Called for a maintenance checkup on our HVAC, they scheduled me an appointment 3-4 days later and dropped by to perform cleaning on our outside unit and the connecting piece into our garage. Technician was very knowledgeable, described any potential issues, and provided tips for how to self-maintain the unit. Also was able to replace older parts on the spot. I highly recommend their services, I will be going back to Grande for future maintenance and servicing. read more

Updating my review. 9 months later, we had Grande come out again for issues with our AC. We had previously had another company come out and knew our compressor was bad; however, they failed to communicate with us the day of the repair and missed their repair window by several hours...so we canceled after missing a day of work and decided to have Grande back out. Our system is only a couple years old, so we are still covered under manufacturer's warranty. While parts are covered, we are still on the hook for labor. The previous company we had come out gave us an estimate of $1600. GRANDE CAME IN WITH A QUOTE FOR $4600. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. NO. 1) APPLES TO APPLES comparison for JUST LABOR on the quote was $3200. On top of that, they were charging additional $270 for additional freon. THIS IS NEARLY $2,000 MORE THAN THE OTHER QUOTE WE RECEIVED. 2) Grande tried to tag on all sorts of other things to the already painful bid - they had new things they felt weren't installed correctly (things that weren't mentioned 9 months ago when they were here). They also tried to add on their yearly service thing, which fine if you want to shoot your shot to pitch that, but you're giving sticker shock, bro We paid the $89 service call fee but we will not be back as your labor should not be $2k more than the next guy. This feels egregiously wrong. What a bummer to go from 5 stars to 1 in less than a year. read more

I've held off on writing a review for Grande Air Solutions because I wanted to experience the full range of their services and customer satisfaction. This past summer, our A/C unit went out when outside temperatures were already in the 90s. Inside the house, we reached temperatures in the high 80s, which, combined with humidity, made for a terrible quality of life. We called around for some quotes, and Grande was one of two. The first reputable company was very professional and gave us several quotes based on what we wanted and could afford. This company primarily installs and services Carrier-branded A/C units. Then we had Grande come out and asked them to price based on the same Carrier A/C unit, even though Grande specializes in Goodman A/C units. Despite the brand specialty difference, they were willing to assist us and quoted according to our request. We appreciated that they went out of their way to check all the details to ensure we were comparing apples to apples. They also quoted us $500 less than the other company, so we decided to go with Grande. One thing that stood out to me was that Grande scoured the Austin area for this Carrier model and grabbed it before any other company bought it. We were told it was the last unit the supplier had in stock! Grande was able to come the next day to install the A/C unit and new vents. We needed to replace our entire HVAC system as our previous system was 15+ years old. They finished everything that same day and made sure to clean up after themselves. The owner, Isael, personally checked the work and explained everything they did. There was an issue during installation when one of the workers accidentally made a hole in the ceiling. Isael assured me that they would take care of it. Sure enough, the following week, another company swung by to address the crack in the ceiling. They were in and out in under four hours. We did have a couple of issues arise post-installation. The first was how loud the new unit was compared to the old one. Isael himself came out to address it, reading the manual and taking the time to troubleshoot it. He patiently explained why the unit was louder (more airflow requires more air intake), though he did his best to adjust the settings on the A/C unit to make it quieter. The second issue was a buzzing sound that started about a month after installation. Isael again came out to troubleshoot and sent one of his service technicians to fix the issue. A capacitator was loose and needed to be replaced. Once that was done, we had no problems with the new HVAC system, and our air is cold! Grande replaced an undersized A/C compressor for me in July 2022. Did a great job and it fixed the situation of our upstairs not cooling properly - exactly as they said. Very happy with the original work and working with them. In May 2024, that unit quit cooling. They had multiple visits and diagnoses of the problem. And the more they did, the worse the problem became. The diagnosis changed from it was a thermostat, it was the backing plate on the thermostat, it was a shorted out wire next to the compressor, and finally it was the entire compressor. The last one was tough for me to accept because initially the tech showed me that by wiring around the thermostat everything worked perfectly. But by the end, the compressor no longer worked at all. During the process of figuring out what was wrong, two Nest thermostats were also burnt out. The compressor itself was still in warranty, but I was charged $2400 in labor - plus I was out $450 plus for the two Nests. I told them I was pretty unhappy about having to pay the full amount to fix the compressor, since their tech had showed me that the compressor was working properly prior to them trying to fix things. However, everyone just gave me different explanations as to why I needed to pay the full cost (including the tech's supervisor who told me "well, I have to pay my guys""). The owner Izzy had been out of town during this event and he called me around a month later. He was convinced the problem was caused by a power outage or something similar, but he had seen my negative review and wanted to make me happy. He offered to refund $800 - and I think this was a reasonable discount. So I'm on the fence with Grande Air. The good: - The initial install was great. - The people are largely pleasant to work with. - The owner tried to do the right thing with a refund. - And there is a chance that they were not at fault for the problem. The bad: - my AC has now cost me 50% more than the original price and I can't help but find the coincidence that the compressor went out right when they were testing a little hard to buy. - it was a struggle to get them to take responsibility for a problem that looked strongly like they caused. read more

