I have heard numerous times that the kitchen and bar has black mold growing. I am sure it is in the upmost convenience of the company to not inspect this as it would more than likely shut the establishment down and/or cost them a fortunate. The food is subpar, blegh. An interesting place. The menu is pretty standard pub food, but with a serious Indian twist. Lots of Curries, Chutneys, and Tandoori stuffed into the everyday stuff. I had the Drunken Dip and upgraded from chips to Onion Rings. The Onion Rings could've been a meal unto themselves. Definitely knife and fork material. They were very good, too, but were pretty oily. Fix that and these would be a solid 10. The sandwich was fair. A little smaller than I had hoped, but quality ingredients. The flavor was kind of like a Barbacoa beef and the bread was a good blend of crunchy and soft. The Au Jus was my least favorite part as it just didn't have a beefy enough flavor and didn't really compliment the sandwich. The staff was very attentive, and for being 11:30 on a Friday it was pretty empty. The décor is nice but there were a few Hipster red flags (like Hamm's beer. Hamm's hasn't been popular since telephone switchboards were prevalent and PBR has become too mainstream for society's most obnoxious demographic, so Hamm's is the new gold standard), which is a bit of a turnoff. It's certainly worth a return visit, providing I don't have to fight through ironically mustached, flannel-clad, "men" in women's pants. read more

Great take on food. The chef understand not only the flavors in British cooking, but as well as how it needs to translate to a midwest palette. Great beer selection, but they have a full bar if your not a beer fanatic. Serves was attentive and nice. read more

I had the Maitake Mushroom Vindaloo. Extremely good and right amount of spices. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They served some complementary chutney that was really flavorful as well. The drink list was very creative and it would take me months of visits to try all of the combinations. Good food and excellent selection and variety of beer. Service was very good, waitress had a lot of knowledge of the beer selections. We had the drunken dip sandwich (excellent) and the indian stir fry (good, a little on the spicy side). Hard to decide what to order for drinks so we opted for a sampler racks of local brews and were pleased with the choice. If you're interested in sampling a wide variety of brews this is your place. read more

One more fantastic meal at Graydon's Crossing. Tonight the special was a duck breast with a jalapeño sauce, okra with mint and red peppers and for dessert a bread pudding soaked in dragon's milk stout. Then an Irish coffee. Not much more to add than anyone else: Great ambiance, great food (don't miss the chili poppers) and my favorite: Framboise!!! Would have given them 5 stars except we didn't get a server until after we were there for about 10-15 minutes (you are busy checking the place out at first so you don't realize it until that long). The bartender (manager) and and an assistant were standing next to one another and caught our eyes at the same time they knew we needed a server but didnt' do anything about it. A group of six went here for lunch today. We all ordered different things from what appeared to be a unique and diverse menu. Not one of us liked our meal. Most of us had the same complaint...bland and greasy. I'll never go back there. read more

Last weekend was my second time at this restaurant. Ironically enough, my friend and I had the same server which is always a good thing as long as you're getting decent service. This particular guy seemed to have just woken up and introduced himself with the disclaimer that he was new- just done with training- and may be unable to answer all questions about their menu. Not really a big deal considering their menu is essentially a volume containing myriad beers, liquors, and wine. However, he happened to be my same server the last time I had come in, three weeks prior, and had said the same thing. He seemed unable to recommend a beer similar to the one my friend was looking for which was slightly disappointing considering the number of beers available. When it came time for our food orders, we received a sub-par explanation about the evening's entree special being told it was simply a spicy lasagna with cheese (no way!). Our salads came along with our entrees, so while we scarfed them down, our entrees cooled table side. Overall, the food was great and my beer was refreshing, but the service left me wanting more. I feel like if my friend and I are willing to spend our time and money at an establishment, we should get the service that is worth the dollar. read more

Stopped in for dinner tonight, the staff was amazing, very attentive. There was a small delay in getting our meal, but the staff more than made up for it. We weren't going to complain, love this place, they still paid for a round of drinks for the table and the food was exceptional! I had the chef's crestion, which was a flank steak and red potatoes, it was top notch. We love this place and will be back often! read more

Good good food. I mostly go for brunch and have eaten almost everything. For craft beer lovers they have plenty. They have craft soda for non drinkers which is nice. The dinner and lunch menu is also good, but kind of all over the place for what kind of styles. The main dining room has a lot of English beer towells. read more

