I would like to share my awful experience visiting this dental clinic. I made an appointment for 5:00 PM because I needed a new retainer for my teeth since mine had come off. Upon arrival, the administrator demanded a payment of $75 without explaining what exactly it was for. I assumed it was the payment for the retainer and agreed. After the payment, I was directed to the dentist's office where I was forced to wait for my doctor for two hours! When the doctor finally arrived, he informed me that they do not make retainers at all and offered me expensive dental caps for $550 instead. Moreover, I was told that the $75 I had paid earlier was for the consultation and they refused to refund the money. I am extremely disappointed and outraged by the unprofessionalism and irresponsibility of the clinic's staff. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at "Dental Made Easy." I was seeking relief from a cracked tooth and knew before arriving that I wanted the tooth out. The original dentist that I saw was kind but the procedure did not go as planned. After numerous needles my gums were not getting numb which led to me going home without the completion of an extraction and extremely sore gums. Not only did the extraction not occur but I was charged $75 for the visit. The next day in desperation I returned to see another doctor, Dr. Roman. I will say that doctor Roman got me numb and popped my tooth out in minutes. He is a very skilled dentist but I did not appreciate being upsold to get a bone graph that I really did not want to get. I agreed to get the bone graph because we reviewed the insurance payment schedule and calculated that I would get nearly $500 back from my insurance. I paid $1100 out of pocket and left. Fast forward 2 months later and I am receiving back to back letters detailing that they are missing information from Dental Made Easy and without this information my claim is now pending and will eventually be denied if no action is taken. I've made multiple attempts to rectify this with no success. To add insult to injury I was told I would only be getting $206 back. What happened to the nearly $500 we discussed? I have received so many letters in the mail I am almost certain that I will not receive anything at this point. This was not an easy experience for me. I was charged for an initial visit after not getting my tooth out, was told a different dollar amount for reimbursement which was inaccurate and I haven't received the very little bit of money that I should get back because of "missing information." So last year, I bit into a hard food and managed to break a tooth. I was uninsured, so you can imagine how panicked I was. I googled places to go for the uninsured, and this place popped up. I am so glad I gave this place a chance because not only did they fix my problem via a really good crown, but my overall dental hygiene has really improved. They are passionate and experienced doctors who take pride in what they do- both the dental and medical staff. Dr. Nabil is an amazing Doctor- he listens carefully and always knows a solution. The visits are quick and stress free. He is also a very good teacher- there are new interns and nurse practitioners who are placed here during the end of their schooling, dr. Nabil does an amazing job giving them hands on training and explaining everything in great detail. Dr. Roman is the best dentist I have ever been to. I saw dr. Bral who was very informative n detailed which i liked. The dentist was the one who cleaned my teeth instead of the hygenist. Usually the hygenist cleans the teeth so i was surprised but happy bc the dentist did a thorough cleaning. Recently, it was a privilege to receive outstanding dental care from Dental Made Easy in Forest Hills, NY. The waiting room is spacious and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing. The dental hygienist, Miss Lorrana, is welcoming and she is unusually adept at preparing the patient for the services desired. She took several bite wing X rays, and she was methodical and explanatory throughout the process. She is an excellent communicator. The attending dentist, Dr. Milana Abramov , DDS, has a most pleasant and calming demeanor. She is unusually reassuring and provides pragmatic solutions that will assist the patient achieve better oral health. With numerous dental offices in the Forest Hills area it begs the question, why would I leave my current dentist and venture beyond my borders of comfort? In addition, now having to travel via car or motorcycle in an effort to engage in a an activity I tend to avoid like the plague, dental work. I digress from listing my reasons for opting out of a twenty five year relationship in lieu of sharing my current status of my current dental office. As Mom's all over impress upon us all as youths "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." With the current condition of the rear portion of my mouth, there was serious attention and work that needed to be preformed. Just below older root canals that were done over twenty years ago, there were infections that had taken root (literally) within and below my gum line. I had not felt pain from these infections as the teeth no longer had the root which sends the pain signals, but the inadvertent