PLEASE READ This place will scam you. I will tell you my story. All I needed was a new power steering pump, hose, and new motor mounts. They tried to charge me $1900 for the job. Guess what I did. I took my car back. I bought all of the necessary parts I needed for $170 off of Amazon, and now a mobile mechanic is gonna put in the parts for me for $450. So in total the job is really around $600 LMAO That's a $1300 discount. Do yourself a favor and do what I did. THEY ARE RIPPING IGNORANT & VULNERABLE PEOPLE OFF. If i could give a negative i would. I took my car in for a wheel alignment and a front passenger tire on 10/19/2023. I just brought the car so i have a warranty on it. Took them two days to get the ok to fix my car. I was then told that my oil gasket needed repair. I am not sure why but the warranty said ok to fix on the claim. After being told my car would be returned to me the next day five different times. Today on 10/23/23, i was just told that my car now needed an airbox it got broken somehow and they have ordered the part but they no longer have an estimate about when my car would be repaired. did i mention that after the second day of having my new car that they reported an extra 150 miles on my vehicle to the warranty department. Customer beware! My 17 year old son took his car in for a diagnostic check because it was running hot and they told him it would be $775 for them to replace the radiator and hoses. We called around and got some comparison quotes and a shop down the street gave us a quote that was $250 cheaper. But this wasn't the major issue. The major issue is that after the other shop started to work on the vehicle they noticed that I didn't need to replace the radiator at all! It only costed us $140! BEWARE: Store #1565 in Conyers, GA off Salem Road is the absolute worst!!! In November 2021, I paid $100 for an oil change on my 2013 VW Beetle with a diesel engine and by Jan 2022 my engine malfunctioned! When I tell you as I'm writing this I have tears in my eyes! After being rendered unemployed because of not having a vehicle to get to work, I am beyond stressed! Finally I received some advice and I took my car to Stone Mountain VW dealership March 2022 to evaluate the car to see if my engine malfunction could be covered under my VW warranty. When VW did my inspection they said my engine is still covered under warrantee because of the mileage, however, because the engine failure was inspite of the last company (Pep Boys) who did my oil change whose negligence to properly service my vehicle causing engine failure, they were unable to repair/replace my engine despite it being covered under warrantee. Apparently, after VW did their inspections they found that my codes read that there is high pressure in my engine bank compartment and they sent me pictures of obvious signs that my engine was over flooded with oil and quite obviously my filter was never changed which also had metal shavings in the filter indicating signs of engine damage. (Pictures below.) --- FYI: VW Stone Mountain were the nicest and very empathetic to my situation. Rachel is the Best! Anyway, after consultation with VW service dept, I contacted Pep Boys in April 2022. It took 2 weeks to finally hear from Pep Boys claims department. Then it took Pep Boys another 3 weeks to get one of their 3rd party inspectors to go and inspect the vehicle. Fast forward to end of May 2022 (5 months later), after their so called "full inspection" they denied my claim because they are not claiming any fault and they did everything they were supposed to do and my car was 1K miles past "their" recommended scheduled oil change!!!! It's been exactly 1 week and 4 days and I still have not received the full report I requested of Pep Boys claims dept that includes the findings detailing their reasons for denial versus the flimsy 2 sentence denial letter they furnished me with! That denial letter is the biggest crock of donkey dung I've ever seen in my life! Question1: How many people dont change their oil exactly on the mile recommendations and wind up with a broken engine in 2.5 months after getting a oil change???? Question 2: How is Pep Boys in the business of car maintenance/oil change and they hire attendees who don't know how to do simple oil changes, but then see obvious signs of mishandling and its not your fault??? New Filter + Change Oil = Oil Change (duh!) Fast forward to today being 7 months and 1 day since I took my car to Pep Boys store #1565 for a simple $100 oil change and I have no car! Listen to me clearly people....DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ANY PEP BOYS-- ESPECIALLY PEP BOYS #1565!!! What was supposed to be a simple oil change costs me my job, my livelihood and multitudes of stress and money! Advise: For a peace of mind... I went to this pep boys for a full diagnostic's, which they did not do. Check engine light was on for an evap leak they made me buy a $50 gas cap n turned my light off which stayed off for a few days then came right back on, they claimed they did a smoke test to check for leaks the first time and would retry it again because the first guy who started didn't finish because he had to go on break. Been back twice just for them to tell me to Google how to turn the light off myself or try buying something from an automotive store myself I left with my check engine light still on and no real answers why. I was flabbergasted when they tried to just send me to the dealership to "get them to clear the code" as if the dealership doesn't have the same equipment as them. I took my 2015 Nissan Altima which stalled once. The car only has about 38,000 miles. I was told I needed a new battery and an alternator. I paid $752.00. I should have asked for the old alternator because I was told by Nissan that unless my alternator was defective, it should have lasted longer. This was in the middle part of March 2019. I just have a bad feeling I was duped because the rep didn't mention that my alternator was defective. If the owner could check this out, I'd appreciate it. I'm so pleased with my experience. Easter Sunday I just so happened to get a flat tire. Luckily I was only a mile away from pep boys and they were open! I was worried on Easter EVERYTHING would be closed. Thankfully, not. My good luck ended there. My flat was not repairable. I needed a new tire and they didn't carry the specific brand I needed. Bummer. Regardless the staff was super friendly, they threw the donut on there and I was on my way. These guys are all really nice and speedy. They were quick to help and seemed to be rapidly working in the vehicles in the shop. read more

