went here for 1 tire and alignment. ended up being quoted ~$1600 for 2 tires, alignment, and extra services that they said I absolutely needed to be able to get the tires and alignment I went next door and was able to get the two tires and alignment for ~$500. extra services not needed. crooks here trying to make an extra dollar. read more

On 7-20-2025 we dropped my wife's vehicle off to get the tires rotted due to that where we bought her tires we dropped it off at 10:40am and 1 1/2 hrs later her vehicle still hasn't been serviced they only had 1 tech working and the manager was very rude to both of us this makes 2 times that this store has not been as good as it should this will be the last time we use this store for anyone else that thinks of using this location I highly recommend not using this store read more

I respect the girl who was doing maintenance on my car because she was being honest about the situation. The guy clerk didn't want to tell me about the situation as she warned him about a bolt that is missing out of the strut bar. Something simple like that was easy too tell, but he told her don't say nothing about it. (Lord blessed us with ears these days, but I left it alone) As long as you find honest people working on your car... you will always have customers. On the other side of things, prices are higher than a Rick James song! Poor service from Pep Boys on Hwy 20 in Conyers, Ga. The service manager Jaime was extremely unprofessional. My window was shattered after hours and they sent me home with the vehicle in that condition. They also charged me $110 after having my car for a week and insisted I pay over $900 for a fuel pump replacement. They waited an entire day before making me aware of the damages. What can be done? I've been without my car for days and it's in worse shape than when I brought it there. Jaime even asked my if I knew what was wrong with the car why did I bring it in. I had a low tire pressure light come on and I was about 5 hours from leaving to the airport for a flight. I was worried I needed a new tire, but I got to Pep Boys about 20 minutes after they opened. They got me in right away and I had a nail in the tire. They were able to patch it and I was on my way within the hour. This is my second time coming with an appointment for an oil change. The first time, it took over 2 hours to get my oil changed. This time, it took over an hour not including the 30 minutes my car was sitting in front of the entrance after the oil change. Both times only 2 people were waiting. What concerns me most is how they always try to get over on me. Literally every time I come, they attempt to charge me extra for what should've only been a conventional oil change. I'm not sure it got from $24 to $40. My oil light was going off even though the sticker they gave me said that I wasn't due for one, for another 1,000 miles. I'll just stick with my mechanic in DeKalb. They're good with trying to make more money off of you though. read more

They never have the tires I use in stock, even though they are a regular tire, they lie about issues that your car may be having in order to trick you into replacing items that don't need service, their prices are off the charts and the staff is more interested in being on the iPhones and snubbing the clients for more money. Outstanding and fast, friendly service! My experience at this Pep Boys was 5 star plus!!! David was great...I needed an oil change and tires rotated and I also asked to check my brakes. Unlike most auto services David bent over backwards to explain the full evaluation of my Expedition and advised me to wait and get my brakes serviced at my next oil change- -nowadays what auto service does that, they usually make up services you don't need. I have a 2010 Toyota 4 runner. New brakes have been a challenge. Pep boys have put on 3 sets in 6 months trying to get rid of the squeal and shaking. I will never come to this place again. I pulled up to this place because I went over a bump in my weatherstrip came off so it was missing some screws in at the time somebody had just a zip tied it for me to get over there. When I pulled up one of the workers came out he was a black man very nice great customer service I told him the issue. Karen was like OK yeah we can go ahead and put a couple of tax into there just a hold it because the car is getting traded it. I didn't need anything spectacular so he said just go in and tell them what's going on I'll go ahead and fix it. I go in when I go in there are three people at the desk two white men and one white lady they did not speak to me at all I walked in I said hello and they said hi then they look like they didn't even want to help me so I told him the situation. And then one of the white men say you need to go out there and look at it because we probably won't even do that it's funny to me that you're saying that because the other man had already said he can do it. So the white man came outside He came and looked at my car and said oh no we can't do that the flap is already broke I'm like you can see right there all you have to do is put a couple screws in it oh no we can't do that I said how can you not do it when you're not to Worker to Worker looked at it and said he can take care of it but we can't take care of it. What do you know what screw you all I would never come back here again the customer service was already trash and they were rude when I'm done I'll make sure nobody I know will step foot in that place read more

I am new to the area and have experience with auto shops. The presentation on this auto shop was excellent and the people at the front desk were well mannered. One of the first things I want to know is the hourly rate that is charged for labor as that is normally going to be your highest costs. I was quoted on 09/24/2018 $130 for labor. I told them that was very expensive for a labor rate and I was told that it wasn't and the car dealers in the area charge $120-$125 an hour. I responded that they were more expensive than the dealership and that didn't make sense. I was then told that they were in the "Metro-Atlanta" area. If getting great service at a high costs is important to you this might be your place. If you are looking for reasonable rates with great service, I am new to the area and looking for that location still. read more

