    Granite Expo / Granite Counter/Sink/Backsplash
    Chris H.

I went to Granite Expo to pick up a Granite Counter/Sink/Backsplash for my downstair's bathroom. Their prices were very reasonable, and they had a lot more products to view than Lowe's or Home Depot. Their customer representative was very helpful with selecting granite counter. If you want to remodel your bathroom or kitchen, Granite Expo should be your first stop.

Thank you to everyone who helped us get this project done. The granite countertops look amazing in the kitchen. You guys are amazing, especially your customer service. Looking forward to our next project.

A big thank you to everyone who helped get this kitchen done. You guys are amazing and your customer service is stellar. Can't wait for our next project.

I would give these people a negative rating. The showed up to do counter tops and blocked my wife in the driveway and wouldn't let her move her car either because they thought they wouldn't leave any powder or debris from their cutting, or the fact that their workers didn't speak a lick of English. They ended up leaving residue all over my car. When we end to bring it to their attention they denied, shocker. There is no way that there is a coat all over every inch of my car that is identical to the counter tops they installed. I'm going to call tomorrow and see what they can do. Other wise it's bad review after bad review EVERYWHERE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. IM NOT OUT FOR A NEW PAINT JOB. I'm far from petty, but they need to own their mistake and detail my car and get it to where it was prior to their visit

This is all the damage that was done to my cabinets and they expected me to bring them back This company and cabinets are trash.

I have no pictures to post because they never delivered my cabinets. I confirmed with Francisco that my cabinets would be delivered to my house but when I called the location they said I needed to pick them up if they weren't installing them. This is the first I'm hearing this. I spoke to the owner and he has the worst customer service I have ever received. He basically called me a liar. He refused to make this right and is leaving me to figure things out. I have never in my life been treated this poorly by a business I supported. Now I have to pay even more money to get the cabinets here. I am livid. I would not recommend doing business here. Unless you are planning on picking up your own cabinets. Lesson learned. I should have stuck with the big box company at least they deliver and make sure the customer is taken care of.

We wanted this combo so bad, but this quartzite could not be delivered in the island size, so we scrapped the kitchen plan.

We spent a lot of time on two occasions at the Granite Expo. Our kitchen cabinet painter referred us to them after he himself had a positive experience with them. Although, we ultimately have not chosen to replace our kitchen counters and island top at this time, we appreciate all of the time and attention given to us by both Chelsea and Alex. Our youngest came with and she made friends with all the employees and wanted to stay! There was one other gentleman at the counter who assisted us, but we did not get his name. We fell in love with a quartzite called Aquarella. Unfortunately, the large island we have would require a size of slab that they will no longer deliver in this type of stone, since it broke during transport, they said. We appreciate their honesty. We are not looking for typical marble looking quartz and the blue and beige in this stone was very unique. We tried looks subbing the island piece for something else, but we decided to wait until they have something in stock that will cover the counters and island alike. In the future, when we are ready to replace counter tops and can find the look we are going for, which is not the typical marble-looking quartz, we plan to return to the Granite Expo.

Wow, lots of bad reviews but that wasn't my experience. I bight several slabs of quartz from them at a great price and had my contractor install. I also went back for a kitchen faucet. I had some clearance issues and needed a particular style that was hard to find. Adriana at the front desk was very helpful and went through catalogs with me until I found the one that would work. Not sure why all the bad reviews for customer service, she was pleasant and helpful and I'll be back for more kitchen and bath as my renovation project is not complete yet. Thanks Adriana!

After a quick Yelp search, we came across Elite Custom Cabinetry and Fidel was able to see what was already done and listened to what I wanted to do. He quickly understood what was needed, listened for any design input, even provided some options with regards to trim styles to be installed in between each bookcase. On the day of installation, just a few hours went by and the crown molding, various pieces of trim, and nearly perfectly matching baseboards were installed. Lots of little bits here and there were considered to truely give the appearance of a built-in library. The work was perfect, especially given where the starting line was. When the work was done, their clean up was so good, not a piece of dust was left behind. On top of everything, pricing was very reasonable. For the work that was done, the cost was very fair. I would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone looking to complete a bookshelf/library project. I am sure they do other types of work but as far as libraries go, nothing but fantastic work.

