Alex and his crew installed our engineered hardwood floor in 2021. I was waiting to review to see what issues came up then life happened and I forgot until now. Anyway, there were some bumps during the job (it was pretty big), but Angel did a fantastic job, just as Alex promised. Here we are in 2026 with no problems and we still get compliments on the floor all the time. I have recommended Solano Hardwoods and will continue to do so. read more

The owner came and gave us a reasonable quote on our half finished floors. The next few days Angel and the rest of the team showed up on time. They are professional and the quality of work is top notch. The timeliness of completion of work is also on point. They did extra work by adding trim pieces which we didn't expect them to do. They go above and beyond and we will be referring them to our friends and family because we can vouch for them based on our experience. We are happy to have our go to for flooring work. If you are thinking, don't look anywhere else because you are getting a work of a specialist only dealing with floors. I give them A++ if I'm the BBB. read more

Alex's crew is absolutely amazing! His crew were such gentleman and very courteous. They kept any dust down, laid plastic on our white carpet and kept everything so clean!!! We were referred to Solano Hardwoods by family who had their floors done with them. Solano Hardwoods replaced the tile/carpet on the first floor of our home with new luxury vinyl tile and the overall experience was excellent. Highly recommend them to anyone. Glenn - Very knowledgeable / helpful. Helped us with floor selection at the store. Let us check out floor samples from the store so we could see them in our home. Alex - Very responsive and quickly answered questions. Easy to work with. They were able to get us in before our furniture and appliances were delivered! Angel - Was the floor installer. Always came on time and secured property when leaving. Beautiful install work. Tips for others: - Pay by check if you can to avoid the credit card convenience fee. - It's likely that you will have to get your toilet re-installed by a plumber if you are re-doing floors in your bathroom. - There will be a lot of dust if you're doing demo of tile to install new floors. read more

Alex took my mom's $500 deposit and didn't show up for the job, rescheduled many times, and eventually just stopped taking her calls and texts. I contacted him to follow up and he did the same to me. I had to make calls to him and his office multiple times a week for many weeks to get her money back. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT use them. Other locals have had the same problem. read more

I had bamboo flooring installed throughout my living and kitchen about five years. I was told it was water and scratch resistant. This was obviously not true! We put up with it until our dishwasher sprung a leak and soaked the bamboo wood right in front. Even though I was home and cleaned it up right away, the damage was done (see pics). I called around to see if anyone could do a repair for the specific area, but everyone told me they didn't do that unless they originally installed it. I then spoke with Alex Sedat at Solano Hardwoods! After hearing what happened he asked why I hadn't called my home owner insurance company. It never even occurred to me. Alex was amazing! He explained the process and what I needed to do to open a claim. Once I had my adjuster person information, I gave it to Alex and he took over. The same day of our first phone call we did a FaceTime and I showed him the damage. He then came in person before talking to my insurance and confirmed everything that could be done. I could not be happier with my experience with Solano Hardwood and Alex! I ended up getting all of the bamboo replaced, as it was "continuous" and it only cost me the insurance co-pay. and a little extra for extra work I requested (outside of the insurance claim). Alex advocated for what was needed and made the whole process incredibly easy. I wish I had other work for them to do! The workers were also amazing and got the whole job done in two days (almost 800 square feet). My photos of the damaged floor are not able to upload to Yelp, but I attached the pictures of the completed work. read more

I'll start by just saying that these have to be the nicest people in Vacaville! I went in looking for a match for a vinyl plank and they not only helped me find a substitute, they went above and beyond and broke down an extra box just to get me a couple extra planks. They were so nice and left such a great impression that I am going to have them refinish my bathroom floor from which I will be posting pictures of. Please choose this store if you're considering flooring. read more

I can't say enough good things about this business! Our floors turned out beautifully, and everything about the experience from beginning to end was smooth, professional, and much easier than expected. From our visit to the storefront where we received assistance and helpful input with choosing material, the ease and flexibility of scheduling the install, to the efficient and skillful work of the floor installers -- Alex and his team are the best! I have always had carpet. I have dogs. I was constantly cleaning the carpet and wished I had flooring. I recently changed the carpet and put flooring throughout my whole house. It's beautiful, so much easier to care for, plus my rooms look bigger without the carpet. My rooms smell nicer as there is no carpet soaking up dog or food smells. I was lucky that someone had cancelled their appt so within 2 weeks of deciding I wanted flooring, it was in. The flooring guys moved the furniture and we careful with my belongings. read more

