Beware of insurance frauds that work behind the front desk and have zero care for elders, sick patients, or anyone that could be your own loved one. (Beatrice) was the girly who received a call from my mother's Humana insurance at the ending of November to confirm the in network providers that can see my mother kelly, for an annual cleaning. We were on 3 way and confirmed the in network provider at this office would see my mother Kelly on December 4th. 2025, couldn't make that apt so we rescheduled for the 11 of Dec. cleaning was OK. 2 days later my mom swallows her tooth and I take her back to make sure it's nothing serious since they did the x rays and nothing was out of the ordinary. They said she needs a root canal.. it happens I guess but I took care of that separately since they didn't care to find one in network. They just did random referrals for a specialist and told us to come back to do the crown Jan 7. Scheduled for that timing assuming the root canal was going to be done before January 7 2026. Whatever. Yesterday I get a call from Beatrice. NOT BEFORE YESTERDAY OR ANY DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY OR AFTER MY MOM RECEIVED CLEANING SERVICES, about my moms insurance not covering the crown or her bridge which I wasn't to concerned about about since we are focused on the root canal and the future crown placement. She then goes over payment options which I told her I'm not interested in then says her insurance also didn't cover her cleaning so you have to pay that. I was confused because don't you get important notice BEFORE YOU ARE EVEN SEEN OR SCHEDULED TO BE SEEN BY A PROVIDER?! Mind you they had 2 weeks to do so before we went in for the cleaning. If the apt was never made for jan 7, when would we have gotten notice of the insurance "denying" the cleaning services on Dec 11? Did it not concern anybody at all regarding how Kelly was able to be scheduled,seen, and just walk in and out without "verifying" insurance first? NOT sure if Beatrice suffers from short term memory loss, maybe she does. Or (DIDN'T CARE ENOUGH) to re check the exact provider in network who did the services for my mother Kelly on December 11, as well as how to properly do her job and make it make sense before even calling me to her threatening to send the bill on my mothers name to collections if I didn't pay. Girl. I had to do her job for her and call Humana, do a 3 way and Beatrice was even rude to Alexia who was trying to help Beatrice understand why she's wrong TURNS OUT BEATRICE OVERLOOKED THE PROVIDER WHO DID THE CLEANING SERVICES FOR MY MOTHER AND BILLED HER UNDER A DIFFERENT PROVIDER and needs to submit a new claim with the PROPER MPI # AND THE PROPER PROVIDER. At this point Beatrice cared more about Humana spreading "misinformation" saying how they need to be trained, and not taking responsibility for lack of knowledge. Blaming it on them as the reason why my mother wasn't approved when asked by alexia if Beatrice even called to insure nothing was overlooked. No remorse she hangs up on Alexia after she got exhausted listening to how she could help my epileptic mother who is incapable, to resubmit the proper MPI# AND THE PROPER PROVIDER and forms to ensure that my mother, MY SICK MOTHER doesn't get stuck with this outlandish bill. No double checking no reconfirming. No call afterwards to reaffirm the miscommunication. Beatrice immediate response was "ok I'll send it to collections then" as a result of a lazy broad overlooking a simple task. Did nobody go oh let's double check the provider she saw to make sure we didn't bill her under a different provider? I guess time will tell since all my mom has is me to make sure she doesn't get screwed off by grand smile dental of Maspeth. I doubt it's a genuine mistake. Honestly, this sounds like they probably have done this "mishap" before and left it at that. Who knows if someone was left confused in the same situation and had nobody like me to do their job for them or even ask the proper questions and come to an understanding... I trusted Grand Smile Dental with a full-mouth restoration and paid over $22,000 upfront. What followed was months of pain, silence, and disappointment. Medications were delayed. Emails were ignored. I sent multiple messages to Dr. Hofer and never received a response. My temporary teeth constantly failed, and I was left unable to eat or speak comfortably. My husband and I have been going here for years because of the convenient location. We never needed any actual "work", so this office was fine for the general checkup and cleaning. However, recently my husband needed a root canal. He went here and instead of doing it herself, Alexandra had her helper (probably a student) do it because she was too busy. He has pain and it is now infected and Alexandra is referring my husband to an endodontist to fix her screw up. Better yet, when I called her office to complain, their "system says" Alexandra did the root canal herself. Insurance fraud! Never going here again and never recommending to anyone. I just went back for my 6 month check-up and for the first time in years everything was ok thank God. Now when I go we're on a first name basis. Reason?? I started bringing my kids to see her too! They used to fear/hate going g to the dentist, not anymore. God blessed me with 6 kids, 5 have been to see her and they all ask the same question, why didn't you find this dentist years ago?? Their fear and loathing of the dentist chair is gone. It's hard to find a good dentist, so to have one that the whole family likes is a real blessing. DR. Khaimov is awesome!!!!! read more