This is the worst pep boys location I have been to. I set up an appointment and they decided to make me wait an extra hour. At first he said he didn't see it and I said I had the email and text then he found it, but he still put the woman who walked in car before mine. When you set an appointment expectations is for it to be honored. I asked for my keys and they didn't apologize or give a damn. Customer service there definitely sucks, they could have communicated that they was busy could you reschedule or hey it's gonna be a hour we apologize. I received nothing I in a hour of waiting and I was being nice cause I had time to spare. I got it oil change three months ago and when I left I had dash lights on that I did not have when I pulled in and had to find out how to reset them I return to Pep Boys three months later and got an oil change and when I left the exclamation light on my dash came on immediately I called them they said they didn't even know it was two hours later I have a screw or a nail in my brand new tire that is from Pep Boys and they ( the light skin man at the desk)refuse to listen to me or help me do not take your car to Pep Boys for anything there uneducated I don't even believe the mechanic their have a license to work on cars and I believe they sabotage your car is on purpose I didn't even want to give them a star but I had to to write a review read more

Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because past service was just below average (a couple of years ago they hit their building with my car and scraped paint). To their credit they buffed the scuff mark out and since it was an older car I thought no big deal. But I quit going to them because I always got the up sell pitch. It had been awhile and I had a slow leak in tire and car needed oil change so "why not". Dropped it off at 9:30 this morning was told it would be 3 hours. Walked a mile home since I needed exercise. Walked back up at 3:15 this afternoon and it was still parked in same spot (6 hrs) with the flat tire. I just asked them to plug the tire and forget the oil change. To the managers credit, he gave me a card for oil change...but I will never use it. read more

Been coming to this place for years always with good service, not so much anymore. today came in with an issue I didnt understand, car was squeaking when I turned the wheel. I asked for fluids to be replaced and for them to look into the squeaking. Reception guy told me the total when leaving and I asked if the squeaking had been fixed be said no and it would be an additional 800 on another day and told me the details were on the paperwork for me to look into. First, i brought my vehicle to them after the dealer said i had a leak in my main line. They said that i did not have a leak, then charged me to vacuum my system, recharge it and insert dye. 6 months later, the ac is blowing hot again. I used uv glasses with dye and saw leaks. They are liars!!! Then, before i noticed the ac leak i brought my vehicle in to them to change my fuel pump. It took the mechanic 30 min to remove the tank. The tank sat on top of a barrel for 3 hours while they wait for a part that they already had. He then took 30 more mins to reinstall the tank and they charged me for 4 hours of labor. I want to hate them for being so evil but i trust that God will destroy them at some point. "Never Again!" read more