neglect caused bone loss. When Dr. Roman sat with me to discuss a game plan for the procedures I would need, he spoke softly, calmly and definitively thereby reassuring my inner desire to be completely assured that I had my new dentist. This is where my strong recommendation form a person whose council I highly regard thankfully came into place. Typically I would research, call, interview, whatever I could to assure myself to the highest level I had made a wise choice. Dr. Roman has won my trust and my full confidence lending itself to my knowledge that when the time is appropriate, I will utilize the other wing of Health Professionals clinic which deals with most all medical care needs. Sometimes you need medical assistance and the right people are there. I hope it wasn't a coincidence but the front desk lady to the medical assistant or physician assistant, I was treated very well, they were empathetic and were aggressive in scheduling a referral and the same day the receptionist at the referral doctor called and scheduled me with an appointment. I have been going to the referred doctor on a somewhat regular basis now and he came highly recommended from staff at this urgent care. I think it was Dr. Salib who came out and greeted me to talk over everything, but from the bottom up, everyone was friendly and patient. A faulty filling by another dentist fell out leaving me in desperate need of repair out of fear of causing further damage as the filling was very close to the nerve. After a few frantic calls around the neighborhood, admin at Dental Made Easy greeted me warmly and told me I could be accommodated same-day. I waited all of 30 mins (tops) , while my insurance info was entered and then seem by Dr. Roman and his dental hygienist, both of whom were very friendly and explained the treatment plan thoroughly. I became a patient at dental made easy about 2 years ago and since have gotten a couple of root canals, crowns, an implant and wisdom teeth removals. So far, they have been very accommodating with everything emergency appointments and walk in visits. The doctors as well as the other staffs are incredible. Highly recommend this place. I would not recommend this dental office because of their dishonest billing practices and the poor bedside manner of the doctor I was seen by that day. If you must visit this location, please place emphasizes on seeing an in-network doctor. When I called to schedule an appointment, I asked if my insurance was accepted lady on the phone said "yes", therefore, I proceeded with scheduling a routine cleaning believing that the doctor I would be scheduled to see would be in-network. During this visit I was informed I would need two fillings and that I would need to pay upfront because of the insurance provider's fee schedule but I would be reimbursed (at this point I should've been informed the doctor was out-of-network, it would be the courteous thing to do). Fast forward a week later the reimbursement check I received was surprisingly less than I expected come to find out the doctor that I saw was out of network. I called the office to clarify billing and the lady I spoke to was not helpful. I asked her "why was I scheduled to see an out-of-network doctor when I asked if they were in-network?". Her response was "You should have asked if the doctor was in-network." -_- I NEVER had this issue before! There have been instances where my PCP and my OBGYN would no longer be in network the office would made it VERY clear that they were out-of-network before proceeding with scheduling an appointment. In one case the dentist herself informed me as well as her front desk staff (talk about transparency). I have Aetna dental which is a widely accepted in my area. I chose this office due to the convenient location and great reviews. It would not have been difficult for me to find another dentist that was in network. The office could've let me know that they had no doctors in network available for the day I requested, I would've happily scheduled for another day. I make it a priority and look forward to getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months. I have visited many different dental offices throughout the city due to my insurance provider changing throughout the years and this, by far, was the worst cleaning I have EVER had. The doctor showed no concern when saliva and water ran down my face soaking the sweater I was wearing (not even an apology) he continued working as if I didn't have to leave his office on a freezing February day wearing a wet sweater. After he left the room the sweet dental assistant, Lorana, went and wet some paper towel and wiped down my face for me that alone demonstrates how bad it was. The worst part was when I tried to let him know that I was in pain instead of stopping to listen his response was "come on... you were able to open wider when we first started... we need to get this done". I paid out of pocket to get the fillings and I'm fully aware that the work needs to get "done". He just assumed I was complaining about the drilling, which I was not. I was charged 75 dollars for a visit if two min and nothing done. I think this is injustice

