Service requested check a/c, why it's not blowing cold. They find it 1/2 pound low on coolant,Instead of adding missing coolant and checking system, they want to charge for evap and fill 1 & 1/2 pounds of coolant, call it good. Then when you complain, they try to sell you a new a/c compressor because your old one is not pumping at all! Tech swears is was blowing cold when he backed it out. Tech is a liar!!! read more

I'd just avoid this place altogether. They do what they want, rather than what you request or need because it's about money. I was mislead and paid for a repair that wasn't useful-after hours of waiting, I left with the same problem I came in with, minus $700. Currently, I'm waiting on Corporate customer service to get back with me, and just like the experience at this location, I'm getting the same "let's pretend we're proactive", however NOTHING is getting done. What's wild is, a mobile mechanic got the job done in 30 minutes, I'm safely back on the road, and still waiting for my refund from these guys. They're going to be really nice here, and go deep deep in your pockets as much as they can. Find a good mechanic that you can trust, and stick with that person as long as you can. In regard to tires, Mavis or Discount Tire are your best bets. read more

Last year, I had a terrible experience with a different tire company. Needless to say, I'm skeptical when it comes to doing business now. Earlier this year, I utilized Good Year's mobile tire service. Had a great experience. Yesterday, I realized my rear tire was losing pressure fast. I have a warranty on my tires so I wasn't worried. Went to one GY and they were independently owned so they couldn't honor my warranty. I called Lionel at this location and he was so helpful. He was willing to stay a little later so I could bring my car but told him I would just wait til the next day. I had my car towed to the location. Lionel called me when it arrived and kept me abreast during the entire process. He was very helpful. They were very quick and gave me timeline expectations. Christopher Newberry was my service guy. He sat in my car talking on his phone in the parking lot before he even got started. He didn't top off my fluids and he said my car needed work that it didn't. I took my car to another mechanic and my transmission fluid was low. He also didn't top off my windshield wiper cleaning solution . I wouldn't take my bike to them. I feel as though I was robbed. BEWARE!!! read more

To Whom It May Concern, I sent an online email about this previously and did not receive a response. I visited store #2135 on 01/22/22 for an oil change and an all points inspection because I was taking a long distance drive. I was advised that both could be done. I left my car and came back to pick it up. I asked about the all points inspection recommendations and the older African American male advised that everything looked good. I asked for a copy of the inspection report and I was advised that the report was attached to my receipt. I went home and sat down to look over the inspection and there was no report attached. I called the store and spoke to the same man who became very nasty with me. He said he was going to look for the report and call me back. He slammed the phone down. I have never received a phone call back nor did I expect to receive one. Your staff lies to customers and put their lives in danger. All inspection reports are a part of the customer's computer profile and are printed and given to the customer. There was no need for him to look for anything. He said this to get me off the phone. The staff appear to be very stressed about servicing vehicles due to lack of staff. I went to this store four times to drop off my car for the above stated service and was told three times that they were too busy to take my car. They reluctantly took my car on the fourth time. I do not know what has happened to the Goodyear name but as far as I am concerned, it is TRASH. I looked you up online and could not believe the amount of money you are paid to be CEO. It is mind boggling. It does not take that amount of money for anyone to live comfortably. Maybe this is why the company is suffering so much. Some of the money you are paid could go towards hiring additional staff. Meanwhile your reviews and complaints online are horrible while you milk all the money out of the company. Visited this location several years ago as I put little yearly mileage on my vehicle. 2 weeks ago I had to replace 2 tires on my truck. They put the rear on the front when I was informed they had sold me expired tires which is actually legal although dangerous. I was told they would order 2 more for when I return soon to replace the other 2 because the existing tires are dry rotted. No they're not. Well the other day I had a stick in the tread and they wouldn't plug it for me for free or at all ?! Customer service is disgusting and they admittedly sell dangerous expired tires. After 30 years Goodyear has lost my business and anyone else's I can convince. read more

