We had our floors installed in 2020 using the WaterShield SPC Rigid Core with IXPE Premium Underlayment a product advertised as premium vinyl. By 2024, we began noticing significant issues: the flooring started chipping, peeling, and even separating, leaving noticeable gaps between the planks. We've taken good care of them cleaning them properly and following all the care instructions. Still, the damage showed up way too soon. We spent $13,000 expecting a long-lasting result, but that hasn't been the case. We contacted the company as soon as the problems began and were told it could be a product defect. They mentioned needing to submit a claim, but we've only received the runaround since then. Despite multiple follow-up calls including several from my husband we were eventually ignored altogether. The condition of the floors has only worsened, and it's frustrating to have such poor customer service after making a major investment. I would recommend looking elsewhere, or at the very least, ensuring you get a written warranty that covers your floors for more than just a couple of years. read more

As we approached what we felt was the Herculean task of recarpeting our 2800sf home we started with "value for dollar" and the "Big Box Stores", Costco, Home Depot, and Lowes. When we moved into our home in 2012 we went with the Mohawk line through Costco. I built my spreadsheet and we commenced to populate it while comparing prices to what we paid 12 years ago. Our current customer service experience with Costco was the best, then Home Depot, and a distant third Lowes. After an unproductive visit to Lowes Vacaville, we decided to go for a frozen yogurt break and as we were finishing up our yogurt we decided to search for carpet "near me" and AllAboutFloors was just down the street. We walked into the "Showroom" and were greeted by the two owners, Ulyses and Tim. Ulyses Macay who primarily handles all their residential accounts spent time with us at the store and then came to our home with samples. With Ulyses' gentle guidance we selected two carpets and Ulyses quickly came back with his quotes, and to our delight his price was 60% less than Costco, 33% less than Home Depot, and 27% less than Lowes. In addition to the pricing, we felt very confident that there would be no changes/additional charges if we selected All About Floors, we signed and pre-paid 50% of the contract price to initiate the carpet purchase. I am a retired Civil Engineer and my father was a General Contractor, who did high end remodels and custom homes in Beverly Hills, West LA, and Palm Springs/Palm Desert. Hello Ulysess. Prior to sending your person back to do touch ups you were very dismissive and rude on the phone. Your worker was equally rude and it made me uncomfortable to have him in my home. Due to your response, I let things go and decided to follow up with a new contractor. As I noted in my review. You incorrectly stated that I had a $700 balance. That is not true and I can post the receipt paid here if you like. The baseboards are primed only. This has been confirmed by other contractors. I reached out to you via email recently and never received a response. The condition of the door casings (which I don't believe is as poor as you stated, because they were intact but needed fresh paint) has nothing to do with the overcut door jambs or unevenly cut flooring, or unfinished transitions. I paid a fair price, arranged in advance, and did not appreciate the way you did business, or the lack of customer service. Hence this review. read more

In 2019 I started collecting bids to do the floors in my hours, and that is how I met Ulysses. At the time I decided to contract with him because he was on time, and he prepared the estimate as I asked him. Then the Covid happened and everything stopped till September of 2021, when I was ready to do the floors. I contacted him and we scheduled the work for October 18. He send two nice Gentleman to my house on October 18. I explained to them how important it is to finish the job on time, their skill was very impressive. (I am a retired General Contractor). I have held off for some time to post a review! I didn't want to give them 3 stars but I feel that is fair! The communication was not good from the beginning and I felt that I should not move forward at that time, but went against my feelings only because my husband and I really liked the owner and staff in person! I do have to say they did fit us into their schedule which was huge for us and got the job done in two days! We had our two carpeted downstairs living spaces changed to laminate floors that we are very happy with. They connect to tile flooring so a laminate divider had to be placed. When installed they left blue painters tape to make sure the glue was able to do its thing and we left it for 3 days untouched due to being out of town. Shortly after removing the tape my husband noticed one area was loose, shortly after that he noticed the other area was loose. We contacted the company by phone and email. I talked to the owner twice and my husband also talked to him as well. We were given two dates and times and no one arrived. We have yet to hear any response by phone or email since. This was back in September! I was going to reach out one more time but decided not to...only because we have not been rude, unpleasant or unkind in any way. We have been very understanding and flexible and reaching out again makes me feel like I am annoying them! It's too bad! read more

The installation crew was excellent. They were courteous and professional. They really knew what they were doing. They recommended pulling out the old baseboards and installing new ones after they laid the floor so there wasn't a gap by the baseboards.
