The octopus was tasty and also very tender - many places grill the octopus but here I think it's slow cooked to become so soft. The penne was delicious and the veal chop was very well prepared. After apple picking at Pennings we wanted an outdoor lunch in town , but away from the crowds on Main. Grappa is nestled across from a park and the old railroad station. Service was excellent, seating very comfortable,lWe had the personal margarita pizza with pepperoni, and a chicken Caesar wrap that included a side salad, and a tap Shilling lager. Delicious! Prices reasonable and facilities spotless. If you go at night make a reservation cause the phone never stopped ringing ! read more

Ok. I have tried to eat here AGAIN. The food is not bad..it's not great either..but we were craving Italian. There were slim pickins during Covid. This place cannot be serious with their outdoor seating! The hostess will tell you 30 minutes..but BEWARE. It will be ONE HOUR and 30 minutes. If this had happened once or even twice on a busy weekend..it would be almost excusable. This happens every single time because they do not take reservations for the outdoor seating. By the time they call you to your table ..all of Warwick has closed for the night. They are terrible at turning over tables. The frustration just ruins the whole night. Bye bye Grappa. First, the food is amazing. Their shrimp fra diavolo with risotto is probably my favorite meal ever and always consistent. I have sat both indoor and outdoor, I love the ambiance inside. The only downside is the service...it is either hit or miss. I have been greeting by both snobby and sweet hosts/hostesses and have been served by super kind waiters or indifferent ones that don't reply to a "thank you". Last time I was there a few weeks back, the servers looked on edge as they huddled together giving each other looks and the manager looked angry. The energy was palpable and I found it hard to stay engaged in my table conversation with all the whispering and growling I overheard among the staff. Bottom line, this is a great place for a nice dinner, celebration, etc. I'm able to over look the service (within reason) but really wish it was as good as the food. If you're expecting service where you can engage with your server and have some fun with them, I am not sure this is the place for you. I still suggest you try it here at least once. read more

Everything was fine until I got my check and saw saw the &4.00 charge for using my credit card. That is unacceptable. I know that in NY the laws changed and companies can now pass the charge of using a credit card on the customer but just because they can, doesn't mean they should. I also know that the customer is supposed to be alerted immediately and not discover a sneaky charge at the bottom of the bill. I'm disappointed that restaurants are taking advantage of their customers. Accepting credit cards increases their business and the charge was always the price of doing business. Now they expect the customer to absorb it. That left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Review of the frequent pick up experience here during covid. The food is amazing. Sophisticated taste and variety of daily specials. They give you yummy rolls, parm and a most delicious conviction of zucchini in a spicy oil to compliment the rolls, I'm guessing. Their penne vodka comes with pancetta, so if you don't eat pork, ask them to remove it. Everything we've had from here was delicious and expertly prepared. Been there on numerous occasions and enjoy the food very much. Staff is always attentive and courteous, they've expanded the seating area since my last visit, so it's very spacious and comfortable. Food was cooked well, very tasty. Servings a bit small but that's probably for the best, since leaving a restaurant bloated is never good. I love Grappa! First and foremost their covid precautions are great... staff wearing masks and tables appropriately distanced. We were a group of 5 for a bachelorette party on a Saturday night. They were so attentive, were so fun and allowed us to have our own fun. The food was amazing came out warm and fast with a great menu selection. Def try the martinis and the buratta. I've only ever had amazing meals at this location. While I do wish their dining room was wheelchair accessible for my grandmother, I personally don't mind climbing the narrow stairs for this menu. The food is spectacular, and the wine list is just lovely - a great balance of familiar vintages and high end adventures. The service is on point, and the atmosphere is elegant without being pretentious or stuffy. I'm also a sucker for those little Italian fruit candies they offer upon departure. I brought my sister here for the first time and she was so happy and surprised with how amazing this place was. Our service was fast, they were super friendly and the ambiance was a 10/10. Our server Madison, was a pleasure she was so attentive and she lit up the whole room. Our busser Jake made sure we always had full glasses of water and was very attentive on getting our checks and boxes ready when we were finished with our meal. The owner Nick, goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure his customers and staff are happy. Unlike most owners, who hide on the sidelines or in the back; Nick was on the floor at all times, whether that meant serving tables, taking drink orders, or even clearing a table after a guest left. It means a lot to see staff work together as family. During times likes these, it's the little things that matter. So we'd like to say Salut! What a cool surprise! As a city guy, i'm often surprised when you find a real diamond in the rough, and having never been to Warwick, NY before, i didnt know what to expect. But I went on a first date here, and was really impressed (with the date - AND the restaurant!) Great vibe, nice decor and high ceilings... its a building with an old soul. Nice bartenders, good drinks, and a great mix of music. Superb Restaurant on a historical strip and building. This has a NYC five star feel, NYC prices but much cheaper than a five star spot. Exceptional service all around, extensive bar service and spectacular menu options. All our entrees were delicious. A friend recommended this location and delighted to add this to our list. I went here with a couple of people on 8/1. Good thing we made a reservation because the place was very crowded for a Tuesday night. We were given bread and olive oil with thinly sliced eggplant squash in a dish. That was pretty good. We started off with 2 appetizers. The meatballs were great as well as the asparagus parmigian. Service was good. For dinner I had pollo florentine which was delicious. My wife had the pollo contindina and she was very satisfied. Dessert consisted of canolis which were very good. I would have to say this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area and surrounding towns. Overall, I would give this establishment 4.6 stars. There are a few reasons it is not a full 5 stars, one of them being the layout of the place which I understand is not the fault of the management. Another reason is that I ordered a drink right before my meal came and the waiter did not bring it. I did not bother the waiter because my food arrived and I was too involved in eating the good food I did not bother. These are very minor issues and I recommend anyone curious about coming here to try this gem out. read more

We visited for the first time yesterday for me nephew's baptism the food was amazing! I was full before the main course. My daughter and I are gluten free, we usually get stuck with grilles chicken... we had penne ala vodka that was awesome we both ate every bite. She had a personal pizza and I had chicken parmigiana with a Parmesan crust. i wish I could have finished it, it is going to be lunch today. I am definitely planning to go back with my husband for a date night. He is rarely impressed when we go out and he too loved it.