TL;DR - they diagnosed me with 11 cavities and asked me to pay $1,800 when I had 0 cavities. I came for a regular exam and was told that I had 11 cavities that would cost me $1,800.00 out of pocket (after my dental insurance covers $2,000.00).  When shocked about the amount of cavities I was "diagnosed" with, I was told by Dr. Badalov that this was "normal" and not a big deal.  Immediately after my diagnosis, the office manager came into the exam room to explain the cost of services.  Feeling rushed into making a costly decision on the spot, I elected to seek a second opinion from a reputable dentist (who has treated my family for years) on Long Island two (2) days later.  Having felt skeptical from my experience at Dental Made Easy, I did not inform this dentist about my "diagnosis" of 11 cavities.  Much to my shock and dismay, after completing the unbiased exam, she informed me that I had 0 cavities.  I immediately informed her of my previous diagnosis from Dr. Badalov, and showed her the print-out that the office manager provided to me with the alleged treatment that needed to be completed.  She was shocked and appalled to say the least. I never went back to Dental Made Easy. One month later, I received a call from the office manager at Dental Made Easy. She claimed that my insurance company issued the check for the dental services I received on July 2, 2020 directly to me and, as a result, asked if I could drop off the check.  She also suggested that she charge my credit card on file for $330.00, stating "Remember the agreement we had?" which I found to be deceptive and coercive. I called my insurance company (because why would they send the check to me?) and was advised that the $330.00 check was issued directly Dental Made Easy the month prior. It seems like Dental Made Easy double bills their patients after trying to convince them to sit for extensive dental work they don't even need. The reason why I went there was because they are close to work and had such great reviews. If you take a few minutes to go through the 5 star reviews, you'll see that many of the Yelpers don't seem to live in the area or even NY. read more

Dental made easy made it very easy for you to buy their annual plans. During an examination they find ways to upsell you so that you could buy other products. I purchased three plans. One for my daughter, one for my husband and one for myself. Because of the pandemic and the fear around social contact we did not feel safe visiting a dentist for a cleaning. Our plans expired mid November. Our daughter called in early January and was told that they could not see her because her plan already expired. I called in March, now that I have taken the vaccine to ask for an exception because of Covid19. The answer was an adamant NO My recommendation is NEVER to buy a plan from Dental made easy. I was and unfortunately a current patient at this clinic now transitioning out to another practice due to the frustration that the practice doesn't value my time or most of its patients time. Very mismanaged patients are triple booked for appointments. I had a 6PM appointment had to wait 1 hour 15mins not even called in after complaining to leave they did X-rays which took 10 mins had to wait another 45 mins in the chair. The dentist examined me for 5-8 mins then left told me what I needed would take an hour the manager came took payment for services I need another 30 mins process, thereafter she came back in told me to wait another 45 mins as the dentist is completing another patient! So basically 6pm appointment became a 4-5 hour meant I would be completely done at 10-11 pm at night how ridiculous is that! I was forced to leave as my babysitter had to leave and I decided it wasn't worth waiting anymore. The dentist and the clinical staff seem caring but not worth it if you have a life and things to do. If you decide to go here make sure you have a LOT LOT of time to kill. The front desk and the manager are extremely unprofessional laughing about patients, gossiping and socializing as if it's personal time while patients are sitting for hours with no sympathy or regard. read more

At first glance, this facility is clean and bright. I was excited to have an urgent care facility so close to my office, as I've had excellent experiences with CityMD in Manhattan. The waiting area is all glass and completely open to the street, which is a little strange for privacy reasons. Most of the staff here is competent and friendly, although they do seem to be a bit overstaffed. When I was seen - the only patient in the office at the time - there were two nurses and a female doctor present in the examination room. (That's not counting Dr. Salib, who is the main physician there.) The female doctor was extremely unpleasant. She was not dressed professionally, and kept butting into my conversation with the nurses and Dr. Salib to ask me questions at random intervals, instead of taking a full history at the beginning. I think if you were just coming here for a quick check up, or maybe a flu shot, it might be fine, but here's where everything went south: First off, I am an otherwise healthy young woman in her late twenties. After I told Dr. Salib that I had chest pain, and after doing an EKG and sticking me with needles at his office, Dr. Salib sent me to the ER for additional testing that even he admitted was probably