My girlfriend made an appointment ahead of time, provided her tires size and went in on the day they said to come in. They replaced her SUV tires with car tires. It was obvious the tires were smaller but they tried telling her they were correct. Not only they blamed it on the person who took the call they are telling her she have now May more for the correct size. We are going back today, I have some good friends that are lawyers and I also know how to work with the city council to provide investigation bad practices. So let's just see what happens today. I made an appointment and was able to get the same day for four new tires. I knew I also needed a wheel alignment, along with an oil change, as well. Come to find out, I also need a couple new wiper blades. I was able to get everything I needed and in a reasonable amount of time because Niq and Derrick took great care of me and my baby! Everybody I encountered was super friendly and gave me sound advice on my car. Not only is she riding like new but she feels good on the road. I came in to purchase some tires and due to a sale that was not added, I was given a voucher for $100. Of course I was not told there was an expiration and the voucher expired. The Mavis home office can see there was a voucher issued, but not used. I just do not like companies that operate in this manner. Then after leaving my car i was stalled until the middle of the next day with phone calls saying they needed more time. Save yourself and do not go here. Every time I take my car to this shop I leave with something new broken or damaged. I've trusted Mavis on Mz for years, I thought it was a coincidence. However, after getting a new car and having the same problem with this shop I can confidently say it's them. More recently they sold me bad tires, or installed them wrong. Their wearing out so fast that I need to get four tires replaced after a few months of having them. last time I brought my car in for a rotation and balance. I left with a bolt broken and now I have to get that replaced. Things I don't recognize until my next appointment but driving up the price with every visit. I just to say first and foremost "Thank you Larry for your great customer" you were exemplary under the conditions where you had to bring car up and pull them back. You had to run the front desk when i first arrived. You had to do the notifications to all the customers as to what was found wrong or right with their automobiles. I am sorry your front came late and then seem to have an attitude for checking people out(i walked to the from yhe waiting area and saw my car parked but was not told by front desk guy that i could check out. The only thing with Larry was he had to apologize more than once for having be there so long because they overlooked the nail in the tire(the reason I was there). *GO ANYWHERE ELSE* Initially, I went to the business for a wheel alignment. I was informed that by law, they could not perform the alignment because the front tire tread was too low. This led to the purchase of two new tires, which were installed on the rear, and the original rear tires were moved to the front. However, the alignment was never performed, and my truck began to shake. I returned to the business, where they discovered that the weights had fallen off due to improper calibration, and the alignment was still not performed. Approximately a month later, one of the new tires had a plug due to a nail penetration, which I believe was caused by the low quality of the tire. Even before the nail, that tire did not maintain appropriate air pressure. When I went back to the business, they attributed the issue to changes in weather. Both new tires appeared old and brown, allegedly from sitting in the sun. On the 4th of July, I woke to find one tire completely flat and sitting on the rim. Roadside assistance discovered that the tire had a faulty air valve, causing it to leak air. I returned to the business and was told that the previous manager was fired due to various issues at the location. The new manager, Johnathan, claimed that because the plugged tire was repaired at a different establishment and I did not purchase a warranty, the leak was my responsibility. I was told that due to the plug's location, I would need to buy a new tire. The other tire with the faulty air valve was not replaced; instead, they sealed the valve and left the old faulty tire on my vehicle, costing an additional $163.41 on top of the original $301.14. After returning home, I noticed a dent on the back of my truck that was not there prior (I have photos from the previous day when the roadside technician assisted with the tire). I called the business and was told to return. Upon my return, the manager claimed there was nothing at their location that could have caused the dent and questioned my integrity throughout the interaction, which began at their opening time, 8:00 AM. Their attempt to resolve the issue was to charge me for another tire and warranty while taking no accountability for the dent. I am now at a loss of $500, with a dent on my vehicle, mismatched tires, one of which is brown and damaged. read more

Got a low tire message in car while on way to doctor appointment a couple of weeks ago and stopped here. Manager helped me check all tires & put air in the low one. I didn't have time for them to put car up on rack & fully check tire but he said if it continued to have an issue to come back so he could give it a thorough inspection. Tire was fine for nearly two weeks but then I had another appointment in same area and up came the low tire message so I stopped back at Mt. Zion Mavis. They very quickly had my car in, checked all tires, sensors, etc. and there was a nail in that one tire. I called the cops and made a statement. They really need to screen the workers who works on the cars. They put a different lug nut on, that's cause my vehicle to shake. I had to bring my vehicle back twice before they got it right. If I had known they had a law suit a few years back, I would not have went there. Total scam artists! They deserve no stars whatsoever. Had my front brake pads and rotors changed to prevent car from shaking while braking. Fast forward 6mths and the shaking returns. Bought tires at Mavis location elsewhere so this was the place of choice to have tires checked. Arrived when opening on 9/21/21 and was told they had no workers and it'd be about 2 hours minimum before anyone could check my tires. Asked to borrow a gauge to check tires myself and was refused. Mr.Bobby is the guy he makes sure he takes care of you as if you were his family member driving a car. I came in for 4 tires, he suggested I change my rotors cause they had hot spots and gashes in them as well. So, I did. Which we knew either that or breaks. I came to Mavis and was told by Bobby to come back tomorrow at 7:45 am for an oil change. Came back the next day only to find out they didn't have the oil so they had to wait until someone brought it. I'm not sure why Bobby told me to come back if they didn't have the oil! Took 3 hours to do an oil change! 2 hours after getting home I come outside to a driveway full of oil. I called Mavis corporate and they sent someone to have the car towed back to Mavis to fix it! This left me without a vehicle for the whole day due to what I thought was a simple oil change. I was told the drain plug needed to be replaced and the issue was fixed! 