Alex took my mom's $500 deposit and didn't show up for the job, rescheduled many times, and eventually just stopped taking her calls and texts. I contacted him to follow up and he did the same to me. I had to make calls to him and his office multiple times a week for many weeks to get her money back. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT use them. Other locals have had the same problem. read more

I went in looking for a match for a vinyl plank and they not only helped me find a substitute, they went above and beyond and broke down an extra box just to get me a couple extra planks. I had bamboo flooring installed throughout my living and kitchen about five years. I was told it was water and scratch resistant. This was obviously not true! We put up with it until our dishwasher sprung a leak and soaked the bamboo wood right in front. Even though I was home and cleaned it up right away, the damage was done (see pics). I called around to see if anyone could do a repair for the specific area, but everyone told me they didn't do that unless they originally installed it. I then spoke with Alex Sedat at Solano Hardwoods! After hearing what happened he asked why I hadn't called my home owner insurance company. It never even occurred to me. Alex was amazing! He explained the process and what I needed to do to open a claim. Once I had my adjuster person information, I gave it to Alex and he took over. The same day of our first phone call we did a FaceTime and I showed him the damage. He then came in person before talking to my insurance and confirmed everything that could be done. I could not be happier with my experience with Solano Hardwood and Alex! I ended up getting all of the bamboo replaced, as it was "continuous" and it only cost me the insurance co-pay. and a little extra for extra work I requested (outside of the insurance claim). Alex advocated for what was needed and made the whole process incredibly easy. I wish I had other work for them to do! The workers were also amazing and got the whole job done in two days (almost 800 square feet). I have always had carpet. I have dogs. I was constantly cleaning the carpet and wished I had flooring. I recently changed the carpet and put flooring throughout my whole house. It's beautiful, so much easier to care for, plus my rooms look bigger without the carpet. My rooms smell nicer as there is no carpet soaking up dog or food smells. Well, where do I begin, I am only posting this because we just got harassed by the owner of the company (Alex) by him parking and blocking our driveway to get monies that he thinks we owe him. This all started August 3rd 2021 and we didn't get our floors until December. There was on his part such unprofessionalism in often not returning messages and texting promising "I'll call you right back," or "I'll call you tomorrow" and then not doing so at all. Making promises about the arrival of our floors and downright lying to us. He asked for payment with check immediately even though he did not have our floors yet. We paid him in full September, and we didn't get our floors until December. He gave us two estimates for two different floors and in the end, he didn't want to honor the price he gave us and promised. In fact, he wanted to charge us more. And never provided us any documentation or invoice telling us why. And Apon delivery he never gave us a receipt. read more

The guys from Solano Hardwoods did a great job. Alex came by a few times to give us options, was quick and efficient in his measurements, and was able to schedule us an install date that worked around our schedules. The floors turned out amazing, there's no doubt about that but the most important thing in this entire process that is important to me is the prep work that the crew did before installing the floors. My house is like an onion, the more layers I peel back, the more things I find that seem to be wrong... Once the old carpets were pulled back, we discovered that my subfloor wasn't great. Re-sheeting the whole house wasn't an option, so the crew came up with solutions that worked, and spent the time to do them correctly. They kept me in the loop throughout the entire process, and didn't mind me annoyingly looking over their shoulders. They're true professionals. They spent the time to remove every single staple from the floor, and swept up the debris far more than even I would have. They were in and out in two and a half days, and turned out an amazing set of floors. You pay a premium, for sure, but the end result is a floor that I know was installed perfectly, and will last as long as I need it to. Any future flooring projects that I'm not brave enough to do myself, will absolutely be done by Solano Hardwoods. read more

Alex and his team replaced the floor throughout our home with Mannington laminate. Our house feels brand new! Alex was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about his craft. It's so hard to find quality work, but Solano floors fits the bill. They did our downstairs over a year ago and it looks amazing.
