My sister and I love Apple fritters. We get them everywhere. This was our first time at this Granny's Donuts. They had one apple fritter left and we were excited. Unfortunately, even though it was fresh, it didn't have that crispy exterior that we are used to and love. Oh well. Their donut holes were fresh and service was good. read more

This was a random pit stop as we were leaving to go back to San Diego!! Now I'm a sucka for a good donut, and i Especially look out for apple fritters that are flat!! And they he just that, a nice flat Apple fritter that when I bit into it apple pieces shot into my mouth! Don't shops are always a gamble, but you can bet on Granny's!! I went to Grannys donut this morning, hoping to get some delicious donuts and some coffee. Once I drink some of their coffee, it tasted like pure water. I asked the person behind the counter to taste the coffee because it taste like water. He took a sip of it and said it taste just fine and that the coffee that I'm used to was just stronger.. I do drink coffee daily, but typically the coffee that I drink taste like actual coffee. The coffee literally tasted like water minus it being brown. Then after I watched him, add more grounds and make a better batch from my car. It's just so disappointing that he couldn't be honest and at least say I apologize. Let me make you a fresh batch. Instead, he pretended that his water tasting coffee was just fine. The coffee was just under three dollars for a small and 100% not worth it. read more

Wonderful shop to grab a quick breakfast sandwich before heading to the parks. The prices are CHEAP and the food was absolutely delicious. The people running the store are the sweetest. Staying at Great Wolf Lodge for a couple of nights, I noticed there was a Dunkin' located on the premises. I've never been a huge fan of their donuts so after a quick Yelp search, I notice Granny's Donut's was a short 10 minute walk. So I took the concrete journey to Granny's and it was worth every step! Friendly and engaging customer service made ordering simple and fast. The cake and fried donuts were so much better than anything I could have gotten from Dunkin'. The surprise item I really enjoyed was the ham and cheese croissant. We ate the croissant the next day but it was still very flaky, tasty, and was a nice alternative to the food options at the lodge. If you're staying a couple days at Great Wolf and you're willing to brave the semi-sketchy walk, Granny's Donuts is worth the effort. If you're driving to Granny's then for sure make it a pit stop! read more

Surprised it's taken me this long to write a review for this place considering how frequent I come here before work. So they are located very close to where I work. I don't buy donuts by the dozen for my coworkers but would just pop in here for donut holes or a twist or branch off to the numerous selection that they have. Always have never disappointed. I guess the only disappointment is when they run out of donut holes but that's usually because I have a later shift so they are all gone. Granted while I don't live near to the location, I have introduced family and friends to Granny's donuts. They've all enjoyed them and have been pleasantly surprised compared to other local donut shops around town. I will continue to stop by here and there, before work and will continually recommend this local donut shop to whom I know. read more

I heard great things about this place so I came in. I saw this place closed at 6PM so I came in at 5:35 PM. The lights were dimmed and more than half of the donuts were thrown out. The girl told me they're already closed. I'm sitting in the parking lot right now and it's 5:43 PM and she's locking up the store and getting in her car. I'll give this place another chance eventually but right now, I'm pretty disappointed. I close up at a local eatery so I know what it's like but I'd never close earlier than the posted business hours without a good reason. read more

Small, classic SoCal looking donut joint in a little strip mall a couple miles from the Disneyland Park entrance. In addition to traditional donuts, they have a variety of breakfast and lunch croissant sandwiches with meats, cheeses, eggs and/or vegetables. There was a little line when I arrived with a constant flow of people rolling through. The man that worked the counter was very nice and provided great service. Really bad customer service. Went here with 2 other co workers to try out and the lady was very pushy and rude. No one else was there just us so there was no need to be rude. Kept asking is that it after each of us were ordering while looking at the menu. Just the vibe and her tone of voice was enough for me to get my drink from 7-11 instead. As we left I still said thank you as we walked out and didn't get a response! First and last time I'll go here for me! read more

