The menu was tweaked from the standard fare and made interesting and appealing. I had the Honey glazed ginger chicken Alfredo with a salad, hubby had the Buffalo Crispy Chicken wrap. Both meals had plentiful portions, and I must say, the fries are delish. The place was packed with hard-working people that live in the area. It was karaoke night, with two birthday parties, and it was hopping! The server was attentive and wanted to get us in and out since we weren't in either party. The reunion could have been more elegant and memorable, this is our last golden years, it could've been better. The fish dinner was over cooked, the Fries were burnt and the oil was dirty and they could've changed or cleaned it. You could taste it was old oil. They could've been more organized. read more

Solid 3.5 out of 5. Menu has a decent variety. Price points are okay. It's one of the only places in the area for larger groups. Family friendly for the most part. Visiting for the July 4th weekend and wanted to give SandHiill a try. So glad we did! Considered many menu items (all sounding great) but the waitress said their Mexican food was really good so hubby had their Wet Burrito and I ordered the quesadillas. And of course, you can't eat Mex without a Margarita!! The food was delicious and the drinks were perfect!! This place is a bit out of town on Kalamazoo Ave. but well worth the drive. (Maybe 5 minutes out). Plus, on the way back into town, you can stop at True North for some very scrumptious ice cream - flavor overload!!!!. read more

One of the best steak places I know! It's totally delicious! I had a ribeye steak and it was tender and just the way I wanted it. The frog fries are very tasty(I think it has a special blend of spices that makes it unusually tasty). Bloody Mary was also great ! We were here on Saturday night so were lucky to enjoy the band was playing jazz and blues tunes. The service was outstanding! The waiters were always in time to get our orders, ask if everything is ok and pick up the plates. Very nice lady:) We'll definitely will stop by sometime if heading east. Sandhill has upped their game. Took my parents there last night for dinner vs. Schuler's. I got the perch, my father the steak and shrimp, and mom the chicken breasts. Not one complaint. Perch was some of the best I've had - breading had a simple elegance. Steak was perfectly pink as ordered. Mom said chicken was perfect. Service was extraordinary, and the place was packed on a Monday evening - which says a lot. Kudos to the hard work the owners and staff put into this place. This used to be one of my favorite spots. Sadly went tonight and learned that they are not following Covid precautions. I saw a ton of people up dancing and walking around the restaurant without masks. My server had no mask on, just a face shield!!! The face shield is only recommended as a last resort for people who cannot wear a mask only in cases of severe breathing issues. We were appalled to see such a lack of regard for people's lives. Unfortunately, I didn't look around to see what was happening until I was eating the food my server had just breathed on. Hope I don't get Covid! They do have low carb options and prices are fare. If you are look for a good place to pick up an infection that is 20 times deadlier than the flu you will have a decent dining experience. read more

We had a very good and friendly waitress. However, we had some problems with the food. Both of our kids ordered hot dogs which came out cold although they didn't complain. The food was good, although the bar seemed to be the emphasis. The menu was nothing overwhelming, with a small range of selections that seemed just a bit more pricey than other area restaurants. The problem was the service, or lack thereof. The waitress totally forgot our appetizer. We would have been happy to ask about it, if she ever checked on us. One of the four at our table even remarked at how skilled she was at avoiding eye contact. Ok, so no appetizers, and empty drink glasses. The salads are a nice mix of greens, not just iceberg lettuce, they got that right too. My entree arrived (Hawaiian chick Monte Cristo style), the bread is missing. The menu talks up the bread, but they forgot. Luckily the manager was available as our waitress was still AWOL. I must say again, the food was good, at least what they remembered to bring us. The bill arrives, they got it half right. The prices they charged didn't match the menu or the 'specials board' as we walked in. It's not like I asked for anything special, just don't charge me more than what you printed in your menu. For those that think I should give it another try, this was my other try.
