Great service that is close to my residence. I always get what I need done to my vehicle in a timely manner.

Brought in my Subaru for emergency parking brake issues and it didn't take them long to diagnose and fix. Very knowledgeable team

I found out very quickly today that this company does not value existing customers that have supported them over the years. It is sad because I formally recommended FM AUTO service on Nextdoor Facebook and on yelp. Very unreasonable today and they lost a customer. read more

Got me assisted as a walk in without an appointment in a very good time. I just moved to the area I was worried it'd be hard finding a decent auto shop that really just wants to help get good work done, very glad my first choice will be where I go every time. Thank you! read more

FM Auto Service - I love how clean the inside of the building is. - Auto Repair Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

They didn't put the right oil filter/cap on after my oil change and when I got home oil spilled out of my car in my garage. I now I have a huge stain in my new garage. Also after the tire rotation my car now doesn't drive straight. After going back in they wouldn't give me an alignment or undo the tire rotation. read more

Came in yesterday for an inspection for our car. The two gentlemen were so professional. We were in and out so quickly. I also asked for one gentleman to check our tires and he gave us his sincere recommendation instead of trying to up-sale and pressure us to buy like other places. Will be back for our car needs soon! read more

[Warning: People beware] I have gone to FM Auto Services ("Kevin") to repair some things on my van several times and each time I go he will tell me on the phone I have to pay a low price but each time I leave I have to 300-400 dollars just to get my van repaired and my van will still not be fixed correctly and for a matter of fact every time I come home a new problem shows up after. Yesterday I made an appointment to fix my starter and he told me on the phone it would cost 150 and when I went to his repair shop he said he made a mistake and changed the price to 380 dollars, speaking of a month ago I had him put a new calibrator on my car and I found out yesterday he didn't put that on my car and a month before he put a new alternator when I got home I found out my antifreeze is leaking out and now he wants to charge me the leaking of the antifreeze which he did himself. {I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS MAN.} Someone even recommended me this man to me and said he was honest and in the end, he wasn't honest. read more

Kevin is the most honest auto technician I have ever met. Seriously, he explains everything in detail, let's me know what exactly my car needs, and doesn't pressure me to think I have to get it fixed or I'll end up with a blown engine in the middle of the road. My previous dodge, yes dodge, had many issues. So I made lots of trips to the dealer, firestone, you name it. I went to FM Auto for second opinions a few times. It made more sense. And it turned out he was right. He was better. read more

Wow what can I say! I lurve this shop and shop owner Kevin. My 2001 Pony was in dire need of help (needed to replace the passenger side manifold-driver side was replaced in 4/2011) and Kevin flew in with his super heros' cap and saved the day. He kept my car for the day and returned it with smiles. My baby is back to purring and once again built for speed. Man I love my silver baby.... Kevin is an extremely honest business owner - I originally heard of him through my parents as they had some work on their 4Runner to pass that RU thingy... If you only expect the best, then give FM a try and tell him Claudine sent you! I will be taking my Pony back to do some other maintenance as I will be needing that RU thingy as well.... read more

Needed a car inspection and I was able to get in/out very quickly. Great customer service!

I've been going to Kevin for a few years now to get my car inspected. When I was a boy, my mother use to go to him all the time, and he's been the same way. He's consistent, professional, and fair. All in all, he's a good mechanic. I went in yesterday to get my car inspected, and I was in and out with no problems. I usually recommend him when others are asking about good mechanics. read more

The place my family always goes to , kevin is the best and you will for sure be satisfied with your service!

Waited a little longer than expected due to not having enough technicians. Price was a little higher than the price quoted over the phone.

I have taken my 2007 Nissan Sentra to FM Auto Service since I brought it 5 Years ago. Kevin is the only Mechanic I have trusted with my Car. I haven't had any problems with my Car after any of the repairs, and Kevin is very honest with the customer on the work and the price of the repair. read more

I love this place. Kevin, the ASI Master certified mechanic and the owner, is very knowledgeable about any cars. His price is unbeatable. If other mechanic quotes you less, you'll pay for it later by having to fix again. He's fixed the oil leak on my 2000 Audi and it was perfect . We have an Excursion here in CA with high Mileage and had to replace all the spark plugs and the coil. I called Kevin to get a quote and he gave me a reasonable price, not more than 350 to fix it and he even told me the brand name of the spark plugs, Motorcraft platinum. I called around in California to fix it, lowest price I got was 550 and they weren't even sure they can fix it. I asked if they can use Motorcraft and most said it's an expansive brand and had to charge more. We finally got it fixed for 680 plus tax. I miss Kevin!! I've heard he moved his shop to a bigger place by Albemarle Road. FM Auto Service Rocks!! read more

Kevin is a good guy and an excellent mechanic. He kept my Toyota running for twenty-one years and my Caprice alive for almost as long. He's honest and his prices are competitive. Ditch your dealership when your car's warranty runs out and take your car to FM Automotive. read more

We thought that Kevin was qualified to fix our car. However he kept putting us off and when we finally got a hold of him, he gave us a ridiculous price. When we told him that the price was too high, he pushed our car out of the shop. He left the doors unlocked and our battery was stolen from someone passing by the car. When we told him what had happened he denied everything. On top of that he was RUDE! RUN RUN RUN DON'T LET FM AUTO work on your car. read more

Excellent service at all the time for my visit. Honest, professional, and working with me all the time. Whenever I have a problem with my 2001 Acura TL, I take it to Kevin FM Auto Service without hesitation cause of the trust that I've had with him so many years. He always explains to me what's going on with my vehicle in detail honestly and do an excellent service on it. Yes, I've had pretty bad experience with other auto services like lying, bad service, and just plain trying to pull my leg all the time. However, I started taking my vehicle to Kevin after I heard about him from my friends. Since then, I didn't have to worry about my car when it gives me a trouble. I've introduced Kevin to lots of my friends as well because I really wouldn't want to see my friends get in trouble with other bad auto services in all kinds of....! Just feel the trust with Kevin, and you'll appreciate to me....! read more

I had some issues with suspension and uneven wear on tires on my 2009 Infiniti G37x Coupe. I am not a professional mechanic but I do the basic maintenance like oil changes, tune up and other simple repairs on my own. I did some researches on my issues and I've found they were most likely to be pretty normal that requires minor adjustment or repairs. But I decided that I'd need a second opinion from a professional. Kevin took hard look at the car and brought the same conclusions as mine although he could have suggested unnecessary replacements and repair services that can cost arms and legs. I would definitely go back to him any car issues and especially, if you are shopping around for your first local mechanic. read more

My mother had her car "repaired" by this gentleman and he did not repair this car at all. She took her car in because she was having trouble with her vehicle. The shop checked her car out and made "repairs" to it. The next day she took her car in to the dealer and the dealer said that he made unnecessary repairs to the car because it was shot. The work that he did on the car was useless because the car could not be saved that the mechanic at this shop knew that before he "made the repairs." The car was running on 2 cylinders and the folks at the Chevy dealership said that he knew that when he made the bogus repairs. The mechanics at the dealership informed us that this gentleman had ripped us off and that the additional oil change that he talked us into, I paid for the repairs by-the-way, was as unnecessary as the repairs that I pad for. This guy is NOT an honest person at all. I will be reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I have used this mechanic for about 5 years. He does my regular maintenance at a reasonable cost, on my Mazda pickup, Toyota Camry, and Honda CRV. He does not try to upsell other services you do not need. He is a certified, trained mechanic who diagnoses problems accurately and fixes them using proper procedures. He has fixed several small problems and was upfront and direct about the cost and very reasonable. read more