Absolute rip off. They charge you $1200 for a fan motor. It's a $150 part, that took them 30 minutes to install. It's a wonder how they arrive at $1200? I tried calling many times, sent emails and never got a response. Look elsewhere than a company takes advantage of their customers. read more

My AC went out 3/13/25. I called the original installers of Grande Air. They had 3 different people to come out and still couldn't figure out the pressures then damaged my compressor. It is now 6 weeks and no resolution. My AC system just hit 4 years old. I still do not have a working system. Told it will cost almost 3 K for labor and refrigerant. 4 years ago when it was put it, 5 months later I had problems with it. The next year it needed more refrigerant. This 11k system has been now a nightmare. I have asked the owner to call me to discuss my concerns of not only one person but three to replace a coil then they damaged my compressor. Definitely not to the fault of my own and yet I am still without an AC unit. This is very disappointing and thought this company was better than that. read more

I put off making this review as long as I possibly could. 4 years ago we paid over $10K to have a brand new AC and Heating unit installed. The entire system was brand new. Less than a year later it stops working, can't get the fan to come on. It takes them a week but they come out, they fix it. 4 months later, stops working again,they come out and fix it. Then something else goes wrong with it. This keeps happening off and on. It does not seem to work well, despite the fact that we do take good care of it, change filters, etc... Now, even though I have the AC set to between 70 & 72, it is blowing hot air, and it's almost as hot inside as it is outside, it's saying that it's 85 inside my house. I can't get ahold of anyone to come out and check to see what's wrong with it this time. I haven't been able to enjoy my brand new unit for a full year without something breaking or not working properly! read more

What an amazing team of people! I came home from vacation and my house was hot. It was hot outside- Austin in the summer hot. I spoke with Petra and she was able to get a technician out within a couple of hours. That in itself is quite a feat given it was after 1:30pm. Jaime Ortega was dispatched and came to check the system. This guy has great customer service skills! He is a is very respectful, polite, communicate well, explains what is going on and is very thorough. He was joined by Carlos, who is also very polite, considerate and knowledgeable. These guys make a really great team. I was told there were several problems and I explained I had been trying to deal with one side of my house not working properly and the other side never getting cool in the summer and warm in the winter. My electric bills over the last 2 months were unsustainable. They went into the attic and traced down all the ductwork, discovered some of it had been installed incorrectly and they formulated a solution. It was also decided by me to replace the entire AC system. By the time this was decided, it was well after 6:30pm. I asked when we would be able to get this to happen and they said - tomorrow! They showed up on time and regrettably I did not get the 3rd team member's name- and he deserves a shout out too. They worked for more than 8 hours in that horrible heat- got the system installed and everything cleaned up, packed up, and left the space better than they found it. I really appreciate skilled professionals that respect someone's home and who take the time to talk with me and let me know what is going on, what they are finding and how to take care of my investment. I have chosen for several years to be part of their maintenance membership plan and I have never been disappointed- even when I have an unexpected event - like a system failure while on vacation. I have had the privilege of meeting one of the owners, talking with the administrative staff, and 3 technicians that are really awesome people. These guys care about the quality of work they perform and they work to keep their customers happy. No wonder they have such great reviews! I am very happy with the service I received, the way I was treated and the value they bring to their industry. Keep up the good work! We called Grande a few weeks ago when our thermostat began creeping up to 80/81 and our A/C was blowing hot air. We had experience with these guys before - and their hard-sell, slightly shady tactics - so purposely called another company that had been more honest. Unfortunately, we must have saved the numbers wrong because we ended up with Grande coming out again after mistakenly calling them. First red flag: they were able to come out immediately and when the serviceman arrived he reported that business was slow (in the midst of the hottest summer on record). He then went in and out of all our rooms, the attic, outside. He showed us an (admittedly) very dirty air filter which he pulled. Then he began saying that our unit was old, time to be replaced and that they had 0% financing and could even get us into an Air B&B during the install if necessary. He showed me pictures of "water damage" (which was a stain on the sheetrock that's been there since we bought this house) and "rust" on our pipes (not a spec of visible rust) that, if it corrodes, would leave us susceptible to carbon monoxide poisoning. He also said that flooding could occur at anytime, and made it seem like we had to replace our A/C unit within days to save us from catastrophe. I knew he was using scare tactics but I reluctantly agreed for the salesman to come out in the afternoon to discuss new unit options just in case. When he did, he quoted us $21,000 for a new unit and ducts (our house is 1200 square feet, for reference). Outrageous. We then called another company that came highly recommended (30+ years of business in Austin) and they took a look at our unit and said it was fine and fully functional. It had been the air filter all along. Don't let these guys in your house. They are scam artists with decent branding/marketing. I'm guessing they also scrub reviews which is why it looks like they have 4.5 stars. Whatever you do, get a second opinion before you commit to anything with Grande. read more