not necessary, despite my protests about doing so. (He gave me the option of going to the ER, which I agreed to do.) He assured me that I would be "in and out" because he had a contact there. Needless to say, I was not "in and out," but rather, spent five hours in the ER and had more unnecessary tests done, including a second EKG, an x-ray, and a blood test which the ER doctor told me was "silly" to have done, but that since Dr. Salib ordered it, she would do it anyway. The tests were all negative. Here's where it gets even stranger. Dr. Salib called the next day to tell me that he would make follow-up appointments for me with a cardiologist and a GI specialist. I told him that that I was uncomfortable with that, but that I would take referrals and look into it myself. A few days later, I got two phone calls confirming my appointments with a cardiologist and a GI doctor, both of which Dr. Salib made on my behalf despite being specifically instructed not to do so. Dr. Salib is pleasant in person, but he is incredibly aggressive in his treatment of both his patients and their conditions. Also, I've never heard of a doctor just setting up appointments for his patients with other practices. I will not be going back. (As an aside, after I followed up with another doctor, he told me it was acid reflux, gave me medication, and I'm 100% fine now. That appointment took fifteen minutes.) UPDATED 9/9/14 After posting my review yesterday, I received a call from someone at the facility asking me to take down my Yelp review. They tried to justify what the doctor had done. I explained that I had no issue with his being overly cautious, but the degree to which the doctor had been aggressive in his treatment of me as a person was unacceptable. Then, they again asked that I take the Yelp review down and instead write a negative review for the individual doctor on ZocDoc, which I also refused to do. They tried to tell me that a negative review about one doctor on Yelp reflected poorly on the rest of the staff. I responded that they should stand behind their doctors, since each doctor works as an employee of that company and presumably, they represent to their patients that they will get a consistent standard of care no matter who they see. There is nothing professional about this place. I went in for a tetnus shot and after charging my credit card was told they were out and could not administer the shot. I was credited my money back and was specifically told by the girl at the front desk to come back the next day and I would not be charged. I waited 2 days and when I came back there was still no tetnus shot available. Their response was to wait over 2 hours or to go to the pharmacy. When I mentioned that they should pick up the tab at the pharmacy, they said it wasn't going to happen because the girl at the desk should have never told me that in the first place. How is that my fault? They should stand behind their employees but clearly this isn't the case. This place is simply amazing! To be able to come here, without an appointment is just amazing. I visited them because I hurt my ankle while teaching class at the karate school. I got my X-rays done (thankfully negative) and full discussion of my various injuries. All questions answered quickly and willingly. They even found an orthopedic boot for my foot when it could no longer fit into my shoes after it was bandaged! So much better than the emergency room, which I would have never gone to because I know I would have waited for hours just to be seen. Dr.Salib and his staff are simply amazing. I normally do not leave review. However, on special occasion, i'd like to leave some thoughts behind only because i genuinely feel the extraordinary experience I had with Dental Made It Easy. The professionalism and caring manner was what impressed my father and me when we first came in. While the wait time was only 3 minutes, the receptionist Eleanna was very friendly and helped me with whatever questions I had. Dr. Rafael Boruchov (known as Dr. Roman) later introduced himself and did the whole procedure with utmost care and kindness to my father and me. Mike, Dr. Roman's assistant, was also at help and the duo was excellent. During the operation, Dr. Roman explained each individual X-ray of my teeth so I understood it more clearer. My knowledge of dentistry has widened since then. I did not go online and leave this review immediately right after the experience. Mainly because I believe the afterward result is as much important as the immediate result. Who knows how your teeth would feel like after 48 hours. Yet after 4 days, my teeth, as well as my father's are in comfort and I, myself, could not help myself going to the bathroom and checking the shininess, or smoothness of it. I would recommend Dr. Roman, Mike, and Eleanna, to everyone. To not only are the people who experienced with going to dentists to try them out, but also to the people who are hesitant to have their teeth checked after many years. Found my New Dentist. I am definitely happy I found this place and most of all very happy with my first visit. Dr. Roman and Dr. Bral provided me with a really great service. Both very informative which makes the whole visit more pleasant. The staff was good as well. read more
