First let me say that my issue is not entirely service related, as to work that was done seems to be of good quality. The thing that is bothering me is the price gouging for parts and counter productive (no carry in tire mounting policy) related to my front in alignment service appointment.
After dropping my car off for a 10:00am alignment appointment I received a call from the service rep that I would need both front lower control arms and inner tie rods replaced at a cost of 1435.00. This seemed a bit high and unfortunately I was not in a position to research the cost at the time, so I gave the go ahead to do the repair. A costly mistake on my part, as I later found that the markup of the parts alone was 100%ea. OEM on the lower control arms and 300%ea. OEM on the inner tie rods.
I called the store manager to get clarification on why such a price difference and was told that the price is system generated and they have no control over it, and it also is inflated to cover the cost of the included 12/12,000 warranty on parts and labor.
So essence, I was charged an additional 440.00 to cover the possibility of an already warrantied by the manufacture parts failure, and the possible labor it would take to correct the issue if it were to occur. This just doesn't sit well with me.
Add to that they were unwilling to mount my carry in new tires needed to complete the alignment properly. This causing me to fairy my wheels two at a time to NTB for mounting and balance, further delaying the completion of the work, just leaves a bad taste of dissatisfaction.
!!!Please do your research before having any work done by this company and definitely this store!!! You will most likely save yourself a considerable amount of time and money.
