When I arrived, the manager said he was eating lunch, I said ok. I told him a wanted a oil change. He said ok, its $129.99. I said ok sir, I also have a coupon. He said ok. After waiting in the sitting area, the manager comes back 15mins later and says total is $160.34. I said excuse me, but I have all my receipts and I've never paid more than $115.00 after coupon is applied. He said that is with the coupon. He told me they took their machines away two years ago - but I was there in October, so how did he do my Emissions test? With his mouth? So I went up the street and had my emissions, plus three other things done there instead. I was so disappointed because last year the place was so professional, and now it's so ghetto, I wouldn't leave a broke shoe there, never-mind have my car serviced. And if someone is going to lie to me - at least make it a lie I have to think about, not some juvenile, stupid lie that insults my intelligence - as if I can't remember being there the last time I had my emissions done. Well, they bent over backwards to help me aslong I had my vehicle in shop before 8am. I arrived at 7:45 am, Scott was opening up shop. I gave him the key & hoofed off to Corner Coffee. Scott shows up at Corner Coffee at about 12:30 pm to pick me up after repairs were done. He tells me that the transmission pump replacement took much less time than anticipated. So he gives me a generous labor credit. I was floored. AAA Auto Care wanted $7K to replace the transmission when all I needed was a pump replacement - a $2K cost. The honesty, integrity and communication was flawless. As a small business owner, I value these principles - and they nailed it. So don't even think twice before having Mr Transmission do your car repair for transmissions, brake work, fluid changes (oil, transmission, brakes, coolant), etc. If they don't do it, you can expect an honest answer. Can't say enough good things about these guys.
