Awesome place for a quick bite! I came with my son to have breakfast before heading out to Shenandoah National Park. The service was great. The waitresses were very friendly and quick to seat us and take our order. My son got some pancakes and I got an order of Sunnyside up eggs with hash browns, a toasted buttered English muffin, and some biscuits with sausage gravy. All the food came out super quick and was delicious. I really like how they turned my sons pancakes into a pig. The only minor gripe for me was the amount of sausage in the gravy. I think it should had a little bit more, but considering the very fair prices, it's not much of an issue. The coffee here was also excellent. We also got a fruit cup for dessert which was a perfect ending to our meal. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but we had no issue finding seating. It was very clean and had a very welcoming atmosphere. Pricing was very fair considering the food portions (not huge, just definitely more than fair). We definitely would've made a second visit to try the other offerings, but we didn't have time. This place is definitely recommended for anyone in the area. read more

We were lucky enough to try this place just before the temporary July 2025 closure, and I feel very fortunate that we were able to do so! L'Dees completely fits the vibe of Front Royal, life feels a little easier when you walk in the door and see the atmosphere. It does feel like you are eating at someone's house, in the best of ways! We were served promptly when we walked in the door. There was a crowd inside, so we were afraid we would have to wait, but we immediately got to sit in a comfortable booth. We ordered a lot of food, because we are from Texas and knew we probably wouldn't get to come back anytime soon. I got the Virginia ham slice and pecan pancakes. My wife and my nephew both got the meat lovers omelette, and my wife also ordered a bagel with cream cheese. The pecan pancakes were delightful - fluffy and warm - there is syrup on the table for self-serve as well so you can load it up as much as you like. I was excited for the Virginia ham as well, and it was not a disappointment. I did not try the meat lovers omelette, but from my sight it looked like it was fresh off the skillet and packed with meat. My nephew said it was the best he had ever had. This is a great place, and out of everywhere we went on our trip to Front Royal I think it embodies the town the most. It's genuine food and real people. I can highly suggest L'Dees. read more

Stopped here for a late breakfast on our way out from 2 days in Shenandoah N.P. The restaurant is easy to find in cute Front Royal and is cute and immaculate! The food was the freshest breakfast food I've ever had! It really was so delicious and not swimming in butter and oil like a lot of other places. I had the Greek omelette. The spinach, tomatoes were fresh with delicious olives & feta cheese ...and they made it an egg white omelette as requested. I had it with their delicious home fries and a soft biscuit. My husband had the pancakes, bacon and eggs and we both loved everything... even the coffee was delicious. Our waitress was so sweet and welcoming and the food came out fast. Went to L'Dees Sunday morning to grab breakfast on our way home from a motorcycle trip. The place is pretty small and very popular, but they squeezed us in, and gave us a spot to pile our gear. Service was quick and friendly, the locals were nice, and the food was delicious. When we were full of good food and coffee, we got on the road. If you are in Front Royal, check them out, unless you have a large group, then you might want to go elsewhere, unless you're eating after the church rush! read more

I visited L'Dees for breakfast one weekday morning. Place was plenty busy for a weekday morning. I ordered one of their specials - which was sausage gravy over biscuits and eggs, home fries, plus I added a side of bacon. The meal was tasty and filling - standard diner grade breakfast quality. Like so many places, the sausage gravy clearly had bits of sausage throughout the gravy - but lacked a distinct sausage flavor. Per my usual protocol - I added black pepper and hot sauce to the sausage gravy. The eggs were cooked properly (over easy) - and the home fries were crisped up as requested. Bacon was good. They like maximizing the space. They had tables for 5 people but we were only 3 therefore they did not sit us. The space is very crowded, surprise that the fire Marshall would allow so many people in a small location. A very welcoming plus is the waitress. She is very attentive and nice.
