He did such an amazing job with my car, and this mechanic shop did such an amazing job with assisting me with anything that was going wrong with my car. Although I was only getting an oil change, he called me a few times to let me know what else was wrong with the car. Battery, power steering fluid, tired rotation, windshield wipers, etc. all of it was taken cared of for less than $1,000! Not a very good franchise. They changed my oil, but the technicians were slow, unprofessional, and were trash talking my car while servicing it. I think I'll take my business elsewhere next time. I initially received a quote from Tiffany at the Pineville location to replace the fuel pump and fuel filter in my 2003 Chevy Impala for $755.57. I arranged for my car to be towed there on June 27, 2024. Upon arrival, I was told they couldn't perform the work and had my car moved to their Spee Dee Oil Change location on South Blvd. Over the next several weeks, I made multiple attempts to follow up on the status of my car with both Tiffany and Joey, who consistently claimed they were too busy to work on it. Despite providing my contact information several times, I received no updates and eventually discovered that my car had been towed away without my knowledge, incurring $475 in towing fees and $60 per day in storage fees. To make matters worse, I was informed that my car was towed because it was "abandoned," despite my continuous attempts to communicate with them. The lack of professionalism and transparency has caused me significant emotional distress and financial loss. I went in for an oil change and state inspection. 2 months later I have a car with a brand new battery (June 15, 2024) which is refusing to start. I had AAA come out and test the battery and alternator and both checked out good. It was the AAA technician who spotted the fluid deficiency. My Ford Transit Connect Van has a safety feature that when certain fluids are low it won't start. The fluid that was not present in the reservoir was coolant. According to my receipt it was "checked". I was also missing the window wash fluid cap. My husband went and bought a new cap for the wiper fluid, wiper fluid and coolant. Car started up like a champ. I told him I was very skeptical of the service and what if anything may happen to my car. Well the drain plug was not tightened and it worked its way loose and caused a big mess and caused me to miss work among other issues. 1-25-22 4:00pm, Drove my vehicle there for state inspection, they did additional windows tint test without ask or inform me, they tried to charge me the tint test 3 years ago but I show the certificate for the tint and they drop it, the past 2 years they didn't even tested and everything was ok, this time a new front desk guy said that they always test for tinted windows and is required by state law, I told him I'm not going to pay the $10 extra because my tinted windows are legal and they should ask first for certificate, he told me if I don't pay they wont give me the keys, called the police but they can't do anything about it, on the contrary I may get in trouble if I don't pay. Went in for a synthetic oil change using the "house brand" oil for $99 dollars. This oil change includes 5 quarts of oil. My truck takes 8 quarts of oil. I was charged $12 a quart for the overage. In my opinion, $12 a quart for "house brand" synthetic oil is highway robbery! I'm sure this company buys there oil in bulk which really reduces there cost. A quality quart of synthetic oil in the plastic bottle cost about $7 in the store. So much for passing some of the savings onto the customer. I will never return and inform my family (who uses this establishment) and neighbors to go somewhere else. read more

I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone. In December 2023 my wife took her car to get an oil change. Came back and I drove her car the next day. I noticed a smell of burning oil. I let it sit and then drove the car back to grease monkey when I found oil on the driveway about 3-4 days after the oil change. I brought her car back to grease monkey after I called them and told them the problem. I waited for longer than normal and they finally called me back. They said that the oil filter housing had been cracked and needed replacing. They gave me a quote for around $1400. They also said it was a coincidence that the oil filter housing cracked at the same time as the oil change. They did not own up to their mistake or apologize. The man even said it was a "crazy coincidence." Absolutely bull. This is something that should be brought to small claims court and I am considering it. Horrible business that does not own up to their mistakes and is not honest. If you are looking for an honest mechanic, go somewhere else! I can't say horrible enough about this business. read more

This place seriously scams you they will tell you things are broken but they arent. They said my air conditioner had problem so I took I took it to woodies and they said it wasn't. I also had a check engine light problem and they replaced a part and that didn't fix the issue so went back to woodies about that turns out they used a really cheap piece of junk. I went up there 2 times to speak to a manager about a refund first time woman at the front said she won't refund Although I had the paperwork. I have done business here for a number of years as well as some of my family, always with good service. Today, I dropped my car off for balance and rotation and for mechanic to check a noise. He (the unfriendly mechanic) said he was not busy today so I left it and called for a ride. 2 1/2 hours later I return to them telling me that they could not do the tire work as lug nuts not working?? So