2 days later I come outside and yet again I have a good bit of oil leaking from my car! I took the vehicle back and was told this can happen if you overfilled the oil! Why would you overfill it ? Do not take your car here! It won't be a pleasant experience! Over priced and under performed. I asked and was assured that tire rotation was part the service. My tires were not rotated. I called back to ask why and was told that costs $20. The receptionist and mechanics were too busy selling me wipers to listen. The cost for rotating was more than the upsell for wipers and no one there wanted that $20. I had two tires placed on my car at the Decatur location and service was great. I called the Morrow location prior to me going and spoke with a young lady who stated she was the manager. I told her I had purchased two tires at the Decatur location and was very pleased with the ties and service. I wanted to purchase two more times at this location. The manager stated, she had four tires at this location. She assured me they were in. I arrived at approximately 2:30 pm, to purchase the tires. I sat in the waiting room with back problems and in pain. I asked a young lady a approximately 5:10 pm, are they going to be getting to my car soon, prior to closing at 5:30pm. The young lady advised me that, they don't closed until 6:00 pm, and they will be getting to me. At approximately 5:45 pm, I was advised that the store did not have my tires in. After I sat there for all of this time. Wow!!!! I asked for the phone number of the district manager and was not given it. I can't believe this is the way service is handled at this location. I've been to this location 3 times since they changed from NTB to Mavis. I will never return. Back in May, I got a new set of tires and the person behind the counter tried to get me to buy new brakes and rotors. I did not need them then, and my brakes are still just fine. Having them try to sell me a product/service I did not need should have been enough for me not to return. Fast forward to 2 days ago. I gave them another chance and got an oil change and tire rotation. The company closed 2 hours early for NYE. No one notified me of this, nor did anyone call when the service was complete. I called customer service to attempt to find out if I could get my car before the weekend was over. I went to pick it up today, and was greeted by the person at the front desk saying "oh you're the one causing all the trouble." Apparently he had been reprimanded for not notifying me when my car was ready. He proceeded to let me know that his manager threatened to write him up and he told me that he had wanted to find out where I live to "handle the situation." He attempted to charge me double the price of the oil change. I refused to pay and he rung me up for the correct price. He then told me to take out my phone and give him a 5 star Google review or he wouldn't give me my key. He refused to give me my car key and pretended to look for something/rummage through papers/clown around for a few minutes before finally giving me my key. I guess this oil change came with new wiper blades because he handed me a pair, in the package, he didn't install them. He was ridiculously silly, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I will certainly never return to any Mavis location if this is how they treat their customers. P.S. Yelp says that masks are required. This star is only here for the courtesy and professionalism of the employees I dealt with day of for service. I booked a tire installation reservation online at a price that I assumed would be transitioned to the store, but it was not. After getting a receipt for the service and installation of one tire, I reviewed the pricing and noticed a discrepancy from what I seen online. Brought it to the attention of both employees that assisted and they agreed that something was off, my information was taken and a conversation with the manager would be had, and a call back the following day was to be expected. No call back received the next day. I decided to visit the store today and see what the problem was in regard to the price difference. I attempted to explain the situation to the person up front, who I discovered was the manager of this location. The attitude of the manager was VERY subpar. If a customer brings a situation that occurred with your employees while you were not present, the least you could do is listen first and respond appropriately after. Being over-talked and given attitude for no apparent reason is very unprofessional. He agreed there was a price discrepancy but for a lesser amount. There was not a resolution met, instead he preferred to argue with me back and forth about what was clearly an incorrect system issue with pricing. I was offered cash, I declined since it was the incorrect amount, and called customer service who resolved the issue appropriately with a voucher for the corrected amount I was owed. I would never recommend for anyone visit this location. Sad, but management needs some intensive customer relations training, being sassy is not a favorable behavior for business. read more

I purchased 4 tires from this location back in April 2021 and was pleased with my purchase and the service at that time. I also purchased the warranty that comes with the purchase. A few months ago I had a nail in my tire so I went back to Mavis and had it repaired since I had the warranty. No problems then. Was in and out within like 30 mins! This past week the same tire has been slowly loosing air so I go back today to have them look. Was told since it was repaired once I would need a new tire but they didn't have the same one ok fine no problem they put another one on. Go to check out and the lady says my total. I said wait I have a warranty. She apologized and said oh that's right. I still have to pay for balancing and labor. I had no issues with that. Then she proceeds to ask me where I got the tire plugged before at. I said I came here. She said oh no you couldn't have because we don't plug tires!! I said nicely to her I came here and wouldn't go anywhere else as I have a warranty. She then states we don't plug here we patch and your tire was plugged. I said to her I came here and I don't know what the man did months ago because he didn't tell me. He just said they would fix it back then. I don't know the difference between plug and patch honestly. She then says we don't even have a plug kit back there. I then said to her are you saying I'm lying?? She quickly says I didn't say those words, I didn't call you a liar, but she surely did. You don't have to say the words you insinuated that I am lying. She then goes to the back and wheels my old tire out to me and says looks this is a plug. We don't plug tires here!! Once again going back and forth with me. I know where I got my tire fixed the first time and it was here. I purchased the warranty for this reason so I could come here to get it fixed for free since I bought the warranty!!! As a loyal customer at this location for over 10 years I did not appreciate her insinuating I was lying to her or her bringing the tire out to say look your lying this is a plug!! I do not know what was done to my tire when I brought it months ago to get it fixed but I know I brought it here!! Mavis you have lost a loyal customer! I had just checked prices for 4 new tires for my sons F150 and was setting up to get it done this weekend but now I will NOT be back!! It's really sad because I have been going there for several years and gotten many services done to my vehicles.