This place is horrible . I made appointment for cleaning there. Since is a COVID-19 pandemic going on , I asked how do they operate to make sure that it will be the safe place to go for cleaning. I was told that all personnel wears masks and protective equipment, and that only one patient is allowed in the office for appointment and that they constantly disinfect everything there . They assured me that they do everything to keep patients safe. However when I arrived there the personnel ( two women at the front desk ) didn't wear masks. When I asked why , one of them told me that COVID is not air born infection and they don't have to wear masks because there is small plastic shield between us. Moreover when I stepped out for couple minutes to make a phone call, there were three other patients in the small waiting room at the same time ( one of them took her mask off). . They also asked me to sign papers , that were stating that if I get exposed to the Covid there they are not responsible ! I couldn't believe what was going on there . They are lying about the safety measures and make you sign papers that won't allow you to sue them if you get sick there. This place is so unsafe. They do not care about patients. I guess it's only business for them. All is matter is money . I got very upset and left. read more

after having a bad experience with Dr. Gary Minkowitz who tried to pull an insurance scam with me saying i had double the cavities and root canals i didn't need, coming here was a relief. I finally found a good and honest dentist. Nice office, Nice area, lovely staff. Walked in and she started on filling my cavities right away. Very pleasant experience. Also they send u text message confirmations which i love! and yes you have to pay the meters to park outside but the receptionists will refill your meter for you if needed. read more

After a particularly bad dental experience, I avoided dentists - and proper oral care - for nearly 20 years. Needless to say, my teeth and gums were in very poor condition. With the recent birth of my first grandchild and another daughter's wedding looming, I knew it was time to overcome my fear and embarrassment so I did a google search and found Dr. Khaimov. From what I read, not only was she a skilled dentist, she also demonstrated genuine compassion for her patients. Although It was a bit of a hike for me, I traveled from Manhattan to Queens to get the ball rolling. Sure enough, Dr. Khaimov was just as she was portrayed: compassionate and skilled. She listened to me without judgement and I could see the wheels turning as she began to put a treatment plan together. She knew how traumatized I was and was extremely gentle with me. It's been 8 weeks since my first appointment, and now I have a smile I'm proud to show off. I'm all smiles in recent photos with my grandchild and no longer fear the wedding photographer. For the first time ever, I actually look forward to going in for check ups and cleanings. Additionally, the doctor's staff is friendly and professional. The office and treatment areas are spotless. I never received any voicemail or text and if they possibly had the wrong number they took it upon themselves to just cancel and couldn't accommodate my visit. I made an appointment with Grand Smile Dental after reading the glowing reviews here on Yelp. I had my first appointment today, and was very happy I did! The staff was friendly, and the office, restroom and exam rooms were spotlessly clean. The equiment was all very high tech and impressive. The hygenist was excellent. Dr.Khaimov was professional and more importantly, caring and nice. She even weorked longer than my scheduled visit time so that she could fix my cracked front tooth before I leave for vacation this weekend! I even got a discount!