I stopped by Granny's Donuts while visiting the area and LOVED their donuts. They were so fresh and each donut had its own flavor. I especially liked this because so many donut shops sell the same base donut and change things up with the toppings. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. This place is great! It is a family run business and i have been coming here for quite some time to grab the fluffy sugar coated treats that my team loves so much. They are always friendly and remember everyone's names that come in! I always get 2 dozen donuts and a ham and cheese croissant when i come in and everything is always delicious! (you have to get the croissant! It is amazing and I have ordered that from many places but it's the best here) One morning I was there at 5:00AM... He was surprised to see me; he set up my usual order and just handed me a ham and cheese croissant because he had just baked them and they were hot. At that time in the morning, I was touched by his gesture. I gratefully at breakfast that morning! You will love the taste of the donuts, love the service and you will definitely be back. Small local shop and donuts are good and the size was bigger than the ones I'm used to (Krispy Kreme, Winchelles, Dunkin' donuts, etc) Kids approved. Asked them to compare these to the above brands and they preferred the donut they had from this shop. For those whom are wondering, these donuts that I purchased were not cake, dense like as some like their donuts this way. It's fluffy, light, airy with a little density with a nice chew and not as sweet as Krispy Kreme as one of the kids described their chocolate bar (sweetness is relative). I thought it was overall sweet like any donut is. And not sure of other donuts. These pertains to the chocolate/white/glazed donuts with confetti and chocolate bar. They have regular size donuts too but did not try those. Also got a croissant ham, bacon and cheese sandwich and the person at the the counter (assuming owner) asked if I wanted a couple of pepperoncini and mayo with the sandwich which was a nice touch, making sure I didn't want something in it like mayo without me asking about it. Thank you for being open so early and for being so sweet when most people are still in bed. The donut holes are really tasty and you really can't beat the price. I wish I would have gotten a sprinkles donut because they look so yum. The ice cream is really delicious as well, but next time I stop by I'm going to have to try a breakfast bagel instead. read more

This place has been my favorite donut shop ever since I moved into the area 5yrs ago. Now you may be wondering why I'm leaving 4 stars for my favorite place. Favorites doesn't have to be 5 star everything if 1 thing is great, however, I left a 4 because I want the place to improve. Your glazed donut and strawberry strussel are the best. Your strawberry and cream cheese croissant leaves some to desire. The dough needs to be thinner, more flakey...like literally more croissant like..since it is a croissant right? Other than that, I will continue to buy glazed donuts and strussels without hesitation. read more

Granny's Donuts has a few locations that I have come across over the years. This location is clean. They offer your standard variety of donuts and add some of the standard fancier donuts that include: Maple with bacon, Oreo and others. The prices are excellent and everything tasted fresh. This is a place they may look old school, but offers a nice variety of fresh donuts. read more

My family gets donuts here every time we come to Disneyland and they have yet to disappoint. We haven't had a bad donut here. The buttermilk bars are to die for, the cake donuts are killer, the jelly donuts are absolute delicious. I could go on for days. Don't sleep on this gem! Sure they don't have any over-the-top decorations on their donuts or fancy flavors, but they have your classics that are made well. Aside from donuts, they offer coffee, sandwiches, and smoothies! If you're traveling through, rest ssured that they accept credit cards despite being a smaller business. While it's not the kind of place you go to for the 'gram, it's delicious donuts for a reasonable price. I've found that my favorite item after a couple visits is the jalapeno ham and cheese croissant (They also have a regular ham and cheese croissant for those adverse to peppers). When the nice lady who works here asks if you would like it heated, definitely do it! It's even better when the cheese is a little oozy. I'll definitely be coming back soon. I'm still thinking about the ham and cheese croissant I had earlier today. read more

The place is big with several seating tables inside with radio music for background. The lady there is nice, friendly and sweet of helping for the order. The place is bright & clean with varies choices of donuts as well as sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch. All are tasty and not sweet for the donuts, which is great for me. They do have coffee, sodas, and others plus they do sell lottery tixs here too. Not bad for a donut shop.

The OJ was squeezed for me while I waited and then blended with fresh fruit. I also had a chocolate doughnut. The young lady threw in a donut hole to make it extra special. The owners are on the premises, They are socialable and know their customers. They will make whatever you order. The walls are covered with unique meals that are named after the people that requested them. Half the fun is checking out what other people eat!

I ordered an iced coffee because it looked awesome on the poster, but it was just donut shop coffee, cold, with coffee mate creamer on top. I couldn't drink it. Props for having the tiny cubed ice, but the coffee did not taste good. I liked all the options for breakfast and the juice bar! I think next time I will just change my order slightly, skip the coffee, and get a donut.

I entered a busy place with patrons ordering and waiting on their specialty croissant breakfast sandwiches. The menu board has a pretty big selection and actually the lovely missus had some on previous visits before. I liked the buttery croissants. But today I wanted to do a sweet tooth run. A plumpy lemon filled for the lovely missus and for me it is that huge apple filled sugary bear claw of a delicious wake me up donut/pastry. The lady was helpful seeing all the other persons waiting and she got the order quickly ready. Sophia's Donuts remains on our "donuts" list for sure.

Both drinks are very astringent and leaves a very bad dry aftertaste. The strawberry double matcha is a bit more tolerable, very sweet but still very astringent. Double matcha was watered down, bitter, couldn't taste the matcha too much, not very sweet, and astringent.
