I'm back to leave more glowing remarks for Grayzer. I recently decided to make the transition from brewing with propane burners to electric elements and needed to have a 240V 30A outlet installed in the garage to make this happen. After realizing that it would a fairly expensive addition requiring a new run all the way from the main breaker box I mentioned the existing dryer outlet that we do not use and they quickly came up with an alternate plan to shutter that outlet and use than line, extending it to the garage at a much lower cost. Brock was our installer and he arrived right on time, was super friendly and professional, walked me through the entire install, and gave me a couple of options that will allow for future expandability at no additional cost. The project was quickly completed exactly as expected. Love these guys! 7/28/2018 Extremely happy with our choice to go with Grayzer Electric after getting estimates from several companies to run a dedicated line for a hot tub we recently purchased. The delivery date for our hot tub got pushed 4-5 times over the course of a couple of months requiring us to reschedule with Grayzer over and over again. I felt horrible about this, but not once did they seem even the slightest bit put out by it. Once the hot tub finally did arrive, the technicians (Max & Todd) showed up right on time and got to work. I just moved into a new home, and the previous owners had some remodeling done that was of questionable quality. The way things were wired up caused a breaker to repeatedly short out. These guys did a good job of removing and replace if a light fixed over my kitchen island. They removed the old fixture carefully so I was able to donate it to Habitat for Humanity. They were patient with me when we figured out that the new fixture I wanted installed wouldn't fit the outlets on my ceiling. (It was not the size stated on the box.) They had already removed the old fixture for me when we discovered this, so they came back when my replacement fixture arrived. If I could I would give them 10 stars on a scale of one to five! Over the years I have worked with a different number of electricians first for my condo then for my single family home. Of all these electricians, Grayzer Electric is hands down THE BEST!! I will hire them again in a heartbeat. They will be my go-to electrician going forward. I needed four recessed ceiling lights installed in my study, and the replacement of a pantry light that had gone out, as well as four new outlets installed. I emailed Grayzer Electric and received a very timely response. From there the technician asked me to send him pictures of my slopped ceiling of my study, and he promptly emailed me back with his images suggesting where to put the ceiling lights. We exchanged a couple of emails on which kind of trims to choose and the email correspondence is always prompt, courteous, and professional. The day before the appointment they emailed me with details about the upcoming appointment, and on the day of the appointment the electrician called me about 20 minutes beforehand to notify me of his arrival. The technician was very professional and very knowledgeable. Upon his recommendation we made some last minute changes to the trim of the bulbs. He spent 7 hours working at my house that day without a lunch break! And, he was able to figure out the problem with the pantry light - a problem that a previous electrician I hired was not able to figure out - it was a door switch that went bad. This review is long overdue as I had Grayzer come out months ago - better late than never! Grayzer is my electrician of choice for any job at my house till the end of time. That's right - End. Of. Time. I have had Grayzer out to my house twice and have used Max for both jobs. They always complete the job perfectly, quickly, and at a good cost. They give you the option of either buying Paris from them and paying for the labor, or you can buy your own parts and just pay for labor. I have had to do both and absolutely zero complaints. They sell their parts at close to the same price as me buying them at the Big Box stores, so I don't mind just getting out from them from here on out. For the first job, my wife and I wanted to install can lights in the living room. Max came out, offered his recommendation on placement and spacing and it looks great. This electrician replied in great detail about some items I had from Inspection on a house we bought (which I had emailed his office for perusal). He told me what was important to do and what wouldn't really make any difference since the home was built in the 70's. We had a tricky installation job for an EV charger (electrical service is on the opposite side of the garage) and wanted someone up to the task. Grayzer is often recommended by those in the EV community so we gave them a shot. Dan came out and gave us an estimate. He spent quite a while talking through the various challenges and options. (This is a 60+ y/o house with multiple add-ons and weird roof lines.) They were fast to get a quote together and answered any questions I had via email promptly. Installation Day came a couple weeks later. Here's how it went down. Max the electrician first went and uninstalled our EV charger from our old house and got that capped off and looking great. Then he came and got his first look at the installation site. I asked him if he had been properly mentally and emotionally prepared for this job. He had not. We walked around and surveyed everything together and I relayed in more detail what the office folks had left in the notes for him. (If there's any room for improvement, this is where I would recommend to them to have an electrician try to do an on-site review with the sales guy on more difficult installs prior to giving the estimate just so everyone is on the same page from the beginning.) Anyway, back to Max. Once we all realized there really was no way to do this but the hard way, he and his teammate (I'm sorry I forget his name) got started. He was rather concerned that they were going to have to make some holes in sheetrock inside the house, but I assured him that I knew that was going to be likely and not to worry about it. I was prepared for that. They battled wasps, the TX summer heat, squeezed into tiny attic spaces, and ran a line up through multiple attics full of who-knows-what, along peaked rooflines and across the whole house to the garage. I busied myself around the house with other stuff that was going on and before I knew it, Max said they were done. It took several hours but I was actually surprised how quickly they got it done. The charger is right where I asked them to put it in the garage and appears to be working. (I haven't had a chance to actually use it yet but they assured me to just let them know if I have any issues.) The holes in the sheetrock are small and neatly replaced and screwed in so that it should be easy to tape/float/paint. The new breaker was neatly labeled in one of the many panels we have. (Did I mention we have like 7 or 8 different electrical panels and sub panels, none of which are clearly labeled?!...super fun.) So all-in-all, considering the materials cost, time, and challenge of the job, I think the cost was in line from what I had heard from other jobs.
