This was some good eating here. They actually put some care into your food. I came for brunch but it was probably one of the best in the cut food spots I been in awhile read more

I always look for a local favorite for breakfast. Granny's got awesome reviews and was only 10 minutes from our hotel. LOVED IT!! Quaint spot with ample parking. The friendliest staff and great vibe to the place. We ordered the chipped beef on biscuits, chocolate pancakes and the BACON. Best bacon I've had in a while. Crispy and perfectly done. They also feature adult coffees! I can't say enough about this place. My gf's daughter said it was her favorite place to eat and wished there was one in Ohio! Stop and see what Granny's has to offer! You will not be disappointed! read more

I'd give 10 stars if it were here. The best food . True hometown southern cooking. Little bit of a wait. But the waitress hustles. Best breakfast ever. read more

Simple little diner with a full bar! I had a breakfast steak bowl with a side of pancakes. It was very fresh, hot, and delicious. Lunch/dinner menu is pretty basic so I recommend checking out the breakfast menu for uniqueness. Service was friendly and attentive. read more

We came here on a Wednesday afternoon, around 1. It was a 1 woman show. She was taking orders, cooking and cleaning. We were a group of 4 and one ordered breakfast, one a burger, one a sandwich and one chicken tenders. All different meals. Came out together and hot and delish! If we are ever passing through again, we'd definitely stop for a great meal! read more

One word: YUM! We've driven by this place MANY times and always wondered what is was like. We were actually in PA one time to see a band and one of the band members asked us if we had ever been to Granny's because they've played there often. We were in the area early on a Saturday and decided to stop in for breakfast based on previous reviews. Needless to say the previous reviews were not wrong. It was delicious! It is a true hole in the wall, home cooking place. Our waitress was SUPER nice and the cook/owner (I think) was amazing! The inside is somewhat small but they also have a nice sized deck area with seating. In the evenings I would imagine it's more of a bar atmosphere as opposed to a restaurant. They don't have a website but they post their event schedule on their Facebook page. We both walked out of there full and happy and excited to have a "secret breakfast spot"...although I guess it's not really a secret based on the parking lot that was quickly filling. We WILL be back!!! read more

WOW! What a great place! Always good food and curious service! I've been there several times now and love this place and the staff!

A great little place in Berryville! Doesn't look like much. We had 12 family members on a Monday AM. We had attended our young ladies wedding the night before. They graciously took all of us in. Put several tables together, and wa-la! Coffee came out quickly. We had vegetarians, those who couldn't have dairy, and carnivores. We all ate well, and the food fresh and delicious! The waitress brought each family's order, cooked fresh and hot. This vegetarian, non-dairy eater enjoyed the fresh veggies in my egg white omelet. My hubby and daughter enjoyed their cheese and meat omlets with turkey bacon and fresh, fluffy made pancakes. The whole group was happy, and ready to head in our separate directions! As we were finishing, the groom's family came in to enjoy. Highly recommend for breakfast! Just be careful coming in. One in our group tripped on the small concrete lip and hit her nose on the wooden step. Fortunately she was ok. They gave us ice and paper towels. We had a Dr and RN with us! read more

Just understand what your experience will be. First, the food here is very good. We got the American platter and was pleased with the quality of food for the price. We were seated right away with several tables being available. The table had not been wiped off but we used our napkin and thought it was no big deal. We had 3 different wait staff during our time there. All friendly and worked hard. After our drinks got there, we waited another 25 minutes for our order to be taken. After our order was taken it was another 30 minutes for our food. Our coffee had only been refilled once. After over a total hour our food was served. We waited because our pancakes had not arrived. After we began eating they checked on us and we told them we didn't get our pancakes but please if they had not been started do not bring them due to timing. We were taking our last bites and the waitress brought our pancakes. We said um...okay but...and the waitress was gone. So we took a few more bites and walked up to a waitress and asked for our check. It arrived about 10 minutes later. To be fair, the food is good. It's a run down diner feel that attracts a lot of people. Would I come here again? No, but if you have the time 1.5-2 hours and you want to experience good country cooking this could be your place. read more

If you're looking for a fast meal you likely won't find it here, both times we've came we waited awhile for our food, some tables being served that arrived after us. I've never had a waitress approach us 4 times asking if we need refills when they can clearly see all our drinks are topped off and had been since they asked us 3 minutes prior. The food isn't bad but nothing I couldn't make at home. For 3 people our bill came to about $52 before tip. read more

Had breakfast here this morning. One of the most extensive breakfast menu's I've seen locally. The only thing I didn't see on the menu was puddin which I love to eat on pancakes with red onion. The country ham is delicious, tried my wife's. I had chip beef gravy on toast. Also available on pancakes and biscuits. Coffee was good, service was good, restaurant was clean. The only downside is it's located outside of Winchester on a bad busy stretch of highway. You need to know where it is or you may drive right past it before you get stopped. There is not much curb appeal, gravel parking lot and mediocre building appearance. Don't let that dissuade you because the food is really enjoyable. read more

