Halfway through getting my nails done the lady left to go to other costumers over and over again. ended up leaving me there for almost 15-20mins just sitting there with my nails half done. They we're obviously taking in costumers they didn't have time for and took way longer than it should've. I didn't even want to get a pedicure at that point or I felt like I would be sitting there for another hour!!! They are very kind to their costumers but they don't know how to prioritize. read more

I went in for a pedicure. The technician asked if I was interested in a manicure too. I said okay, however I requested a mini-mani. He did a full manicure. The problem I had is when the technician (Kevin) was trimming my toe nail, he dug into the side of my nail bed, with too much force. It hurt instantly (bad!) and I yelped and pulled away. He quickly gas-lighted the situation by saying I had an ingrown toenail. I've never had, currently do not have, and am not prone to ingrown toenails. I told him it was not ingrown, period. When he trimmed my cuticles on my fingers I was left with sore spots two days later. My toe is now infected. I am not at happy with my experience at Grass Valley Nails and do not intend to return. Never going anywhere else¡!!!!!!!!! The other places I've gone are not as high quality or efficient when dealing with my nails

This nail spa lacks friendliness and customer service. My male nail tech for my pedicure did not say one word, pointed for everything, was super rough with the foot loofa, and very rough with leg rub. I had to ask to go softer, he didn't reply. He messed up the paint and had to clean it up, an experienced tech wouldn't do this. There was zero friendliness. Since the pedi was $35 each for me and my daughter total $70, I tipped begrudgingly $5. Then the female tech looked at me with wide eyes like "this is all you are tipping?" And then turned to the other techs and yelled something in Vietnamese. I can guarantee you she said "another lousy tip!" Ps you get what you give. Poor service, poor communication, no friendliness.....Bad tip! $70 for 30 minutes is a good wage for 2 people, even if overhead costs are paid! Won't go back read more

Jenny is amazing! I have been getting my nails done regularly for the first time in my life because she is so good.

I have been going here for about a year now. I just can't go anywhere else in Grass Valley now! Their work is flawless and I always leave happy with my nails. I went to Tammy for my most recent set, and she went above and beyond what I was hoping to get. I definitely recommend coming here if you are looking for high quality results! Here are some pictures of nails I have gotten. read more

I give this place 4 stars because of the very strong chemical smell inside. It would be nice to have an air purifier or a better ventilation system. Besides that, I'm very pleased with my experience here. I had set an appointment because I went on MLK and figured it would be busy. Surprise! It was definitely busy hehe :) I had to wait a little longer, but I didn't mind cause I was already mentally prepared. It's a simple nail spa in a simple town :) My mani pedi technician is named Kim. She is soft spoken and so gentle and caring with what she does. I thanked her many times for being so attentive. It was beautiful to hear one of the other nail technicians sing while I got my pedicure, wow! The pedicure was wonderful. It was great to relax in the massage chair and to receive hot stones and a hot towel after a nice leg and foot massage The gel manicure came out beautiful! Perfect, clean lines. Awesome green polish for my heart chakra! Hehe They do charge a $2 processing fee if you use a debit/credit card, so if you want to avoid that, bring cash! For a gel mani, regular pedicure and the $2 card fee, I paid $50 then added on my tip I'm just now exploring the different salons in the area, so I may be back if someone else doesn't knock my socks off! Thank you very much for offering this service, I'm grateful for what you all do! read more

Had appt for a gel mani and regular pedi. Sat soaking my feet for 1/2 hr, (the water got cold) until I got served. She did a terrible job on my toes. I asked her to file them and she kept cutting them and filing them crooked. The polish is super sloppy too. Luckily I brought my own polish so I'll redo the pedi. She finally got to my nails and again filed them crooked. I asked her to soften the corners, pointing to where I wanted them fixed, and she kept filing the sides. The polish is so bad that I'll have to pay someone else to fix them. She kept putting more polish over her mistakes so the polish kept bubbling and it's SUPER gloppy and thick at the tips, yet there's no polish on the sides of several nails. The first time I tried a gel mani there I was also extremely disappointed. Again, tons of bubbles and thick and gloppy at the tips. read more

This place did a terrible job on my nails, both feet and hands. Weren't even clean afterwards. Then charged $45 for this horrible mani/pedi - way overpriced - and they tag on a $2 service charge for paying with a credit card. Do not waste your money on this place. read more

Good service but a $2 charge to use my debit card. The policy isn't well marked. That's a cost of business. If they'd rather get cash that's cool but don't ding me for a debit card. read more

i had one of the hardest weeks ever and my friend told me to get my nails done. it was hard to find a place open which was expected but i called grass valley nails and they said to come on it and being a mask to wear. it was clean, everyone was friendly, and everyone had a mask and there were even protective shields set up at each manicure station to keep the workers and patrons safe. Tom did my nails and i am beyond happy with them. i feel all fancy and done up. they made me feel extremely pampered. 11/10 would recommend you go here! read more