I didn't actually use the service here...while visiting, I went in with a friend of mine who was bringing her car in for the 2nd time to check on why her windshield washer fluid was leaking. She was pretty upset because she thought they hadn't serviced it well when she brought it in. Manager Mike Bernard is the reason for this 5 star review. He assured her that he would get to the botttom of her problem. Indeed he did. He found a hair line crack in her reservoir. He took a picture of it to show her and explained what the process would be to fix it. The cost was just to high. I really appreciated his easy disposition, his attentiveness to her satisfaction as a customer, and making sure she understood the problem and her options. Because of Mike Bernard's superb customer service, and professionalism I would definitely consider taking my car here. read more

I hate auto places, and this was just what I expected. A constant battle to not have them upsell you on everything. It is extremely difficult to say "no," as everytime you say "no, I don't want that," they go through about three coupon offers to try and get you to buy it. I just want to feel like the people at an auto store are trying to help me, not screw me over. That certainly was not the case here. read more

Great work. I have taken my truck here for oil changes for the past few months. They do a quick job and everything is done properly. The best part is the free inspection. They tell me everything that needs to be done to my truck and also give me a time frame of when it needs to be done by. If I don't want to have them do it, they tell me what parts I need and where to get them. I had them fix my air pump and emergency cutoff switch. They even replaced my windshield wipers for a cheaper price than I could get at Walmart. 10/10 will continue to come back. read more

Thought it would have been a good idea to take my car to a place I was familiar with. Goodyear in New York was one of the best places with great service. Took my car here in McDonough for an inspection but got some shitty service that almost cost me my life. Guy said that there was nothing wrong with my car when I clearly told them there was a noise coming from the wheelwell but since the service was free they didn't seem to come up with anything. The next day my rack and pinion broke when I was driving home from dropping my kids to school. Talk about service... Thanks alot Goodyear. #kissmyass. read more

I went to get an oil change, and my cabin/engine air filters replaced. I get a call about an hour later, telling me that they have my engine cover, and asked when I can come by to get it put back on. After that, I'm driving on the interstate and hear a strange whistling sound. I call them, and they tell me to stop by. Turns out the cover over my filter wasn't screwed on right causing the sound, so I made 3 trips today in total, to this location. Major inconvenience. I know it wasn't intentional, but slow down, and get things done right the first time. My gas, mileage, and time were taken today. read more

This place is not to be trusted. We took a jeep here with a piece of metal in the side of the tire. The employee came out and said we would definitely need to purchase a new tire since apparently you cannot patch a hole in the side. We took it to Tire South in McDonough and they pulled out the metal and showed there wasn't even a hole in the inner tire. Thank goodness we checked with an honest tire business. Clearly, this Goodyear wanted money and would have probably even sold our perfectly good tire to someone else. What happened to honest business? Today I received what I like to call exceptional customer service by Mike Bernard the Store Manager at the McDonough location. I initially went in for oil change and new brake pads and was pleasantly greeted by Mike. He was professional and thorough as he later spoke and updated every customer on the status of our vehicles which I appreciated. Twenty four hour later I noticed a leak of blue windows wiper fluid in my driveway, I returned to shop next day and was told by another front desk associate that there was no hole in my wiper container and problem was resolved. Twenty four hours later I called back and spoke with Mike and after a thorough investigation he identified a hole and provided a picture which identified location of the crack. He then provided several options, ensured the tank was filled under the level of the crack and showed me the headlight sprayers which I did not know existed. Because of Mike's excellent customer service and genuine concern I will continue services at this location. This gentlemen is an asset to Goodyear company and I highly recommend this location. read more

Took car in for oil change and was advised by Assistant Manager Chris that a serious brake problem had been found. He took the time to explain the problem, discuss my options and recommend a short term and long term repair plan. The brake problem could have caused a serious accident had it not been identified and repaired. GREAT customer service!! Convenient location. Good value for dollars spent. Bought brand new tires 12 months ago with 30,000 mile warranty. All four are cracked and appear to be dry rotting and they claim the warranty doesn't apply because there's not enough tread left on the tires to even prorate them. Apparently they don't feel the need to be helpful at all or to honor warranties or defective tires. I would advise anyone to shop at Discount Tires instead.
