I went to this nail salon to have an update on my nail situation. When I arrived, there was no wait time and all the staff were pretty pleasant. This location is nice and neat. Overall, I'm satisfied with what I got! I loved that the nail technician showed me a pic of all the shapes I could choose from. I didn't get his name, but the male nail tech that worked on me had an amazing attention to detail. He took his time with each nail. I got an almond shape which I think looks very flattering on my fingers. I chose fun pink colors. The only drawback with this nail salon is that parking can be limited since it's in the busy downtown Yuba city area. read more

I decided very last minute I was going to get my nails done and my daughter decided she also wanted polish for the first day of school. So around 5:27pm I called and they said if I could come now they could get me in for a full set I said I'd be there in 20 they said fine. I showed up and they had a few walk ins at the same time as us but was fast to get everyone situated. I was lucky to get Andy and he was amazing. Not only precise on details did it so effortlessly. I had one finger I had slammed into the car door a few months back nail growing back he took care of me. Hawaii ready. I got fullset stiletto milky white and they came out so perfect exactly what I wanted. My daughter got blue gel and she was so happy. Both cost 80 really good price. I will definitely be back. Went in for a gel French pedicure plus a French lacquer mani pedi. This experience was meant to be a Christmas gift to my mom. Cons: The lacquer manicure seems to have been quite a low effort endeavor: nails shaped crooked or not shaped at all, the French manicure lopsided on each nail and from nail to nail. We didn't take pictures- the mani lasted one day because only one (possibly no?) top coat was applied. You might be asking yourself why I didn't say anything- I didn't know until the next day, when the person who had the manicure (this individual is inexperienced with expressing negative opinions to service workers about their work) told me. I like to give the benefit of the doubt but this was not very nice. Pros: They took us right on time for our appointment and the booking process was easy. The foot massage was good, and they deliver all of the services promised in each package. They took off my old gel pedi with a drill, but took care not to scrape or damage my nail. Clearly very hygienic, the facility was clean and well lit. Well staffed, and the staff was cordial and professional. Overall this was still a good experience, but the manicure being poorly executed made me very disappointed. I got my mom these services so that she could relax and feel beautiful and happy, and the next day when her nails were ruined after some very light cooking (with gloves) she was sad and I was sad for her. We came in on a Monday, so in my opinion the manicure should have at least lasted through Wednesday. I'm sure the salon in general will stick by their staff, as they should. I would recommend this place for gel or acrylic, but not for someone wanting lacquer. read more

I've been coming for over a year and unfortunately, on multiple visits have had my nails filed way too thin to the point where my natural nail is breaking completely off underneath the acrylic. I've come back because not every tech does that and I make it a point to mention I don't like them filed that thin. This last visit again, filed my nails far too thin before placing the fake nail and acrylic resulting in my whole (natural) nail (down to my cuticle) coming off at any sign of slight pressure. NEVER AGAIN! My 13 year old and I went as walk ins for pedicures. She got the #1 and I got the most expensive one I think it's #6. To begin the lady did not ask me what soak I wanted she just automatically used the organs scent which is actually the one I dislike the most. I always choose lavender and didn't even get asked. My daughter had a photo of exactly what she wanted which was pink French tip with a Hawaiian style flower. We had to tell the lady 3 times she wants pink just for her to put a white tip, I was distracted with my feet and my daughter is soft spoken so she told her once she wanted pink and the girl ignored her and so my girl asked me to look and I was like "didn't you want pink?" The girl answered for her and said no she wanted white. I look at my daughter and her facial expression was telling me other wise so I asked my girl again did she want pink and she said yes so it became a back and forth and I had to tell her to show the photo again and told my own nail tech to clear it up for us. Then when she finally was doing the pink we had to tell her over and over again to do it thicker. My girl was so disappointed in the outcome she didn't even want the flower any more. Then back to my toes, I get an acrylic big toe cus mine doesn't grow very well since surgery. Now I know people don't do such a good job with toe nails and this I don't understand because I myself can do it pretty well and I'm not a professional. I feel like mine was rushed as I told him just make it look as close to my other one (left foot) as possible. This nail is skinny width wise and it's such an odd shape I had to tell him to make it a little longer but didn't know I'd have to tell him step by step what I wanted. All in all $126 later it looks like my 13 year old did our pedicures herself. From nail polish being not fully on the nail to the lines of the French tip it's just a bad job all around. I haven't been to get a pedicure in 7 months because I'm tired of spending so much money for people to rush it. Massage was nice though. read more

This was my first time there, and I was getting a mani /pedi before heading to an event. The gal that did my pedicure was absolutely great. Then moved to the nail tech to get acrylics. He cut down my lengths and when he started shaping. I told him I wanted an oval rounded shape but he refused saying my nails were too short for that shape and just rounded them off. The end result wasn't different from the return customer to my left who the tech continued to talk to for the duration. She had brought her mom in for the first time and he was quizzing her on if the mom had a good experience. I thought how nice, these folks really care about treating their customers right. But I guess they pick and choose on that. Things got sus when I went to pay. The total seemed a little higher than I expected so I asked what the charges were for the mani pedi. I was told that they charged me extra for getting "almond" shape. He never mentioned an upcharge when I asked for a rounded shape. I was running late so I just went along with it and paid their price plus tip and left. But the whole thing felt sus to me. I realized that my issue with this experience is that 1. I wasn't even given almond shape that they claimed the upcharge was for. Fr did they charge me just for "asking" ? 2. Every person I've spoken to, many who regularly get nails done in YC & Sac - every single one told me they've never been charged extra for shaping. Because the tech has to shape the nail regardless. So either this is the ONLY salon in the surrounding areas that charges extra for a basic rounded shape or they point blank lied to me just to get a few extra bucks. I tried to pay by credit card and he insisted I Venmo him. The account he gave me, I'm pretty sure it went to a personal account. This could have been my new go to salon but I just don't trust the place now. read more

I got a mani-pedi here on Mother's Day. They take walk-ins. They prefer payment via Venmo or PayPal. This is the third nail salon I've tried in town and so far my favorite. People were friendly and attentive, and they did good work. I got gel paint for my mani and it lasted about 8 days before it chipped, so take that for what you will. They have various levels of service and options but a standard pedicure (regular polish) and a gel manicure, total was $85, not including a tip. I'll likely be back. read more

I performed a walk-in as a first time customer, hesitant as I've had terrible experiences in the past with nail techs in relation to my nails being "too small," resulting in multiple painful cuts to my nail beds. I provided a picture of what I was looking for and Andy did amazing in both his work and allowing me to trust someone else again with my nails.