The ac unit went out and these guys charged $10,000 USD. TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A SIMPLE REPLACE AND INSTALLATION. I've gotten multiple ac units done at different houses and none of them cost over $5,000. They lied to my mom and said it's because the cost of gas is high right now or because of Covid which was obviously just to trap her into paying such a ridiculous figure. This is a true professional- honest and thorough. I had done my own quick assessment that our reversing valve on our heat pump was bad. I jumped to the wrong conclusion and he could have charged me big bucks for replacing that reversing valve- that wasn't it, it was that the stat was bad (something I should have caught), and we got it replaced and he only charged me for the service call. Lamar and everything about it is funky and difficult, 18 foot ceilings, difficult access to the AC units. They came out same day and helped us out tremendously. Couldn't have been more pleased with the service we received. I called Casa Mech & Precision and both told me it would be at least a week before they could even assess the unit. I told them it was leaking a great deal of water, enough that I had to use the wet vac, but still it would be a week. After 4 days of calling every day to see if they could come sooner, and being denied, despite the amount of water soaking my carpet. THEN, I heard about Grande Air Solutions. Lucynda said she would see what she could do. Grande was at our house in about 3 hours. Ivan determined the issue, called his supervisor, James, out for the "game plan". They got together, told us what we needed, and 3 hours later, Christian was here to repair it. (Christian even repaired some areas that had been done quite right by Precision when they put our new heater in. They even offered to bring a portable unit out to keep us comfortable while the work was being done! The entire experience was quick, efficient, and professional. Fantastic job! I wanted to give these guys a 5 star review. They were friendly, explained everything, and were able to come within 24 hours. They were right on time for their appointment as well. HOWEVER .... the upcharge on parts is absolutely absurd!!! And while I had intended to go back, I will find someone who doesn't rip people of for parts. On top of the $89 service fee, they charged me $180 for a Global USA 45/5 capacitor which I was able to find online (after of course, as I needed things fixed ASAP) for $24.74 (they charged me over 7x the price!!!!) and they charged me $220 for a Supco Superboost Kick Start, which I was able to find online for $25-30 (almost 9x the price!!!). This is literally the most ludicrous upcharge I have ever paid for any product. Thank god they had good service, otherwise I'd be giving them 1 star. Worst service I've ever had. I rarely write reviews but this is ridiculous. Tech came out 2 weeks ago and I was promised a part and repair within 7 days. Now 2 weeks later in the middle of 100 plus temps, I can't even get a call back. I've called the main number 3 or 4 times with again promises of a tech calling me back, but still nothing. Tech was friendly but made a $7,100.00 mistake. I told him my unit wasn't functioning and no air coming out of vents. He said I had a coil leak and parts weren't available. A second opinion from an honest and experienced tech and $120 later and the system has been running great for a few weeks now. I contacted the owner for feedback. The ac in our condo was leaking and after having 2 different quotes and almost being ripped off by 2 other companies my friend recommended Israel.
