Pineville for an inspection and was told that It did not pass inspection because it had a wheel seal leaking . I went to my local mechanic right away and had him look at it, they put it on the lift went over everything and could not find any leaks at all. They could see what they were talking about, cleaned it and no sign of any leaks. I called back and told them that the mechanic could not find any leaks and I was told that I could take it somewhere else because they could not pass it. So all in all don't take your car here for inspection because I'm not sure who's word they will take in order to pass it, save your 23.00 you pay when it fails and go somewhere else. read more

Oil change took forever. Thought he was done and then he came in to "upsale" me on everything then tell me the oil change was $44.99! While they were doing it I went online found a coupon for $5 off (he could've offered that information). So I give him the coupon, it should only be $39.99....nope add in a $5 shop fee! So now we're back to $44.99 plus taxes etc. I have never paid anymore than that $30 anywhere i have gone so needless to say I won't be going back. read more

Went for inspection today. They failed the car for perfectly fine front wipers and they wanted to charge $40 for them. I went to autozone and a nearby inspection place and they told me that the wipers were perfectly fine. I didn't want to spend another $30 for re-inspection at a different place, but decided to change them for $18 so that I can pass the inspection and deal with the appeals, complaints to DMV later.. Very shady and unscrupulous.. Don't even think. Run away from this inspection place... read more

"Experienced better" per the two stars? Not really. They're all the same. This was my second time here. Second time after my other engine oil changer shop annoyed me for the last time, but that's another review. First time here was OK-good. This time? Wasn't impressed. Irritated actually. Why do all these automobile engine oil changeries want to sell me on the power steering fluid flush? Or the fuel system cleaner? Or the fuel system additive ("improves fuel economy by 20%" whoaaaa)? Or a new air filter. The only thing they didn't want to do was flush my brake fluid. Guess it was OK? They drained the engine oil then brought me in and proceeded to walk me through 200 services they could perform. Everything for $460. All of this after I said the engine oil change was all that was necessary. The guy really didn't care and continued to read off the "sales" screen. At one point I just about got into an argument with him when he started talking about change intervals. I "learned" that the recommended change interval was 3000 miles ("we don't go by months any more" noted!) if you drive in X conditions (stop & go traffic, cold starts, drag racing, etc.). Otherwise it was 7500 miles. Perfect. He then asked if I wanted to go with 3000 miles, 7500 miles or my own decision. Huh? I'm going to get my vehicle's oil changed whenever the hell I want, aren't I? I didn't understand why he was asking that or the reason. He couldn't explain why he was asking the question either. We went round and round for a few seconds then I just said 5000 miles and he entered it in the computer. After that he walked through the remaining 100 services they offered and then showed me my air filter. Apparently, with the amount of dust that is in there, my air filter is reducing my gas mileage by 1-2%. Who knew? All I know is a dirty filter is more affective at trapping particles than a clean filter. I passed on the filter change and all the services, paid the $46 and was on my way. He was kind enough to introduce me to his manager and walk me to my car. That was a little awkward though. And, I saw them do it to everyone before me, so I wasn't special. After I got in my vehicle I noticed the next change interval was 3000 miles from now...why did I tell him 5000 miles again? Where am I going with this? I know what I want and I need. If I claim I know and I don't, then it is on me. If I tell you I only want an engine oil change then that is all I want. Simple as that. Not sure if I'll go back here. But then again, if I go to another place it'll be the same thing. read more

First time at this location and I've got to say, I was impressed the service. I called around 5:30PM and asked if they were still open and if it would be okay to come on by - they close at 6PM. I got there about 10 minutes later and was greeted by a guy who walked me inside, offered me water, magazines, and showed me where the bathroom was, if I needed it. Then, Thomas walked me through all of my options for an oil change and all of the assorted extras they could offer. My entire experience lasted a mere 20 minutes and I left with an oil change and new windshield wipers (he was offering them for a steal!). They also washed my windows and vacuumed which I didn't think was standard for a Jiffy Lube type of place, and I definitely felt sorry for the guy b/c my car was a wreck! Been going to Jiffy Lube for a few years now, but the first I've gone to this location since moving. Not very impressed, as I strictly told them I only needed an oil change, awhile later they come back to me with my cabin filter trying to tell me its time for a new one. Most people in waiting room with me were complaining about how long it was taking this place too. Luckily I had gotten there before the rush, so my car was done in a timely manner, but when I went to leave I had oily fingerprints all over the outside of my car, all over the steering wheel, and all over the shift knob inside. Most likely the last time I visit here, I'll be shopping around for a new oil change place! read more

Went to this Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed and within minutes of arrival I was presented with a slew of other issues that needed maintenance; both air filters, brake fluid etc. The oil change itself was going to be twice what I'm used to paying. Once everything was tallied up I started feeling very uncomfortable with the entire experience and told them I wanted to call my husband before doing anything. He told me just to walk out and set me up with an appointment for the following morning with a reputable referral. When checking out of my following morning appointment they informed me that they had changed my oil, checked all my fluids and rotated my tires all for what I would have expected to pay for an oil change! To top it off I asked them about my filters since I was told both were in dire need of replacement to which they responded that they checked on that and they were in good shape! Needless to say I'm glad I trusted my instincts and will never give Jiffy Lube my business again! read more
