What a great little place. The food is great, inexpensive and the wait staff can be a lot of fun. I have come for breakfast a few times but never written a review. Today Is a meat omelette, rye toast and a bowl of grits. If you want a burger for lunch or eggs for dinner you can order what you want. There are daily specials as well as classic diner foods. I stopped in for breakfast recently on a rainy weekday morning. It was a rather late breakfast - say around the 11:00 am time frame - but the place was packed. I ordered a single biscuit with sausage gravy, two eggs over easy, hash browns, and corned beef hash - crispy. The food came out in short order. The eggs were cooked as specified - and the corned beef hash was crispy. My only criticisms are the sausage gravy really did not have much sausage flavor. And once you had a variety of really good scratch made corned beef hashes - it's always a disappointment to get the canned stuff. We have become regulars at this place! It's our go to breakfast spot. Service is amazing! You get seated rather quickly and food comes out fast and hot. The prices are good too. You get a lot of bang for your buck here and will not leave hungry. It's a small town, mom and pop shop. However; the inside is a lot better since the renovations. My mom used to bring me here when I was a little girl and I remember they used to have carpet and old doily curtains up. Those are all gone now and I like how the interior looks now. On the way home recently we decided to pop into Mom's and was quite pleased. It was quite busy around lunchtime with nearly every table taken. The staff were all nice and pleasant and the space was quite clean. There seemed to be a lot of regulars, which speaks well of the place. The service was attentive. The food was quite good, though nothing extraordinary. I did have a lot of buyer's remorse seeing other orders coming out of the kitchen. The cheeseburger was fine but reminded me of a frozen patty. The fries were quite good though. My son had the pancakes and eggs and devoured them--he went w/ the adult portion instead of the kids menu and it was more than enough. We grabbed a slice of coconut cream pie to go and that was the real highlight. The food, coupled w/ the price, is worth another visit next time you're in the area. read more

Food is great, fast friendly service. Its a simple country mom and pops fee to it. Only negative I found was they need blinds on the windows. It was pretty busy when I went and the only tables available were in the direct sunlight. I sat facing away from the sun as bsst I could. The place was packed Sunday morning when we arrived, we waited about 10 minutes and got seated no problem (we were also a party of 8, so 10 min wait wasn't bad at all)! You can tell this is a locals spot, the waitress was definitely chummier with others than our group, but that's ok. We ordered: - country fried steak - corned beef hash - country breakfast - side of grits - omelette - scrapple - hot chocolate I got the country fried steak and it was decent. Our friend was really excited to see scrapple on the menu! We don't have that on the west coast. My sis says the grits weren't very good. The service here is fast and courteous, and my waitress was extremely nice. However, I have mixed feelings about the food. I started out with a garden salad, but the salad had already started to go bad. Bits and pieces of it had already turned brown! Next, I had their turkey Reuben. We stopped by this place from our road trip. As you walk in they greeted me warmly and then you can sit whoever you want. Our server came quickly and explained quickly what their popular menu was and patiently answered our question. The menu was huge but they had their specials all on the board around the entrance. The food were okay pretty average but the services were really good. I got potato soup which was really thick. And meat loaf and side mashed potato with pinto beans.