This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise and my new favorite place to go for both comfort food and or a drink. There are always unique and delicious specials that make me excited each time I come. The bar has excellent brew option but a little shy on spirits. The atmosphere is very casual which I liked. I would rate the service a three or four out of five and feel if the staff really knew how good this restaurant is the experience would be even better. A great snowy night to enjoy 1/2 meatless Monday! Butter squash quinoa soup - more like a stew. Caprese grilled cheese and fish tacos. Service was great. The re-vamped menu is easier to read, still offers GF, Vegan, vegetarian options for many dishes. If you like beer, they have 47 choices on tap! Probably some of the worst service I have ever had in a restaurant , rude and not accommodating. We had looked online to see if this establishment accommodated vegans and on the Website the menu showed some vegan dishes, and many more vegetarian, there weren't any vegan when we asked. When we asked if items could be made vegan they stated NO and that was it final. I asked if they could at least leave the cheese off and the answer was still NO. We brought out of town guests and it was quite embarrassing the way the server would not even listen. I am sorry to say that we will not be back and that is too bad because the beer selection is exceptional, but that is not enough to put up with the poor service and lack of variations in the food choices. WARNING!!! If you are vegan or lactose intolerant do not go to this restaurant they are not flexible or accommodating. read more

The $9 burger with no tomato, lettuce, onion, or pickles has almost no cheese and one super weak slice of bacon. Oh and it comes with no sides and is the driest toughest piece of s' one will ever encounter. I mean I have had a turkey burger that were juicer. My girlfriend got some grilled cheese thing that was ok but still $8 with no sides. We both added their disgusting fries for $3 each and had two pints of beer each. I left dinner still hungry and wishing I had gone to McDonalds! Dinner for two was $50?! read more

Just returned home from visiting this new for us restaurant. My wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and wanted to try something new. Very happy with the service, food and drinks. Many options to choose from on both the food and drinks menu's. Lots of local food as well. As we finished our dinner, they brought our 2 desserts compliments of the chef! Needless to say they got a very big tip! We will be back for sure! read more

I've always liked this place, but I can't say I'll be back soon after the disappointing "meal" I had last night. Great beer selection and some really delicious and rewarding items on the food menu, but it can be hit or miss. One miss in particular is their pulled pork sandwich. At $7.50, I expected a hearty sandwich and maybe even some chips or fries on the side, but instead I was left scratching my head upon what was on the plate in front of me. The diameter of this sandwich is not much larger than a McD's hamburger, and the overall volume of meat and bun resembled more of a slider type sandwich. And then they had the audacity to put three slim slices of carrot and some "bits" of cauliflower as the garnish. For ten bucks, five of these sandwiches would make a good appetizer plate for a group. But close to $8 for one tiny sandwich for one person? Ridiculous. I would have been quite embarrassed had I been the waiter setting this down in front of me. I regret not taking a photo of this pathetic excuse for a nearly-$8 sandwich with veggie scraps to show to my friends as a warning to never order it. Meanwhile, for $4 more, my buddy had a HUGE pile of fish and chips on his plate. I guess I should have gone with that "hit." read more

The food is amazing!! I ordered their November specials, Soba Noodles Shrimp with wasabi cream sauce. The wasabi was not overpowering but accenting the noodles, shirmp and veggies. I had ordered it to share and wished I hadn't. read more

Had a great meal and excellent service at Graydon's Crossing. Mushroom and Asparagas Diane was beyond great! Coffee pork was also great as well as the Indian Fish Tacos. The wait staff really knows their stuff. Great wine and a flight of good stout as well. We'll be back soon! read more

Make sure you look at trends in the graph above not just the ratings, apparently this restaurant is starting to dive.......We were excited to find a place with a creative menu, and since we are beer connoisseurs the drink menu was even more appealing. The atmosphere was interesting as well. Sad to say this is one of those rare times in life that just because it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck doesnt make it a duck. The steak was burnt although ordered medium. We saw they had a kids meal so were excited about that. Well although it doesnt say anywhere that sides arent included or drinks, and there was no price next to the sides on the kids menus. We ended up paying $9 a kids meal! Ridiculous. I understand maybe they may not want to gear toward families and thats fine - but then dont advertise you have a kids menu and place yourself in family magazines. Either be family friendly or dont. I spent more on the kids then I did the adults. With my entertainment card and making my husbands meal BOGO I walked out of there paying $80 for a couple of burnt steaks and $9 kid quesadillas. GR has to many options restaurants to settle with this kind of "wanna-be." read more