Wonderful technicians. You wont be disappointed! Happy place very clean don't miss perfection

I've tried this place twice and both times 3 to 4 of my nails are snapped off within a week and a half of getting them. I had 2 different technicians and the results were the same. The last time I went in I had my pinkie cut and was bleeding like crazy and my thumb nail was made INCREDIBLY longer than my other one. read more

I had an appointment for 12:30 September 11th to change my nail color. At 12:40 a woman motioned for me to follow her. She never said hello or welcomed me in any way. She seemed angry to be doing my nails. She was so rough with the Dremel I had to pull my hand away several times. She did not seem the least bit concerned that she hurt me. To top it off my nails look awful. The polish is really thick in some spots and is already chipping off in others . I wish I had not tipped her. If she did not want to do my nails she should have let someone else do them. I am sorry I do not know her name as she never bothered to introduce her self. Avoid the woman with short dark hair and glasses. Her station is the second one from the last one in back. She is next to Tami. I did not get what I paid for and was treated poorly. A waste of my money and my time. read more

I love grass valley nails. Holly is the one that does my nails and she always does them so well. She always asks me how I like them through out my fill to make sure she is doing them how I like. Great prices. Only problem I have is that they close too early on Saturday and sometimes it is hard to just walk in because they are so busy. read more

This salon has definitely made a turn for the worst. Ever since the previous owner recently sold this business it has been terrible. They are very unfriendly. Recently had a pedicure and the polish job was so bad!!! I didn't even complain because I just wanted to get out of there. Definitely not going back. read more

Walked in to get a pedicure. Young man was nice enough but obviously inexperienced. That should have been my clue to walk out. While doing my cuticles he cut a huge chunk out of my big toe which proceeded to bleed profusely. The owner was kind enough to medicate & bandage, asking me to call if there were problems or doctors involved. Now I know why the nail salon up in NC mentioned the word "chop shop" I WON'T be going here again!! read more

A lady did my nails, she finished in 10 minutes, super sloppy work, polish all over my skin. Worst experience I have ever had. Went back the next day to have them fixed, the guy told me it looked bad because I just got the gel polish and not the manicure with it. (I get gel polish everytime and it always looks fine). So he talked me into paying $10 to get a manicure and re painted. The guy painted it SO thick it peeled off in two days. Never going back. read more

Clean and plenty of pedi chairs. Great leg message with my pedi from Ann!! Loved the hot stone too.

Went to get my nails fixed after 2 weeks barely of having a full sets done $50 and a good tip!! On walking in they said 10 minutes and it was over twenty minutes to get seated. I wrote my name and fix on the "list". I sat down and showed Adam my missing nail and the others which was "most",that were separating/adhering from my nails .He told me he would "fix me up". So he replaced the missing name and file down all the rest. He promptly filled all my nails. He did only one coat otop coat and said he was done. I asked if I had to paid money he said yes $33. I looked down at the price list and asked why $33 if a fill was $30. He said $3 to fix the one nail. I said I would never be back paid him and walked out. I also have concerns about the cleaning practices I am a nurse and never saw anything wash down with antiseptic or cleaner, just swept with brushes and removing of paper towels or regular towels and definitely not fifteen minute of the pedicure sinks ( which if I'm not mistaken is a state law) i would not recommended this place for multiple reasons and the workmanship is poor please see my photos of my nails and see tips not even and the little nail still not adhering properly. read more

This was my first time here. I've had my nails natural for 7 months and they are breaking too much, so I went in for a new acrylic set. (after bad experience with another nail shop) I was expecting for the guy to try to up-sell me, but instead he talked to me about the different things I could do to my nails and what was best. Thank you! I am now your permanent customer. My nails look and feel nice and I love it that they really thought of what is best for the customer. I look forward to going again and again. read more

Like the previous review I have been a customer here for many years. unfortunately after my last pedicure I'm not sure if I will return I think it really all depends on the girl you get. I've been very happy many times but this last experience was just the end. Let me start by saying that I made an appointment two days ahead of time. I arrived early, so there was no reason for me to have been rushed i sat down next to a woman who had also just had her pedicure started. I felt like my experience was rushed next thing I knew my clear coat was slapped on and I wasn't even asked if I wanted to flower when I compared my pedicure to the woman who is sitting next to me I was two steps ahead and she had started before me I had to back up until the woman that I wanted a flower and she has set all I already put a clear coat on she put one on anyways but it was just the point I was disappointed when you pay that much money you don't want to feel disappointed I will be looking elsewhere for my next pedicure The following day the polish chipped and i lost a stone of the flower on my big toe! I've honestly never felt so disappointed from pedicure........ read more

Take my Grandmother to get her feet and nails done every three to four weeks and they are extremely polite and friendly. My grandmother is 98 years old and has arthritis and they spend extra time rubbing her hands and feet and are extremely careful with her, which I appreciate. I know she enjoys her visit each and every time and comes away feeling good and relaxed, not to mention that she always mentions that she gets her moneys worth.
