Lunch special - rueben & caesar
    Pam H.

Okay place to stop for lunch on our way home from Northern Michigan. Nothing was bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again. For the quality and portion size, the place was a little pricey. Rueben was okay. Not bad just nothing to get excited about. Caeser salad was fine, not much flavor. Club sandwich was probably best thing we had, but not worth the $16 price tag. Service was very friendly but a bit slow. The peach sour on tap was very tasty. Overall, meh. If someone else wanted to stop there it would be fine, but ...

Loved my Gyro it was real lamb! The pita was more of a flat bread but still good . Other party had fish and chips I tasted fish flakey and good! My cousin had ribs that looked like to swoon over! His wife had blackened chicken which was fine too .,, They had indoor and outdoor seating ! Booths and high tables ! They forgot our cheese curd appetiser so we said please make sure it's off the bill which they did accomodate . Not needed anyway more than enough food! I'm not a fry person but they were fine !9

My husband and I were so excited to try this place, we're still semi-new to the area so we're trying to find our favorites. We tried once before and they closed early for a party . We walked in and there was no one to be found, couple minutes later a lady came from the back after we pressed the button, we were seated at a tiny table. Very tiny table, our waitress came over and my husband asked for a booth so we got to move. We were seated at a big booth and got our menus, I already knew I wanted wings and fries. I love chicken wings, and I was excited to try the ranch. I saw in the menu it was "house made" I absolutely love ranch. The waitress came with our drinks and took our choices down, I got the bone in wings and chronic fries. My husband chose the black and blue burger well done with sweet potato fries. We sat and chatted about how cute the place was. After a bit, probably like 25 minutes, the waitress came with our food, my fries, wings and 2 ranch which was VERY watery, my husband's burger and fries (not the sweet potato fries he asked for). I tried the wings, they were super dry, no flavor, tough and no sauce whatsoever. The ranch had absolutely no flavor. The chronic fries were disgusting. Absolutely stunk and had a sour taste, husband did NOT like his burger either, no flavor, sour taste. Fries were already cold. We told the waitress he asked for sweet potato fries so she brought them out, they were actually the only thing hot. This place is ehh, I definitely wouldn't recommend, I'm not trying it again. For $21 for a burger and fries I'd rather go to McDonald's. Waitress was super sweet. But the food was utterly disgusting.

Let me be perfectly clear... 75% of the visit was great! But a couple little things I can't get over drops this place to a 3* visit! The beer was fantastic! I enjoyed the only "coffee IPA" I've ever seen! The Ryes 'N Shine was Very unique and quite tasty. I also enjoyed the Monkey Mouth IPA. My wife enjoyed her wine flight as this place is a brewery, winery, and distillery! Quite impressive! But it was the eatery aspect that was just "meh" and very forgetful. The cheese curds are awful! Sorry, just our opinion, but they were so bland and tasteless. Now I got the wings. They were good and served with 2 sauces. Only $12 for 8 crispy, juicy wings. No complaints! BUT... my wife ordered a Caesar salad for $13! We all know what's in a Caesar salad... Romaine, Parmesan, Croutons, and dressing! For $13?? So, my wife decided to add chicken as that was an option. Either it doesn't say it, or we didn't look, but that added another $8 to the cost! That's right, a $21 salad! And it was the dryest, must have been cooked yesterday chicken EVER! It looked so unappealing, I actually felt sorry for my wife. Oh and the dressing? Where was it? It must have been soaked up by the chicken as it tried to hydrate itself?? The dryest, most overpriced salad known to mankind. I will definitely be back for their brews. I will just eat somewhere else.

Wow the food here is Ahmaaazingly delicious. I'm from Chicago and we were on our way to Ann Arbor, MI but it was time to head to lunch before we hit our destination. We decided to make a pit stop to Grand River Brewery. The food is well prepared and prices are reasonable. I was really impressed with the fish sandwich topped w an egg and sriracha sauce. We also ordered the club sandwich and that was so good. Really liked how they grilled the bread. And the Reuben Fritters were particularly good. It's my favorite now.

Is their outdoor patio dog friendly?

Hi Amanda. We love all the furry friends, but unfortunately due to licensing regulations we cannot allow pets, unless service animals, on the patio.

That's not what bothered me, the fact that so many ppl walked by and never asked about it or asked anything says something. Also got to hear a lot of complaining. Isn't that what you love? 99% certain the person 18 inches in front of us, working was complaining about a drink made for a customer. They didn't like it and his response was that they could leave. It has been years but I've been a server, bartender, etc. the conversations are going to take place but you don't do it directly in front of customers.

It's next door to their sister restaurant, Lovejoy. Walking in, the space is very dimly lit with a nice bar and some cozy seating. We were directed to a couch and a couple of low chairs. The menu is organized into different "chapters," with different themes for each chapter. They also have beer, wine, spirit-free options, and a spirits list. I wanted something fun, so I chose the Don the Beachcomber, a rum-based tiki cocktail that is flamed tableside. My friend got the Obstacle No. 1, which is a bourbon drink that they smoke at your table. Very theatrical and fun! These drinks were $20+ so pretty pricey, but worth it for a fun occasion. We had a nice time just relaxing and catching up. I would say it's not a great spot for a large group, but definitely a fun date night place. They have a small food menu of offerings from the restaurant next door that sounded tasty. We had just eaten but I'd be interested in their small plates. I'm so glad I got to experience this place. We arrived at 9:45pm and were seated at a cute, cozy little couch and table setup. The hostess handed us both a drink menu and a separate food menu. Looking through it, I was thrilled to see quite an expansive cocktail list broken down by "chapters," as well as several small snack options clearly marked with a gluten-free (GF) label. Unfortunately, the experience was a bit disappointing once we tried to order. Despite the online hours stating the venue closes at 11:00pm our server informed us that the kitchen was already closed. There is no indication online of what time the kitchen closes, and it was incredibly disappointing to be handed a dedicated food menu by the hostess only to be told moments later we couldn't order anything. When I asked our server for recommendations and which specific cocktails were gluten-free, she mentioned she was new and had to go check. She returned about 10 minutes later, only to give a vague answer that "most drinks were gluten-free" without offering an actual recommendation or helpful suggestion. My husband ended up ordering a non-alcoholic drink, but between the kitchen confusion and the lackluster service, I opted not to get anything at all. It's a cool venue with a lot of potential, but they should put their kitchen hours online and better train their staff on the menu.
