We were sent her by a local who knew we all liked Italian food. I was skeptical that a small restaurant so deep in the wilds of upstate NY could attract a top notch chef but the food proved me wrong. Their signature dish, Grappa Named pasta was ordered by two of our group and drew raves (we all tasted it and made yummy noises). One person had rigatoni with a red red sauce. Gobbled down with gusto and the sauce scooped up with the really excellent bread (the bread too was a surprise). Overall, service, food, atmosphere and the well stocked wine cellar tells me that this could be a destination restaurant for city dwellers. Spend a fun day in the country and finish it off with a fine meal. Give this neat place a shot. You will thank me later. Recommended. read more

I've been to this restaurant 3 times. First time was during Apple fest and that was lovely, the food is amazing. This time around, sat at the upstairs bar. The bartender was wonderful and the manager a lovely man. Only problem I had here was the hostess dressed as if she is going to a Metallica concert. Cleavage showing tight tank top with pleather pants. I think every man in the place had to cover themselves with their napkin. With the black lipstick, she was ready for crowd surfing. Funny part - there's a sign when you come up the stairs informing you you are not allowed to come into the restaurant if you're wearing a tank top. Hypocritical if you ask me. The place is one big oxymoron but the wine was delicious and the bartender was friendly. read more

Food is satisfactory. Service has always been good. Only 1 time I've dined here and staff members were acting unprofessional on the clock. The place itself is always well kept and has a beautiful dinner setting. However can feel a little cramped sometimes. read more

This place has a great atmosphere and an excellent staff. The food is delicious. We had grilled octopus as a starter. For our entrées we had the chilean sea bass in a piccata sauce, and a perfectly cooked NY Strip steak. Seriously yummy. I loved the bread and oil they give you too. read more

Very pleasant experience at Grappa! We came for my sister-in-law's bachelorette party dinner and I was very impressed. They have a lot of space to sit both downstairs and upstairs, and we had a private table with a very attentive waiter. Following a gluten & dairy free diet at the time, I was impressed with all of the menu items that were available to me. The salmon I had for dinner was exquisite and everyone else at the table enjoyed their appetizers/meals too. I would definitely check this place out if you're in the Warwick area! read more

Easily one of the best restaurants we've tried in Warwick, NY (and there are a lot of great ones here). The ambiance is lovely, lots of space in the dining room, with a lofted upstairs space that is great. The meatballs are truly special, tender and juicy. All of the pasta dishes are cooked perfectly, a touch softer than al-dente which is exactly how we like it. The bolognese sauce was exquisite and the service was attentive and friendly. So far each dining experience has been superb. Olive oil/Bread while you wait is delicious. Great selection of food and drinks. Service is great, I never felt like the waitress forgot about us, drinks were always filled/topped off and plates were cleared with perfect timing. The entrees are delicious. This is a nice place to eat as well as great staff very friendly the only downside to eating here is if you order a decaf coffee. I have been there many times, and two of those time I ordered decaf cappuccino they said yes it's available then they proceed to give me caffeinated. How do I know it was caffeinated? This place goes above & beyond!! & the food is delish! We were a group of 10 & my girlfriends birthday celebration was supposed to be a day at the winery... we started the day off super late & it was packed. We decided to leave & head into town... (at this point we were all also starving). When we arrived they told us it was going to be a long wait... I guess they could tell the birthday girl was super upset & starving, & we clearly didn't plan for everything properly. Within 15 minutes or so we had a special table... The food was great, white sangria was delicious, and honestly, ALL of the wait staff was fantastic... from the bus boys, waiters, to the gentleman whom I believe was the maitre d. Food is excellent! Went here for an anniversary dinner and it was spectacular. Cant go wrong with almost anything an on the menu. Ambiance is cool, gives an old school feeling to the restaurant. Service could have been better. Mostly teenagers who were very slow and not attentive. But overall great experience! Would eat here again. read more

I'm glad that I tried this place, due to the recommendation of a lovely lady I met at a fundraiser in West Milford. The food was delicious, the wine selection was vast , And the service was great, which made for a really nice evening. The environment was fairly relaxed, and it reminded me of a casual Lunch spot in Paris that my co workers are quite fond of. We ate: the burata appetizer, and the asparagus parmesan special. For main dishes: filet mignon special, and cavatelli with broccoli Rabe We had two glasses of wine along with a mixed drink, and I thought the Malbec they offered was pretty OK. For dessert, there was a delicious Tiramisu: It was very lightly flavored and the cheese was very fresh, although it did not taste like there was Amaretto (or any alcohol, for that matter) In it. Whenever family/friends come to visit us, we usually make reservations and bring them to Grappa. We also love to dine here when we happen to be dressed up, for a "fancy" lunch/dinner. It's a beautiful restaurant and the food is exceptional! The kids usually share a brick oven pizza. My husband and I love the penne alla vodka and the calamari. I don't know about the food here but last evening about 100 Chamber of Commerce members had a gathering and the bar prices are nuts. A simple gin & tonic (bar brand gin) cost $15.00. HELLO!! This is not the Plaza Hotel! We are a non-profit organization so needless to say I don't think I'll stop by again for the food. Can't imagine the prices there. Good luck. read more

Rigatoni Grappa is my go to every time. Cooked to perfection. Yes, all their dishes are great and the service is wonderful.

If you're serious about restaurants and food, you're likely to be disappointed here. Service is fair (though a server who clears an empty wineglass without trying to sell more wine is doing herself, her employer, and the customer no favors). The decor is interesting in a somewhat chaotic, overblown fashion. But the food is really the weak link here. Pan roasted salmon served with a saffron risotto sounds appealing enough, but the execution suggests untrained line cooks guessing their way through procedures they don't understand and have never mastered. If you're looking for high quality cooking, keep looking. read more

The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I have a gluten allergy and they were very aware of what I could and could not eat. I got the fig and goat cheese pizza on a cauliflower crust and it was out of this world! I wish I lived closer so I could eat it all the time. read more