While on a long weekend in Conyers, I noticed that my brakes were not working as well as they should. I was having some vibration problems during stopping. I took my vehicle to Pep Boys and wanted to have a Brake Job done. They made an appoint for the next morning. Went in for the appointment about 20 minutes early, and they start right to work on the car. During the brake inspection, the rotors could not be turned. They were very accurate on their estimate of what it would take to fix things. A problem that I knew existed with tires (that they needed to be replaced soon), was worse than I had expected. One of the tires was actually showing cord, and was potentially putting me at risk for a blow out. (While some could see this as an opportunity to add on to a sale, I took it as looking out for my safety first). I went ahead and ordered 4 new tires. Within about 2 hours, they had the brake job completed, new tires mounted, balanced, and a front end alignment performed. Jason, Andy, and Richard were very professional in the way that they took care of me. While I was about 400+ miles away from home, I was treated as if I were someone local. I didn't get the impression that because of being from out of town was an indication that I could be taken advantage of. Again, the crew was very professional in performing their tasks in getting my car fixed. The store was clean, and I even saw that one of the techs was sweeping the flooring during the morning to keep the shop clean. Fresh coffee was available during the visit. The only negatives that I have are: it was a bit on the cold side when we got there. However, it did warm up and became comfortable. (Being there first thing in the morning, I was expecting a cold environment. With doors opening all day and hot out, I knew it would adjust). As a tech-savvy person, it would have been nice to have wireless internet access. Being there for about 2 hours waiting, I could have passed the time easier with the net connection. Great job guys. I took my truck to Pep Boys for engine diagnostics and Sam greeted me. I explained what needed to be done to my truck and what I had done myself to fix the situation. Sam explained what the diagnostics would check and how long it would take. My truck was in and out within the time I was told. Sam went over what needed to be repaired, the parts they needed to order from the dealership and when they would have everything. The cost of the engine diagnostics was put towards the final bill. My truck is fixed, passed emissions testing and has gotten registered. Highly recommend. read more

I got my car a month ago at a local dealership.i went in to get my oil changed which i didnt need an oil change and my check engine light was on. After i got my oil changed they said i needed an air filter which i paid for.after i got my oil changed my car was fine.a week or too after i got my oil changed my oil pressure sensor came on so i take it back to the same shop.they tell me i need a new thermostat so i go to drive my car that Saturday and cant drive it.i was told my oil and fluids were fine the previous week.i get it towed to this shop and they fix the two problems i had.so now i call up there and they tell me that i have a coolant leak which i didn't have at all when i got the car.i got my car towed august 11,2019 and its now August 17,2019 and my car has yet to be fixed.i been calling then every day since my car had been in the shop and nobody seems to give me a time or date to get my car.for a month i haven't had any issues besides minor things with my car and i didn't have a coolant leak when i got my car.so now i have been without a car for a week as of today and im highly upset.why should i have to pay for something that i didn't mess up on my own car? Why should i pay for something that this shop messed up? All i want is my car back and i haven't gotten that so now im wasting money on getting to work when im paying a car note smh. Let me first say that before I began frequenting Pep Boys to service my car, I used to hear some not so favorable reviews of their service. However, I took a leap of faith a few months ago and have yet to regret it. Every single time I come to Pep Boys, this location or otherwise, someone surprises me and goes above and beyond the call of duty. I came here a few months ago to purchase a new set of tires for my car. Not only did they have the best price in town, but they include a limited warranty (if you sign up online). Also, what sold me on purchasing the tires was the customer service. I had originally planned to just purchase a used set of tires for the time being from a place across town. When I went to the place I was ignored while the mechanics tried to "holla" at a few girls who came in. SO I sauntered over to PB. So glad I did. I got my tires as well as a complimentary alignment without even asking. The most recent visit I came to get a tire plugged (I ran over something and it pierced the tire....I know, tragic) and my name couldn't be found in the system. I was waiting to hear how much I'd have to pay, but next thing I know I'm being called around to get my car. I'm handed the keys and told to have a great day. I paid nothing, they took care of it for me. Can we say gratitude? Like I said, any time I come, someone bends over backward for me. My car arrived at this Pep Boys location on Sunday around 1PM. Larry kindly greeted me, took my information, and had a mechanic DIAGNOSE my car's problem. Quickly, I was given an ESTIMATE to fix the car and upon my approval, work began. I was far away from home and Larry assured me my car could and would be drivable by 4PM. He hunted down parts that were not available at the shop and had them delivered. Pronto! My car was FIXED and I was on my way. The shop was clean. The staff was professional. On the previous advice of Clarence, one of the mechanics at this store, I thought it best to have my serpentine belt replaced before traveling out-of-town to Florida for my aunt's funeral. The staff had the job done in record time! Unfortunately, during the same trip, my father passed away. This entailed much more driving. I was so glad that I could have 100 % confidence in the staff and the work done at this store! The last thing I needed to worry about at that time was having to second guess whether the work was done properly. With this store, I know I can always have confidence and I was right.
