Asked for crisp but not overcooked bacon and 2 biscuits. We also orders an omelette with gravy and biscuits and a cinnamon roll to start. 1) The cinnamon roll was barely warm. It was good but could have been hotter. 2) The omelet was good but the potatoes were burnt bits and the biscuits were very dry and not soft at all like over baked or sat in the heating drawer way past their due date. 3) The sausage gravy and biscuits meal with bacon was not good. Burnt bacon, hockey pucks for biscuits that no amount of gravy could save and potato's were burnt bits. I guess you need to come for breakfast early to get some quality breakfast foods. Service was very good and the place is very casual and clean. On the fence with this place as this was our very first time eating here.

Restaurant was clean and busy with people but my server returned quickly to take my order after I was given my coffee. Decided on the veggie skillet, ordered side of avacado. Before my food arrived the server checked on me and my coffee situation like 3 times. I appreciate this because when you spend $4-5 for coffee you want more than one cup. Food came quickly for how busy they were. It was so delicious and loved how full of yummy fresh vegetables, onion, peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, chopped green onion, spinach. I loved the sliced avacado. Very fair priced as a side $2.00. I was hungry and ate almost all of my food. I had whole wheat bread they gave me freezer jam for my toast. Food, service, coffee and atmosphere was all too notch! I'll be back.

The management is 100% sexist. Let me share the good, the bad, and the ugly I experienced:…read more The good: - I went in for breakfast on a Sunday with a friend and enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and our server. So, when I noticed a job posting for a "server/bartender" on indeed, I thought about applying for a part-time position. From what I can gather from the employees I talked to, management does have their back and does a lot to support their restaurant, which is fantastic to hear, but of course there's always another side to the coin.... The bad: - One of the first things out of the manager's mouth in my initial interview was "Men aren't good servers and typically you need to work twice as hard to impress me..." and went on about how I was going to be extra scrutinized, which is 100% absolutely illegal and discrimination based on sex/gender. It was appalling to hear, especially when some of my greatest mentors in hospitality have been men. I get that this place is a diner, and many of their clientele are older and might be used to that, but that's no excuse to be sexist and break the law. The ugly: - Well, I came in for a final interview and was clearly setup to fail as the interviewee told me they had no questions for me. It seems they wanted her to "feel" out people, but all that serves to do is make people nervous, as people aren't sure what to say and it's natural to fill in the empty space, which doesn't set up anyone to be laid back and relaxed. On my way out, I looked around and noticed that every single server was a women. Yes, as soon as I got back home, I got a message saying they picked another candidate. All I can say is that I hope "her" and Poodle Dog the best. Lastly, if you're a man and looking for a "server" position, don't even waste your time with this place because they are blatantly biased and have no problem saying so, despite that being completely against the law. That said, don't worry about it if that's also you, because you likely wouldn't want to work for people like this anyways (as it would only be a matter of time before they unfairly judged you, etc.)