Found this hidden gem while leaving Winchester! Had an awesome delicious breakfast. Just perfect. Wonderful staff and owners and "chef"

Great place! Had pancakes this morning and they were delicious. Light and fluffy. Portion was plentiful. Excellent service, very clean, pleasant ambiance. This place is surly blessed. Highly recommend. Will be going back to try more breakfast items and lunch & dinner dishes as well. Praise the Lord. read more

Just like Granny's kitchen, it might take more than a minute for your food to be ready, but it's worth the wait! They did only have one person working on the day we visited, but it was a holiday week. Like many other reviews, we were driving through and decided to go a little out of our way to eat at Granny's for lunch, and were glad we did. Our party included a picky child, a diabetic, and one on a diet, and we all left happy. We had a chef salad, a club sandwich, and a breakfast platter with pancakes, eggs, potatoes, and more. It's a quaint little place, clean, with plenty of parking. read more

A friend and I stopped here for breakfast on a Friday morning. I've driven by here a ton of times and wasn't sure what to expect but the food was great - I had a Greek omelet - eggs were cooked well and it was full of fresh tomatoes and spinach. I also got the pancakes and was pleasantly surprised - light, good flavor. It's just diner decor - but the service was excellent. Both the waitress and cook were very attentive. Would definitely come back. read more

I've been coming to Granny's for breakfast about 14 years off and on. Over the years Gary has done a tremendous job remodeling the place. I've just about always had a good experience there. If there ever was a problem Gary would take care of it. I love my pancakes and I consider Granny's as having the best! If they are super busy sometimes there is a wait, but everything is cooked when ordered! This is not a fast food restaurant. It's hard to find a good country restaurant in this day and time. Give them a try! read more

This small locally owned bar is sooo under the radar and it shouldn't be! This place has amazing karaoke nights on Thursdays (been booming when I have went) and they have amazing breakfast food too, especially for being a bar. The bartenders are also really fun and easy to be around. read more

Wow What a Diamond in the rough! Passing through and looking for breakfast. Went out of the way to try it on a whim, sure glad we did. Doesn't look like much on the outside and it comes up quick on the side of the road, so slow down and look. Great food. Friendly and knowledgeable owner / cook Gary, and waitress Melanie is a gem. I had the scrapple breakfast, scrapple "crisp" based on her recommendation and the blended textures made the dish. eggs medium and the home fries were awesome. Wife had corned beef hash breakfast w scrambled. Good coffee too. We will be back. read more

Saw that they were open until Midnight on Saturdays. Arrived at 10:45 PM and just got my food order in before the kitchen closed at 11:00. I was the only patron there and it looked like they wanted to close early. Food and service were good. Didn't know what to expect as it was my first time there. read more

Went for breakfast. Food was very good, staff were very friendly and service was quick. Would definitely recommend for a breakfast spot.

I live right by granny's and it was my first time ordering, As I just moved into the Winchester area. i was looking for a place to eat some breakfast and I remembered seeing a restaurant on the side of the road so I looked it up... I really wish I would've started going to this place sooner it's exactly what I needed for a nice breakfast. Other than the front door the service was good, the restaurant had a nice look to it. This place was good! The staff was very friendly and super attentive. I ordered the American, with the home fries being my favorite--they were flavorful and some parts crunchy. After passing this restaurant many times on trips between Maryland and Virginia I decided to stop in for breakfast. I ordered a cheese omelette, biscuit and fried potatoes. The potato serving size was quite small and they were just okay. The omelette was runny inside due to being undercooked. The biscuit was decent and very large. The servers were pleasant but not super attentive. As the experience was mediocre at best I have no plans to return. read more

The food was fresh and tasty. The servers were kind polite. The place was clean, including the restrooms. Don't be put iff that it is a full service bar. Stopped for breakfast. Traveling from NC to NY. Looked up diners on Yelp and found Granny's. Pulled off the Interstate and followed the directions. Actually passed it the first time and circled around, not an easy feat. But so happy we did. The food was excellent!! The coffee was very good but the Rueben sandwich was the best I have had in a very long time. The onion rings were on point. This place had great reviews so we stopped to check it out. It took 20 min just to get coffee and water, an hour before even ordering our food, and now we've been here for two hours and still don't have our food. The staff are nice but management needs to get an additional cook. There's only one guy in the kitchen and he is going to be overworked. Definitely never coming back! Very disappointed! read more

Don't be fooled by the looks of this restaurant, it is not a fancy place, but boy, the food was really good. There were three of us. Two had the pot roast. The meat was extremely tender, and the gravy was delicious. The homemade mashed potatoes were also very good. The other person was my mom, who had a chicken salad sandwich on rye. That was not on the menu, but my mom asked what the chicken salad was on the menu. The waitress explained it was grilled chicken on a salad. But then she said I can make you chicken salad if you want? My mom said the chicken salad was really good. Homemade garlic bread with the dinners was also good. A very good meal and the people there were very nice. We are not from the area, but if we ever get up this way again, we will definitely be stopping by. read more
