Never have I left an auto repair shop filled with such overwhelming love and gratitude. I've had my car in for oil level issues 3 times in the last couple months and as soon as I set off for a 4 month stint away from home (for a gig that requires mucho driving), the oil level issue returned! Luckily, my hotel is surrounded by mechanics galore and my intuition lead me straight to ASW for it's family-owned vibe. Do not be scared away by it's presentation. These guys are incredibly personable and passionate about what they do, not to mention the owner's involvement in the well-being of the city on whole - with numerous small businesses in town. I was encouraged to watch and understand the issue with my car and I left feeling empowered to take charge of my car's health in the future, without relying on the (often dishonest) assessments of mechanics. And the prices were SO reasonable and totally transparent. I will definitely be going back to them for anything else that needs doing before returning to my home in Savannah after this job and I really wish I could take them with me! Our car broke down while we were visiting from out of state. We were really in a bind, not sure who to trust in the area. These guys came through for us. Transparent pricing, great communication about the problem, and the owner had us back on the road the same day. My husband said he wishes we lived closer just to have access to these mechanics. This is the only shop that I will trust beyond a shadow of a doubt when it comes to car repairs. The owner is a very trust-worthy long time family friend and even so, I've seen him interact with other customers and he does not waste anyone's time with BS or telling you that, well, I know you came in for an oil change, but you seriously need a new transmission etc. I had my 2009 Journey in for some serious engine problems. After 6 hours of working on it, Vinny found that it was actually a grounded wire in the dashboard. That saved me tons of money and a sigh of relief! The shop is overcrowded with cars and there isn't a place to sit, but this is definitely worth the drive if you don't want to second guess whether or not you and your wallet isn't getting taken for a drive! read more

I promise do not deal this man. He took the air out of my lines for my S500 and said I needed new air shocks. I told him I have new shocks he insisted I needed new shocks which would cost 7 hundred a piece. I than had my car towed to my regular mechanic and all it needed was tightening of a bolt. My mechanic told me he took air out of lines to make it seem like it was shocks. Also if you have new parts on your vehicle make sure he doesn't replace with old. read more

I have been a client of VSW for 3 years . I learned of Vinny through my granddaughter she is in college and drives quite a distance when she travels home. Vinny keeps her car in good condition and is always affordable .He also takes care of my sons cars. Vinny takes care of my car and truck keeps them in great condition. I have never had to take them back because the work was poorly done. He always explains clearly what needs to be done in a language that I understand and his price has always been reasonable. I am new to the area and went to this shop to get work done. I was surprised by the presentation as it appeared to be a junk yard. I drove up hoping to get an oil change but decided to back out and didn't get any service completed. I would hope that an auto shop would take care on their presentation and would advice others not to use their time driving to a destination if any sort of professional appearance was important to them. On the other hand please keep in mind that the people in here could be fantastic and maybe their customers service is extremely great. read more
