The service was excellent. The drinks were delicious. The appetizers and even the bread and oil they served were scrumptious. Unfortunately, I visited specifically for the lobster ravioli which left much to be desired. It wasn't very flavorful and there was barely any lobster in the ravioli. Still, everything else was so good including our lovely, attentive and happy waiter. I plan on on returning. read more

I don't know about the food here but last evening about 100 Chamber of Commerce members had a gathering and the bar prices are nuts. A simple gin & tonic (bar brand gin) cost $15.00. HELLO!! This is not the Plaza Hotel! We are a non-profit organization so needless to say I don't think I'll stop by again for the food. Can't imagine the prices there. Good luck. read more

the food was excellent. the service was good until I asked for the desert menu. I waited 10 minutes and asked the same waiter again for the menu and he said he was busy. waited another 10 minutes and got my check and left without desert. I won't be going back. read more

Rigatoni Grappa is my go to every time. Cooked to perfection. Yes, all their dishes are great and the service is wonderful.

If you're serious about restaurants and food, you're likely to be disappointed here. Service is fair (though a server who clears an empty wineglass without trying to sell more wine is doing herself, her employer, and the customer no favors). The decor is interesting in a somewhat chaotic, overblown fashion. But the food is really the weak link here. Pan roasted salmon served with a saffron risotto sounds appealing enough, but the execution suggests untrained line cooks guessing their way through procedures they don't understand and have never mastered. If you're looking for high quality cooking, keep looking. read more

The atmosphere and service were excellent. Drinks and dinners well prepared. Always a good place to take w date.

The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I have a gluten allergy and they were very aware of what I could and could not eat. I got the fig and goat cheese pizza on a cauliflower crust and it was out of this world! I wish I lived closer so I could eat it all the time. read more

Grappa Ristorante - Italian Near Me - Warwick, New York

Restaurant always has constantly good food and good service. The attendant at the hostess stand leaves a lot to be desired. We called to make a reservation, as we always do, and she made it seem as if we were inconveniencing her. Her energy was and is always horrible!! We walked into the restaurant and her attitude did not change at all, not a smile, not a hello: she took our name, grabbed the four menus, made no eye contact and then tossed the menus on the table and walked away. It's horrible that she's the 'gatekeeper' for a restaurant that actually has good food in this small town. Luckily the rest of the staff picked up her slack and the food was good. We've been coming here for the last several years and it's unfortunate to be greeted that way takes away from the overall experience. If she's that unhappy working there and being a hostess for so many years, maybe it's time to venture off somewhere else. read more

Excellent! I had a very nice dining with my family of 4 (2 young children). They offered outdoor seating under a very nice lit tent. I ordered the 6 raw oyster topped with caviar and tuna fish. I could not stop thinking about it. It was that good. I also ordered the Penne Ala Vodka, which was delicious!. Excellent service all around. Highly recommended. It was in a quaint little town that I would recommend strolling around. I would definitely go back if I am ever in town. read more

Stumbled upon this place during a spontaneous trip to Warwick and so glad we did. Doesn't seem like there are many vegan options in town so we were thankful to find a menu with items that were easily adaptable. We had the Tomato and Avocado appetizer and split the Cavatelli Broccoli Rabe for the main. Solid wine selection. Servers were quite young but attentive & polite read more

Don't miss this place. Amazing food (we got the tuna tartare, chicken milanese and shrimp with risotto). Some of the best Tiramasu I've had in NY. Great outdoor seating and ambiance. My only minor critiques: wines by the glass were not impressive. Martini was great. Also, the waiters ask if you would like something to drink other than water as soon as you sit down. This is before they provide you with a drink list (had to ask for it). Our waiter told us there was only 2 beers on draft. When he brought out the menu, there were a ton. read more

Great Italian food. Best high end spot in Warwick for dinner. Try the muscles, or any pasta dish, always good

We went to grappa a while ago and it was great so we decided to come back today. Wine, Beer and Food Menu are all great so as the Staff serving us but here is the but... To my Chicken Dish I was served a vegetable medley. This medley was the frozen mix you get for you microwave at home when you don't have time to do anything else. I was really disappointed about than since I can't understand why can you blanched, roast or bake some simple veggie like Broccoli and Carrot from fresh produce since you also charge a good $$ for it ? As a chef I would embarrassed to serve that honestly.. go home man if you can't handle a full restaurant... Meatballs ugh ... taste like they where frozen as well for a while and if you compare the food I give my dog it wouldn't make a difference ... no blue what was happen today but this was nothing but a disappointment... read more

In my opinion? Perfection! We loved the space, we loved every dish, we loved our server (Elias!), we loved how everyone was attentive, but not overbearing. Absolutely can not wait to go back! How about tomorrow??? read more

The food here is absolutely delicious and the service and ambiance is great. Highly recommend!

