Beautiful Resort, Disappointing Front Desk Experience…read more The resort itself is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds, comfortable villas, and a great restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience at check-in completely overshadowed what should have been a wonderful stay. After we had already checked in and paid the required incidental deposit, we were unexpectedly told to pay an additional deposit. When I questioned this, the Front Desk Supervisor, Michael, told us that if we did not pay immediately, our reservation would be canceled, despite the fact that our stay had already been paid for. What was even more disappointing was the way we were treated. Instead of trying to resolve the situation professionally, we were met with a rude and dismissive attitude, with repeated references to "hotel policy" rather than any genuine effort to help. This happened on my husband's birthday, and it completely ruined the beginning of our celebration. The property deserves five stars, but the customer service we received at the front desk was unacceptable. I sincerely hope management addresses this issue, because no guest should be treated this way.

Nice balcony, and actually saw a hot air balloon land in the nearby parking lot! Pool area was decent with lots of lounge chairs and a few cabanas. They do have room service, plenty of parking, on-site spa (did not try), and a wine tasting room (did not try) near the restaurant ... separated from the hotel. The decor in the lobby area is a little dated, but neat and clean -- front desk staff were very friendly.

It is located to the left of the Cove (pool area). Once inside, you check in & wait at a small seating area on the left side. Someone takes you back to give you a tour of the facility. This spa area is massive. Definitely worth your time and $. Huge locker room, with top and bottom lockers. Each locker complete with a nice and warm spa robe, water bottle & gray slippers. The slippers originally weren't my size, they were too big, so the staff helped get me my size. There is an indoor women's relaxation lounge in the 1st floor, a co-ed indoor & outdoor relaxation lounge on the 2nd floor. In the 2nd floor relaxation lounge, there are complimentary cucumber water, iced tea, nuts and fruit. In the first floor women's area, there are also private dressing rooms if you're shy to change in the locker room, showers, restroom, a separate area to do your hair and makeup. You take an elevator (2nd floor) to wait in the co-ed relaxation area for your massage/treatment. Absolutely love this spa!

When I brought this issue to their attention, there was no effort to correct it, honor the gift card, or provide a satisfactory resolution. Instead of standing behind their customers, they chose to enforce a policy that appears to conflict with state law. They were extremely rude.