From the very first visit, Paul set himself apart from other contractors I had met with -- he arrived fully prepared with a variety of material and color samples, thoroughly explained the refacing process, covered warranty details, took measurements, and even designed the layout, all in a single appointment. There was never any pressure to sign, which I genuinely appreciated. When questions came up after his visit, Paul responded quickly with a phone call followed by a detailed email complete with photos and examples. That level of follow-through is hard to find. Once I signed the contract, Jaime came by to confirm measurements and listen to my ideas, translating them into a well-defined project plan. The results speak for themselves -- everything was completed ahead of schedule. The cabinet refacing surpassed my expectations, and the material we selected not only looks stunning but feels great and is effortless to clean. The new coffee bar in the living room has become an absolute showstopper, and the added cabinets in the laundry area are both practical and well-crafted. Miguel, who handled the final installation, was a true professional -- communicative, courteous, and a pleasure to have in our home. The team wrapped up with a thorough walk-through and left everything immaculate. I've already recommended JV Cabinets to friends and family, and I would do so again without hesitation.

Wade's design expertise completely transformed the functionality and usefulness of our kitchen. He was very easy to work with and really listened to what frustrated us about our old kitchen and, through creative design, was able to utilize every inch of space in our previously awkward kitchen. He convinced us to turn the direction of the island and it made a world of difference. We were able to incorporate a large pantry cabinet with roll-out trays that I thought wasn't possible, and an industrial-like lazy susan that has opened up a previously unusable blind corner. We wanted a white kitchen, but not too white. Wade helped us choose a beautiful grayish white for the main cabinets and then he perfectly matched a piece of furniture we had with a midcentury modern brown stain finish for the island and our living room built-in cabinets. I opted for pull out shelves on almost every base cabinet and can't believe how much they help. Even with a remote design and build, the cabinets arrived fully assembled and fit every space perfectly - they didn't need to make any adjustments, which in today's world is pretty impressive. In fact, Castlewood's overall design process and cabinet delivery portion of our remodel was by far the easiest piece of our renovation project. It is so pleasant to cook and hang out in our new space. We love our new kitchen!

During this entire process Chris (and his workers) were exemplary. He knows Davis regulations and building codes like the back of his hand, clearly presents his prices, and helped us navigate many tricky issues. For example, upon doing our electrical work it was discovered that almost none of our outlets were grounded, presenting a major fire-hazard. Chris worked with us to replace these at a minimal charge. The process went very smoothly considering I had already purchased the range top, hood, and sink. I had already selected which quartz I want to use too. I was working with another company, but lost all confidence in them delivering. Submitted for the free quote and Jarren came out to do it. I was very impressed by the detailed analysis and design confirmation of my choices. He already knew how much quartz I would purchase and how I can maximize the material with minimal waste. Not a lot of vendors share this insight on a quote. In addition, I needed a cabinet modification. Switching from cooktop to range top. No one wanted to do the cabinet modification. This was right up Stonecrafts alley. They do cabinets!! Having experience with costs, he was within the range I was expecting, so I was happy to move forward. The installation schedule was shared and executed according to plan. At no point did I have to adjust my plans. The installation team was very professional. I am very happy with the results. I would recommend Stonecraft for your kitchen projects. At the very least give them a chance to earn your business. When I get to a bathroom refresh, I will give Jarren and company a call!! Based on our bad experience we do not recommend StoneCraft as a general contractor for a kitchen…read moreremodeling project. StoneCraft subcontracted out various portions of our kitchen remodel project but did a poor job of coordinating, overseeing and communicating with those subcontractors (Team). StoneCraft technically never completed the project not did a StoneCraft representative perform a detailed monitoring of the project as it progressed. Here are a few examples of StoneCraft's lack of oversight and follow through: The Team that demolished the granite countertop did not provide a schematic diagram so that the quartz installation Team would know the correct number of holes necessary for the sink area. They didn't account for the instant hot water dispenser and the associated hose. Weeks later a hole had to be drilled in the already installed quartz countertop. Unfortunately we had to purchase a new instant hot water dispenser because the demolition Team lost or threw away key parts of the old one. After the old granite countertop was demolished and the new quartz countertop installed our Bosch dishwasher no longer worked. It turned out, a hose was damaged during the disconnecting and/or reconnecting of the various hoses underneath the newly installed sink. We had to hire another contractor to diagnose the problem and to fix the dishwasher connections. The StoneCraft representative, Jarren, denied responsibility because, "StoneCraft didn't move the dishwasher during the project". However, StoneCraft, per the contract, removed and reinstalled hoses. The Team installed two electrical outlets that didn't work so they had to be prompted to return to fix the problem. The Team had to be called back to repaint areas of the kitchen ceiling that they initially painted, although poorly. The Team had to reorder the correct kitchen floor tiles twice, once because they brought the wrong pattern and a second time because they didn't bother to look in the boxes to notice the contents were not correct. Finally, the team delivered a pantry door sans a handle (only a hole). Jarren ghosted us so we had to hire a handyman to install a newly purchased door handle. Although hiring StoneCraft was a big mistake we learned a lesson but at least we kept the numerous emails that documented the above ordeal.