Went on a Saturday night around 8pm and they were booked solid for the night, so we sat downstairs by the bar area (same full menu!). The pizzas were delicious, and the service was AMAZING - huge thanks to the man who seemed to be the manager. He was incredibly kind, the perfect amount of helpful, and even came running out to bring us our leftovers that we had forgotten on the table! Such a wonderful experience, and someone who genuinely wants the best experience for his guests. read more

Hostess staff were a bit off standish, but our waitress/waiters were great! Very delish Italian food! A lil pricy, for a so-so ambience, but cool date night spot. I was told the sunset views were unbelievable here, but all we saw was railroad tracks. ‍ read more

I am rarely west of the Hudson but I had business in Middletown and on the way back I wanted to visit Warwick Chocolate Factory (I know him) and was seeking somewhere for lunch, preferably Italian. Grappa is right next door so I didn't even have to move the car. The food was absolutely sumptuous; a bit pricey (lunch was $68, just entrées, no drinks) but SOOOO good. Service was fun, I wouldn't say impeccable, but the waiters are young and playful which is nice sometimes. Anthony (not Tony) was great and his sidekick who looked like he was fourteen was very pleasant. It's not always easy to get anyone's attention for more water or bread but all in all it was wonderful. I had chicken Marsala and my colleague had shrimp fra diavolo; both excellent choices. read more

I ordered a pick up order, 3 pastas and a salad($98.00). I showed up 1/2 hour after order, I had to wait at the hostess stand for 15 minutes. I get home and instead of linguini I get cheese covered risotto with my meal. I call to ask about it and I'm handed off to Nick, the co-owner), and he says "oh risotto costs is more anyway..."not apologizing it's wrong, or offering to send linguini which was on the menu description, but he rudely told me I could come pick it up pasta. Do I work for Uber eats? Grub Hub? There is no other Italian game in town, so if you don't mind paying $100 for $1.00 worth of pasta and 4 shrimp and terrible service with smug owner, then by all means go to Grappa. If you have the time and want delicious food spend the $100 on gas and go to Queen on Atlantic Avenue..in Brooklyn, I guarantee they will get their menu items right, and not be confrontational in the rare event a mistake was made. read more

Skip this joint and head to Momento instead. Waited 20 min past my reservation time to be seated but I thought at least the crowd was a good sign. Took another 20 min to get a drink and bread for the table. Then deciding on food was tough because 2/3 of the menu is listed as Specials with no pricing - tactic I hate. When waiter came I tried to ask a few questions and put in an appetizer. he refused to put the appetizer order in until we were ready to order the meal. Absurd. Food took another 30 min to come out. We had Bronzino (bland and dry) and the Gnocchi (could have been Chef boy r Dee). $140 for meals, three drinks, no dessert plus a tuna tartar app that was 90% avocado and seaweed. "Where's the tuna?! I asked myself while searching with my fork". Oh and it's crowded with birthday parties and crying kids at 8pm on a Sat night. Won't be back. read more

Alright so, this place has a decent outside patio, which drew us in. We came at 7:20 on a Monday night, and it was one of the only open restaurants in Warwick with immediate seating. We were seated outside, as our preference. The live music was a mix of classic rock. Service was friendly, seems like they use the teamwork method because I don't think the same server came over more than once. Bread was served with hunks of parmesan cheese and some sort of eggplant / peppers in oil. I opted for the scallops special, served over linguine with scampi sauce and my husband got the lobster ravioli. The scallops were well cooked, but not as buttery as I would have hoped. I'm not a huge pasta fan, but the linguine was al dente; and I left most of on the plate. The lobster ravioli was good, but clearly unoriginal and most likely packaged / frozen. Being one of the only places open in the area this late on a Monday, we didn't hate Grappa's. That being said, we most likely will not be returning. read more

Nice table and good service. However I didn't like the food at all and wouldn't return. My mom and I each ordered a different kind of vegetarian pizza and they might as well have been completely identical. The whole meal was just bread and cheese and more bread and cheese and more bread and cheese. Who knows why they don't have something fun for vegetarians like eggplant Parmesan on the menu. read more

We were just at Grappa's Ristorante for my daughter's baby shower. The food, service, & atmosphere exceeded our expectations! The food was so delicious and the portions were generous and the presentation wonderful. The service couldn't have been any more attentive to our needs. Outdoor dining on the patio especially during free concerts in the park offer a fantastic seat! Martinis and oysters are totally good too!