I asked if mechanic looked for noise , they said probably not! Go back to mechanic and said why have you not looked at my car, he said I just got this other one in so it will be another hour. I said my car was here the entire time and not one thing was done, he says somebody should have told him! WTF! Also, the wheels have locking lug nuts and and key was in back. I've been a customer since 2012 at the Huntersville NC location. I've never had any issues there but came to your location on 11-5 since I was in the area. The level of communication and service was by far the worse I have experienced. I've never paid more than $100 for an oil change and when they checked me out I was told it was $151 and that was with a coupon!?!? Nobody quoted or told me the price beforehand like the other location. Also why does this location cost more than the others? I will be reaching out to your corporate office because this is price gauging. I pulled into this location at 9 AM on July 25 and I had my AC blowing hot they said that they were going to run a test to see if they could find a leak and then recharge it. Alonso worked on my car, I was there 45 minutes from beginning to end cost me $211. Apparently no leak was found. I got in my car and drove two hours and the AC was gone. I then called the location back and spoke to someone and he said take it to my local mechanic since I was heading home and they will have no problem finding the leak because there should be dye everywhere. I am currently standing at my mechanic at home and there is zero dye in my car. I then called back to location this morning and spoke to Megen who then informed me that what I paid for was just a recharge of AC and there should be no dye in my car and she doesn't know why somebody misinformed me yesterday. I went to get an oil change yesterday at grease monkey on Pineville-Matthews rd before my road trip today. It was about 6:30 and the employee who checked me in tried to dissuade me from getting service I assume because it was close to closing time. So after she tells me it is going to be a half hr wait I get in in about 5 minutes. I am sitting in the car while getting service and the technician comes from underneath my car an says he broke the bolt off the screw in the oil pan,which was fully intact when I arrived. He then proceeded to tell me that it was the fault of the previous company that changed my oil priors fault that he broke the screw off?? I then speak to a series of other managers that are try to tell me it is someone else's fault that he broke the bolt? So the general manager, I forgot to get his name tells me that it isn't their fault,but being the nice guy he is he will replace the oil pan if necessary. But it being so close to closing time he would have to do it tomorrow, I say yes cool. So I find alternative transportation to and from work. After work I go to the grease monkey to see how my car is progressing and they say "we have great news,we fixed it and didn't have to change the pan. He then gives me a $103 bill for the oil change without one cent off the bill. I then got into my car and there was no sticker in the window,they never reset the oil life in the car. It said it had 17 percent oil life left and I supposedly just got it changed. I don't even know if they really changed the oil?? I normally use Goodyear Auto stores for my oil changes but today I decided to try Grease Monkey for the oil change. I drove up and one of the staff came up to me to take my info and details of the vehicle. I got concerned that the gentlemen did not ask me for the oil type I preferred so I waited with the vehicle and told the staff that I use covenantal oil. When I got the bill it was for a synthetic oil change. When I questioned the service provided the staff denied that I told them conventional oil and said that for a 2020 model they cannot use conventional oil. My vehicle is a 2016, they went back to check the year. Came back and said that it was decided that they will use the synthetic oil, with no discussion about it with me. Nissan Owner Manual * "Viscosity SAE 0W-20 * As an alternative to this recommended oil, SAE 5W-30 conventional petroleum based oils may be used and meet all specifications and requirements necessary to maintain the NISSAN New Vehicle Limited Warranty".. Eventually the manger tried to make it right by providing a discount. Furthermore they tried to sell me on changing rotors and brake pads which I didn't need as per my mechanic. Took our car in for a routine oil change, and they said we needed 4 new tires. They proceeded to replace the tires and broke the tire sensor while doing so. The light came on the next day. Took the car BACK and asked for them to fix it. They quoted us initially, but then offered to do it FREE OF CHARGE when they realized they messed up. It took them 2 hours to determine that they actually could not fix the sensor and told us to take it to the dealership. We did, and the dealership fixed it for a price. We went BACK to GM and asked for them to reimburse us, and they then went back on their word and refused to take accountability for it, and even lied about the way things were handled behind the scenes. We asked for management to get involved to give GM an opportunity to make this right yet again. We were promised a follow-up phone call by a certain date and that call never came. We then had to call them ourselves multiple times to ask for that follow-up. We spoke with Ken, Tyler and others to see if they would right this wrong and they failed. Highly unprofessional and unethical way to treat customers and we will not be coming back here. Save your time and money and go to a more reputable place for your car needs. read more