This is my second review of Solano Hardwoods. Had to install in a new dishwasher but it was blocked by the toe kick that was installed when I had my kitchen remodel. Well, where do I begin, I am only posting this because we just got harassed by the owner of the company (Alex) by him parking and blocking our driveway to get monies that he thinks we owe him. This all started August 3rd 2021 and we didn't get our floors until December. There was on his part such unprofessionalism in often not returning messages and texting promising "I'll call you right back," or "I'll call you tomorrow" and then not doing so at all. Making promises about the arrival of our floors and downright lying to us. He asked for payment with check immediately even though he did not have our floors yet. We paid him in full September, and we didn't get our floors until December. He gave us two estimates for two different floors and in the end, he didn't want to honor the price he gave us and promised. In fact, he wanted to charge us more. And never provided us any documentation or invoice telling us why. And Apon delivery he never gave us a receipt. read more

The guys from Solano Hardwoods did a great job. Alex came by a few times to give us options, was quick and efficient in his measurements, and was able to schedule us an install date that worked around our schedules. The floors turned out amazing, there's no doubt about that but the most important thing in this entire process that is important to me is the prep work that the crew did before installing the floors. My house is like an onion, the more layers I peel back, the more things I find that seem to be wrong... Once the old carpets were pulled back, we discovered that my subfloor wasn't great. Re-sheeting the whole house wasn't an option, so the crew came up with solutions that worked, and spent the time to do them correctly. They kept me in the loop throughout the entire process, and didn't mind me annoyingly looking over their shoulders. They're true professionals. They spent the time to remove every single staple from the floor, and swept up the debris far more than even I would have. They were in and out in two and a half days, and turned out an amazing set of floors. You pay a premium, for sure, but the end result is a floor that I know was installed perfectly, and will last as long as I need it to. Any future flooring projects that I'm not brave enough to do myself, will absolutely be done by Solano Hardwoods. read more

I initially went to Solano Hardwoods to clean up a flooring job done by Lowe's. I was immediately greeted by Glen who was not only knowledgeable about the product but was also a genuinely nice person. Solano Hardwoods did the install in a cost effective timely manner and maintained constant communication at all times. Alex (the owner) came out the next day for an estimate. Alex not only measured my floor, but also took the time to listen and get to know me to decide the best option. The install crew was neat, professional, and did an amazing job. If you're looking for a way to make it feel like you're in a new house without having to buy a new house, replacing the floors is what you should do! Alex and his team replaced the floor throughout our home with Mannington laminate. Our house feels brand new! Alex was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about his craft. Whenever I had a question or concern he was always available to answer my questions and address my concerns. Our project was estimated to take 3 days but ended up taking 5 days due to some unexpected troubles in the kitchen. But Alex and his team handled it well and got the job done! Angel and his crew did a great job preparing our subfloor and installing our new flooring. Everything looks great!

It's so hard to find quality work, but Solano floors fits the bill. They did our downstairs over a year ago and it looks amazing. When our "untrained" yorkie caused it to buckle in a couple of places, Alex even said he would replace the buckled flooring for free. We're having an upstairs room done this week and we went back to Alex for the work because we know Alex and his company will do an excellent job! His installers are very professional and do a terrific job cleaning up the job when completed... I'd recommend Solano floors to everyone! read more

The sales team at Solano Hardwoods is awesome! We wanted to visit the store on a Saturday but got stuck in traffic. Glenn waited for us past their business hour. He listened and understood our need well and helped us pick a water proof product that we absolutely love. When our contractor had a problem with the installation of the stairs, I called Solano Hardwoods for help. Harrison was in the office and called the manufacturer for me right away even though he was not the one who sold me the products. I truly appreciated his excellent customer service. The 5-star rating goes to the sales team. Kindly note if you need to return products, Solano Hardwoods doesn't seem to welcome it. There was a 25% restocking fee which I could accept. I had 3 unused boxes to return but Alex, who deals with returns, did not return my call. Make sure your contractor gives you an accurate measurement so you don't get stuck with products that you can't return and ended up keeping them in the garage. read more