I do maintenance work for many restaurants,in the kitchen. So I know first hand that they are using a trained chef. You may not know but many high end restaurants have semi permanent "cooks". Some of them are good but many are just mediocre. I hate paying top price for mediocre. So, here you will pay top price but they can produce really good food. It's a nice restaurant in a beautiful town. read more

Food was always very good for lunch when I'd visit, however we noticed a mouse dropping on our table and the staff made us feel uncomfortable after quietly and respectfully mentioning it. More so giving the staff a heads up. We were asked "how did that get there?" and "where did it come from?". That was our question to you.... clearly they don't appreciate good customers and that's truly a shame. We won't be back! read more

August 2021, Kala our server was wonderful, and the place inside is cozy, we ended up sitting inside on the second floor near the bar area. We started with the Shrimp Avocado with chopped jumbo shrimp, drizzled with balsamic and olive oil. That starter dish was fabulous, and delicious! Then we ordered the Filet Mignon (medium rare) that was fresh and cooked to perfection. Our friends ordered the Bronzino which they said was delicious! The prices were fair for the food and drinks we ordered. All and all, I can't wait to come back here to eat whenever we are in the area. Hats off to the Chef who provided us with a fabulous meal. read more

First, it shows two$$ for cost, I prefer to make it $$$. It's been here a long time and is well known. Problem being is that the food is good, Ambiance is how they make it work. No place in Warwick has the location or ambiance they present. Their are better places to eat fine food in Warwick, I know i have lived here for over 30 years, and tried the all. My biggest gripe, and remains so, drink prices are off the wall. This is not NYC, in some of the better places in NYC you can actually get the same drink for less. Asked the price on a Top Shelf Bourbon Manhatten,,, it was sent to me with NO repsonce. I know the waitress asked the owner but obviousy he just her to serve it and not worry. DON"T even thing of this place or the two places they own for a nice drink with a date or friend. 2 drinks will cost you $30 plus tip. My suggestion,, if you want to dine there for the experience do so,, BUT get a drink somewhere else.. first! read more

Pizzaria food at steakhouse prices. Disappointed- this used to a lovely reasonably priced restaurant.

Solid Italian food in Warwick. I came here with my family and we were only able to get seating in the wine bar because we came without a reservation, and it was perfect! The burrata was delicious but awfully small. I would have loved more cheese lol. I had a sea bass entree that was decent but not the best I've ever had. "Swimming" in sauce (pun intended). I'd come back and try more things! read more

I'd like to start this review by listing off my credentials: I've eaten Italian food all over the country, I'm 1/8th Italian, I've made homemade linguini before, and I went to Italy when I was 13. So I guess you could say I'm somewhat a sommelier when it comes to Italian food. Let's start by talking about the atmosphere. I felt the lighting was soft and gentle on myself which had a slight afrodesiac effect on me. (The shadows created a slightly larger nose on my wife. It's okay though. We'd like to get her some work done anyway but her physical beauty is a separate review altogether). Let's talk about the appetizer. Avocado shrimp appetizer. It was a well proportioned lump of avocado and a shrimp on top. At first I was disappointed cause I realized it was just a scoop of guac. $16 ripoff!!! But then my eyes gazed upward at what lie atop the lump. -a five star shrimp. The way it was delicately placed atop the lump made my pinky erect as soon as my fingers grasped the fork. I'm talkin' five star fancy. Now on to the entrée. I always order the filet mignon when I dine fancy. Let's talk about the way I felt when I bit into my first bite of the filet. I literally had to close my eyes because of how much I loved it. It tasted like butter. You don't even need teeth to chew this steak. I mean it's like it vaporized in my mouth and slid down my throat like liquid. The sauce that it was draped in was like velvet fog if that makes sense (and I'm fairly certain that it does) The waiter kept taking our drink menu away though which was irritating. My wife's entree was the lobster ravioli. Let me tell you, the sauce was 2 die 4. I'm lactose indifferent so I was surprised I loved it as much as I did. It only came with 5 raviolis but they tasted like heaven in pillow case sealed shut. But once i bit into one, the ravioli excrement exploded all over my Hawaiian shirt. (Good thing I always eat with napkin bibs hehe) Once she was done with her raviolis I repeatedly ran my index finger around and around the plate to relive the tasty experience. Anyways, take my word as an experienced Italian foody. This place is great. Go experience what I did. read more
